initially lookin for system 4 but i scared if the compressor give way then i die. so now plan is to go for 2 set of system 2. if one give way, at least the other still can use and if i switch on all 4 units, all will be cool so oni mit elec ( nt heavy industry ) and daikin have sytem 2 non invertor. as i have a service balcony, i can actually have one compressor in the balcony and hang another one outside. need to have 2 power point. hongtar charge me 1730 for mit elect system 2, bracket 120, powerpoint charge abt 200 to 250. is it reasonable ? they mention, using rubber and foam insulation. i dun understand why. can someone enlighten me ?? thank you ....

u can always call nippon or ici to quote for painting services. my old hse is quite small. i bought some paints and ask those brangas to paint for me. cheap cheap. 350 for labour but this time round, bigger house, just the cost of paints for whole house comes up to 800 plus, and their labour is 500 to 600. so in total abt 1.4k. i might as well get the professional ( ici people ) to do it nice nice once and for all. somemore got warranty.... heehee.... my mum neighbour buy own paint but ask labour to paint 4 room flat, labour niah abt 750 wor....

dear bro madcat. we got exactly the same layout ! but mine is at jurong west st 81. third floor. kitchen and both toilet a bit smaller than yours as i got a service balcony. so happy to chance upon yr blog. my prev owner oso knock down the study room wall so i gonna rebuild it again. the pillars in the kids room really a headache, planning to box up so i can better accomodate the furnitures. and yes, i am the 3rd fellow to say i got same same hansgrohe fixture as yours !!! heehee... TOTO and 4D oso not so "zhun" lor i will be getting the keys 17th aug and have to hand over old house in sept so boh bian have to do reno in 7th month. must check good date to "dong tu" and pray pray. i nt the pang dang type but i got baby at home so better play safe. it is so stressfull.... i like yr reno. very clean and bright. esp yr living room and mbr the wall colour. dun mind to share share ? forget to ask you, how is the water pressure when you are using the overhead shower ?

yup. Besglas at IMM. took my floorplan down and they can quote me on the spot. the price is oso reasonable compared to other pole system companies. sales rep: Winter. friendly and fast reply.

just to share my 5 cent worth. bought my 4 month old baby along when we went house hunting. so gum gum, that day, both units have huge altar. first is a hindu house. he got a gigantic altar at home. second is a buddhist home with one room converted into a huge altar. when my son went in both unit. he did nt display any discomfort. but during nighttime, he kept waking up and cry and cry. and it goes on for few days. my mum came over and display some stuff on his baby cot and luckily from then on, peace prevails !

i totally support KDK the latest series V60K.... ( 5 blades ). my mum used to have another brand ( i shall nt mention ) and the biggest speed wind is so pathetic, we practically all have to squeeze underneath the fan to get the slight breeze, even then, nt windy enuf. change to KDK, steady poon pee pee. 7 speed. speed 1 already strong enuf liao... will be getting them all for my new hse... kong tai ( 504@ jurong west st 51 ) selling me $420....

yesterday i went to kong tai ( jurong west st 51 ) to look for my regular sales guy for advise. he told me to get a non inverter base on my usage. ( oni MBR from 8pm to 8am, 2 rooms very seldom on, 1 room oni 5 hrs nightly ). he say inverter is good if u have heavy usage then u can really see the savings, else upfront u already pay 800 to 1000 extra for inverter. saving per month eg is 100, u would need to use 10 years to recoup back and air con for 10 years, quite difficult ya.... he oso recommend mit.... ( nt starmex ) guess i have to scout around for new quotation liao... sigh... aircon companies all seem so " pirate". quite stressful... dun think HDB allow 2 compressor for flats unless new type with a concrete platform for compressor to sit on. unfortunatly, mine cant....

oops! many money leh... was just thinking, is there any diff between servicing done by them and outside aircon companies ? in term of $$ and workscope ? and the 5 yrs servicing hor, is it once a year or twice a year ?

the one i am using now charge per trip ( to and fro ) 280. as my house got no lift and have to climb 4 flight of stairs and walk long cooridoor, they charge me additional 100. FOC 20 boxes. so total 380. i think it is very reasonable and cheap. they will come to yr hse to quote for free. hope it helps
