Hi ossify, saw that your alpha v6's rod seems shorter than the original rod. Did you cut them? When fixed up to my bedroom, it feels miserably low. Would it wobble should you cut them? esp high speed? and does it require balancing? thanks in advance/

Hi Happy, Thanks for the compliments Interesting read. Oh that ain't my fridge space; it's the base for my full kitchen cabinet The space on left is for my fridge (rather large size actually) Oh dear, sounds like a tight path back home each day brothers. Neubie, why don't you write in to TC and ask for recommendation? I realised our TC is quite effective actually.

Yes, you got that istel, So far, I have no complains (thus far) with his company (just that my contractor is fussy when they soiled the painted walls during the last installation. Will give a review at the later stage when they do the a/c testing. Stay tune. Hihi, how's everything so far countblessing To address your quiries;

Hi istel, From your pics, I'm seeing a top beam (with a wall) seperating both your rooms right? Your current layout seems to be quite optimum, nevertheless by relocating the ac fancoil to top left (at your beam) in your common room is also possible, however, a small portion of trunking will be visible, this trunking will drill through a hole to join to the mbr trunking) Your contractor is right, going through the beam is prohibited. My unit doesn't have the beam (as can be seen in the 2nd pc of post #38), thereafter the wall was rebuild with a partition wall. You can see run the same manner as me, my common bedroom trunking runs like your current layout, however instead of heading down vertically to the ground when, mine hugs along the beam along the room (as seen in 2nd pic of post #129) and thereafter it runs down to the original exit to the compressor when it hits the other side of the room. I don't like the idea of running along the skirting floor, as it restricts placement of a lot of objects. So I rather run overhead, on top.. Just so happens that I flushes it, hugging along my beam. I believe your contractor should be experienced enough to advise you accordingly.

Fancoils and Condenser Installation completed MBR Hall Bedroom I like the very clean look for both the Hall & Bedroom, no visible sights of ugly trunkings. Nevertheless, the reault of this is all run within the MBR as I previously posted. One thing that I learned is, it is not necessary to wait for false ceiling to be up before installation of A/C fancoils. Should you be doing false ceiling/ Lighting Box, remember to ask them to do a cutout for your proposed A/C fans (as in my Hall) as well as window curtains/ blinds areas.

water pressure Was asked by my contractor to check with the PUB guys regarding my trickling low flow of water. Mr Shamsudin, a SNr Tech officer with his men came down promptly today to do some checks after I raised my concern. Armed with a water pressure bar, he disengaged the to my unit and plant his device to measure of the water presure. Findings: My unit has a healthy 1.4 bar, average expected HDB pressure. however, I'm experiencing a low volume flow, in such a case; Mr Shamsudin explained that he will raise this issue to the Town Council (TC). The water tank on the top of each HDB is under the charge of PUB however the pipe distribution to the units are under TC. It is expected & about time for the TC to upgrade the old alloy main pipe; though physically the pipe looks pretty decently big, but the actual hole within maybe much smaller, he explained. Moreover, my unit being in a relatively higher level, it is expected to experience a lower pressure of water. Truth is, the lower your level your unit is, you will experience a higher pressure. picture a waterfall for instance. Here's an article on a similar read. For PUB: call 63809832

Hi sfk7; The LED downlights comes as 1 piece of equipment, no additional transformer is necessary (or least that I know of) so it requires your electrician to fix onto your running cables. (Will let you know once I fix it tomorrow) Yes, LED normally requires smaller voltages hence a transformer is required, not for the downlights. For the LED strips that I previously mentioned (from online) you are required to purchase the transformer. When you refer to halegon bulb, are you refering to the direct replacement, take out halogen, plug in LED or are you are refering to the power equlavent (or what they call the lumens "brightness")

