William is confirmed not a relative or friend of mine. I have recommended him to my relatives and friends, and they are all very happy with his work. Please call him at 9150xxxx. Quotes are free! I emphasize that he uses quality cables. 5th year after major renovation. Cheap electrical wires from other electricians starting to melt and burn sockets. Just called him last week for fix. Highly recommended!!! If you use his electrical services, please feedback here.

Recommendation For Reputable And Reasonable Electrician
tinsel replied to renocouple's topic in Plumbing & Electrical Works
Please contact William at 9150xxxx I am a regular customer of his. He is not my relative or friend. His work is good. I have used other electricians who use cheap wires which melt and have to call him to fix. The last fix I contacted him for is just last week. That's when he asked me to help recommend his work if I was satisfied with the rectification (problem caused by a different electrician). When he bring the coils of cables to my house, I already noticed that they are very thick so that they can take a higher electrical current. And his price is very reasonable. SMS or whatsapp him the day before and on that day to remind him of appointment. Many electricians cut costs by using cables meant for electrical appliances. Those cables are NOT meant for wiring. A lot of people like me don't know. But William only uses quality cables. Much safer and less headache. If you use his electrical services, please feedback here. -

one more thing about housekeepers management services. i requested during the booking that they wipe the walls because the previous tenant had 3 pets, and i'm allergic to pet fur and saliva. the cleaners used a rag and ladder, and painstakingly cleaned the wall. if housekeepers management services came with proper cleaning equipment (like mrs sparkles does), they can use the wiper style mop to clean the walls but they only had an ordinary mop (the kind that spreads dirt all around) which they couldn't use on walls so they took a lot of time and effort for that simple job. time and effort that could've and should've been used for other parts of the flat. total lack of professionalism. cleaning company should have proper cleaning equipment!

i know what not to get. don't get samsung. my samsung washer dryer broke down twice in 4 years. even the outsourced samsung technicians who came to fix my washer dryer told me not to buy samsung. they said it looks nice only. the second technician even advised the next time the machine breaks down, just get a new one. don't repair anymore cause it's not worth it cost-wise. the problem is that the samsung washer dryer has no filter. dryers must have a filter to collect lint from clothes otherwise they will overheat and break down fast.

everything stated below is my own opinion. i enagaged housekeepers management services today based on a recommendation in this forum and i really regret it! i paid $500 for regular cleaning of a 3i flat and steam cleaning of the floors. 4 workers 3 hours (i think 3 chinese malaysians and 1 malay singaporean). 3 malaysians arrived at 8.30am, stopped cleaning at about 11.30am, and showered, packed up and left at 12pm. 1 singaporean arrived at 9am and left at 12.30pm with the supervisor. first of all, i will like to state for $500, i expect a level of service much higher than that of a peidu mama. but i got worse than peidu mama standard and am very, very angry. i got them to take down curtains so i don't have to, throw away old cushions and wire meshes. and they did. but anyone can do that. (1) i like hiring professional cleaners because supposedly, they can work without supervision. can you imagine my shock when i saw one of the cleaners wearing her filthy slippers on my countertop to clean the overhead cupboards. not house slippers but her slippers that she wears everywhere outdoors, and boy, they looked filthy! i asked her to take them off since even i wasn't wearing shoes indoors and she said that it's ok, she hasn't wiped the countertop yet and she'd wipe it later?! how am i supposed to prepare food on the surface. every time i look at my countertop, i remember her filthy, filthy slippers on my countertop. i was very angry so i called the cleaning company and told them i'd pay them for the hour then leave unless they send a supervisor to watch and supervise. a lot of excuses and false promises later, and at my strong insistence, they sent the supervisor down. (2) the singaporean cleaner arrived late and had quite a bad attitude. when the supervisor told her to move a mattress from one room to another, she replied ok, you do yourself. she had very poor work ethics and none of the malaysians wanted to work with her. while the 3 malaysians cooperated with each other, they assigned separate jobs for the singaporean. the singaporean's work was slipshod and unfortunately, they made her clean by herself the room i will be sleeping in. i will obviously have to reclean the entire room by myself. with her work ethics, she probably used 1 cloth for everything and all the dirt around which is a real pain for me since the previous tenants had 2 cats and a dog. (3) the superviser is elderly but that doesn't mean the elderly is not necessarily incompetent. however, this supervisor obviously has zero aptitude for his job. the cleaners tell him to go away. no one does what he asks when i relay my requests to him. he doesn't supervise at all. (4) the malaysians were in such a hurry to leave. there were 2 older malaysians who thought they had finished their jobs and gathered the 3rd younger malaysian to leave although there were large puddles all over the kitchen floor. i called the cleaning company to complain and frelia told me it is a little damp from the steam cleaning. bull****. the large puddles were there even before the steam cleaning. steam cleaning doesn't leave large pools of water all over the floor. the supervisor heard me complaining and asked the singaporean to dry up the puddles as they were leaving and she did it very grudgingly. (5) the steam cleaning is a joke! i think the steam cleaner they use for the floor is meant for mattresses. if i'm not wrong, steam cleaners for the floor are supposed to vacuum while the steam loosens the debris but theirs only gives out steam, no suction. they wrapped the head of the steam cleaner with a cloth to protect it i suppose, then held it 1 to 2 ft off the floor. i paid $150 extra for them to steam clean the floor, not steam clean the air! (6) the malaysians decided to punish the singaporean i think. they didn't even check their work, shower, pack up and run off. the singaporean left to steam clean the place herself. she is obviously the least motivated. she steam cleaned the air and my wooden furniture when she supposed to steam clean only the floor. the supervisor would try to drag the wooden furniture out of her way then drag it back by himself. the 3 malaysians have run off and the singaporean refuses to put down the steam cleaner to move furniture away. she'll rather the steam damage my wooden furniture. anyway, the way she was waving it around i think only 30 to 50% of the air over the floor area is covered. 0% of the floor is covered. (7) the place is still dirty as **** after they left. no proper equipment. they used an ordinary mop which doesn't pick up dirt properly. at least use the wiper type? the floor steam cleaning service is absolute rubbish. they left dirty rags from the previous tenant with animal fur on the dish rack. they should rinse it and hang it up right?! (8) i'm not a fussy owner. they asked if they should scrub the kitchen floor. i said it's not necessary, just vacuum, mop and steam clean is ok. but i have to say their standard of work is very, very, very poor. a lot of these companies like to charge premium rates and offer peidu mama standard or even worse. you go for a real professional like mrs sparkles and you have to book 1 to 2 weeks in advance and suit their day and timing. a lot of times, i need asap, cross my fingers and think with the premium rates charged, it should be ok but i receive these infuriating cleaning services that pretend to be professional. i get a whole lot of bull**** excuses (Housekeepers Management Services), downright incompetence (1. Eunike, 2. Housekeepers Management Services, 3. Just Relax, 4. EPS Cleanz / Envipure Solutions) and con jobs (EPS Cleanz / Envipure Solutions). i've used all these companies before. housekeepers management services offered my a $20 discount. hello? you make me so upset, i have to get another company in and you offer me $20 for all my grief! no thanks! i told them i'll kaopeh here and send them the link. everything i say is in my opinion, the absolute truth, and they have nothing but a lot of bull****, inexcusable excuses. they may register an account and post their rebuttal here but you've been warned. excuses like "we cannot control our cleaners, i'm not sure who the cleaners are, my operation manager will take care of this, i will inform the operation manager, wetness on the floor is acceptable and it will dry after a while if you open the windows ((dampness yes but not pools of water!)), we'll inspect when the job is done ((bull****!)), the cleaners wear their shoes indoors in the beginning because the house is dirty ((on my countertop too?!)), you can tell them to reclean ((tell who to reclean?! your cleaners all already ran away))" if you're thinking of hiring 1. Eunike, 2. Housekeepers Management Services, 3. Just Relax, 4. EPS Cleanz / Envipure, just use peidu mama. hardworking and inexpensive. otherwise if you want a real professional, try Mrs Sparkles but you must be prepared to wait for an assigned slot! they are more expensive but you're already paying a few hundred dollars, you should at least get a job done well. when you complain, they say sorry and immediately come back to rectify. i used them several times when i have the luxury of waiting and have no complaints about them because they have always been quick to recover their service. and they've only had to come back once because all other times, the jobs were perfect.

