dear all, my 13 months old baby loves music as in, when he listen to rock or high tempo music, he gets very happy and starts to tap his feets and shake his whole body ( very comical ). i was thinking of bringing him to music or play school where they can use music or songs to let him enjoy and stimulate him... any suggestions?

depends on yr budget oso. my last house, i got very very bad " xi zhao " into my MBR and kitchen window and i m on the highest floor somemore. as the hse come prefit with windows, i din want to waste it by changing, so my window people paste those films on it. as the window pane is brown, after pasting the film, it looks kinda bluish ( quite nice ) can block out the heat and light intensity but hse do looks darker.. maybe u can try those huperoptik or 3M solar film. there is a group buy for huperoptik in forum. go check it out, maybe can get good deals... strength is power

dun think the electrician will do the plastering for you. if it is just very small area niah, maybe u can go hardware shop buy those putty to smooth over those rough patches but must have have good hands to smooth it nicely.. else if u intend to paint house, maybe can " cham siong " with the painter to help u patch for free...

sigh.. problem is, we not getting any hood at all. hubby say no logic cos got inlet to suck in but no outlet to let out ? cooking is mainly stir fried, steam and soup niah. preventive measure: install wall fan for circulation cos kitchen oni got 1 small miserable window niah. cut down on cooking fried food. maybe get a deep fryer. do thorough cleaning after frying session. if all else fails, i go one corner suck thumb liao

hey guys, i really love reading your T-blogs. i cant resist but to add in comments regarding why we buy EAs? for me, it is a practical choice as my parent in law and hubby's brother coming over to stay with us. in addtion, we have 2 teenagers and a toddler. plus a maid. total 9 pax. if we dun get a spacious place, we will drive each other crazy ! ( esp this is first time my PIL staying with us ). will tear down kitchen wall to have open concept and cabinet is glossy white. i can just hear them and relatives and all the kay pohs complaining away.... " later fried fish, the oil, the smell, how ? no door to close and worse, no wall ! ", " aiya, cabinet white colour, mad ah u all, later turn yellow, how ? " , " aiya this, aiya dat.... " to put it crudely, I simply F care. this house belongs to me and hubby and we gonna stay put till we upgrade to old folks home when we are old. work like dogs, spend so much $ ( COV and reno ) and end of day dun have freedon dun have say in our house, cannot indulge in our little pleasures ( eg: rainshower ) and quirks, then might as well kill me. very simple. you wan to do this and dat, ok lor, you fork out $$ lor else keep yr opinions to yrself cos nobody ask for it in the first place. anything pertaining to your own rooms ( my sons and PIL ) you decide but rest of the house, its the breadwinner decision. thank you very much.

hey mafacifa, i took my keys yesterday. handover of old house oso in sept. so time is very crucial for both of us. my hacking will oni commence 23th... boring... more wasted time. will PM you my contact for doors, window, glass... old time fren who had done up my prev houses as well as mum and relatives hse. they are doing for current hse as well... workmanship not bad, prices can discuss. . and they so cute, try to help me save $$ here and there... hahahhaha for me, my painting, grilles/doors and etc, aircon all is i souced myself, not inside my contractor package. i even purchase my tiles on my own. they just charge me for labour. i may sound cheapskate but when yr budget is tight, u really have to work harder to do yr homework and to spend more time to coordinate everything since it is not all under one roof... i did the same for my old house too... tiring but then it is a learning process and lotsa self satisfaction....

oh i see. its actually the additional cost of doing the conceal and patching dat is causing the extras....