The corrected Lbox width. From a miserly 25cm to a 30cm The KY guys ordered a 2.5" hinge up instead. Ammended work in progress. 2 days later, KY completed the false ceiling/ Cove installation. Contractor commented the work is a little rough, nevertheless I'm satisified with their work. Review of Kow Yee Sales (knowledge, advice): 9/ 10 Installation (worksmanship): 8/10 Prices : 9/ 10. quality of product/service: 9/10 (learning of their mistake that the initial Cove-hinge is low/ poor space allocation, they stripped the whole thing and reordered the bigger hinge) aftersales: N.A

19/11/10 (day 25) False ceiling & Ligthing box MBR Lbox Notice the old school of thread & mark scheme. Before After Hall Lbox+Cove When the KY guys were about half-way to completion of the Lbox&Cove installation, my contractor stopped them and make ammendents: 1) the Cove lightings hinge-up portion is too low (1") As such, the T5 and wires would be exposed made visible to the human eye, 2) Flaw proportion: The intended space allocation for LBox+Cove is 45cm. The allocation for the Lbox was too small, 25cm to fit the PLCs while the allocation for Cove was too wide, 20cm. This will make the PLC all cramped towards the wall rather than centering in the middle making it look very out of proportion. Major changes have to be made immediately else I live on with the flawed proportions. I decided to go with my contractor. The KY guys have to tear it down and rebuild again.

Sitex, a good place to look out for offers; Remember to do your homework on the TV & mircowave. there's also always pre/post christmas/ new year sales.. Sales & Tactics ps: don't be too caught up with those so-called "3 sets" at this price scam Setup: Salesman goes on stage; indicating there's only 3 (or 5 sets) at this special price: was $3xxx, then thereafter unveil to be $1XXX, suddenly hands are raised, 1, 2, sets are sold.. and there you are, out of fear of missing this deal, grab the last piece thinking you have got a good catch. Truth to the matter is; those earlier 2 sales are just decoys. And hopefully by toying with the consumer's Kiasu mentally, forces him to make a hasty (maybe irrational) decision at tt limited time. chances are there are many, many of this set available and what more, prices are probably usual wkend salesprice. So do your homework; e.g you know you intend to buy this e.g 50" plasma tv, note the sales price (let's not even go to normal retail price). So you know you get the real deal when the price is right. Display sets; Certain display sets; e.g mircowave, refrigators are worth the buy, as they are not used for demostration purposes. Check the terms and conditions, normal warranty still covers? TV display- buy or not to buy? Some salespersons says that they are brand new for show only on this expo. But how creditable is it? There are no 'running hours" meters like a car to prove it. So even if you must buy, the warranty, is it limited? or warranty is like of normal sets? Do ask for any accessories it comes with, certain display are sold as "As is". E,g no 3D glasses, no delivery etc. Are you able to replace with another bedframe then? I've gotten myself a storage bed as well, with a limited space of 3-room, i thought i sure could use all the storage locations which I possibly could find.

Sounds like you are getting new items to go for your extreme make-over. Is the floorplan from your FSM the new proposed layout? do you have a before/after floorplan? Did Donny came up with a solution for your light solution your converted bedroom? Must it be natural light? even so, by night it will still be dependable on electrical lightings.. I would go with the full glass panel (It would not come cheap btw), curtains will be added for privacy purpose. What's your consideration for your aircon selection? Normally ladies are won over by aesthetic value of the item; in this case LG would beat the rest rest of the rivals. However do note that LG has one of the lowest COP (efficiency) amongst the rest as well, and it doesn't come cheap. My aircon selection is simple; high efficiency (in turn using less power). refer to my a.c selection here.

That makes alot of sense, so it's somewhat like on"standby mode" consuming vampire wattage I suppose. Couldn't find any articules supporting the actual power consumption. Yea, it's rather costly and only certain store casrries this product, managed to use my home-fix voucher from my Ariston oven purchase.. Thanks for the heads up neubie; wasn't aware of the reprograming portion. Pleasure is all mine.