i posted feedback here on a cleaning service i engaged today - http://www.renotalk.com/forum/topic/13692-spring-cleaning-company/?hl=cleaning just so others know, i've also used just relax - http://www.renotalk.com/forum/topic/46940-part-time-cleaning-services-needed/?hl=cleaning and their cleaning service is highly NOT recommended. i pay a premium for cleaning service and expect premium services. if i pay a few hundred dollars and the service level is the same as hiring a freelance woman from china for $10 per hour, i might as well hire the chinese woman and save $300 to $400! i hope the moderator can consolidate the cleaning threads which are all over the forum so that it's easier to find recommendations and read reviews.

mrs sparkles's prices increased. :_( to save $, used just relax twice now. very poor job from just relax. both times got 2-hour cleaning service. cleaners leave half an hour early. i've no problems with that if job is well done. but... o cleaners knocked over things and just left them lying on the floor instead of standing them back up (e.g. vacuum cleaner, umbrellas, broom, mop, etc.) o still dirty! example:i asked them repeatedly and specifically to wipe up 1 bird poop on my door step. but when i came home, they had left and it was still there. o hear instructions but don't follow them! i asked them many times not to clean an area. they said ok. but when i checked on them a few minutes later, they were cleaning the area i specifically told them not to touch! will never use their cleaning service again. not recommended!

this is my 3rd post on mydecalworld. but it's not an advertisement or relative/friend! i've engaged them on at least 4 separate occasions over the past few years. most recent one is earlier this week. usually each time, i will check around for price but their quote is, so far, always the lowest. great service (but replies can take a few days sometimes). detailed mockups. quality decals. so far, i've only done customized decals with them. not sure if they have ready made. email proprietor directly at suenteck at mydecalworld dot com for quotations.

want to add that ikea brimnes bed frame with storage is very unstable. checked reviews online and there is at least one other user with similar experience. i think it was mentioned that if the headboard (optional, extra cost) is purchased and installed, the frame will be more stable but i didn't try so cannot comment.

water travelled through the concrete structure. i think trapped water will find the path/s of least resistance and leak from the lowest point. my relative had a similar problem in his double storied house. his second story bathroom never seal properly. water travelled 5 metres through the concrete under the second storey bedroom and leaked from there. so from the first storey looking up at the ceiling, the leak is coming from below the second storey bedroom and not the second storey bathroom. i was very upset. the leak went on for more than a year. not just bath water but also waste water (i.e. toilet water). ARGH!!!

i used elca for my home flooring too. i chose tarkett vinyl roll, made in sweden. flooring popped up in many areas (like air bubbles) although my floor was flat cement screed. complained several times. each time after they fix existing problem areas, new problem areas arise. during 3rd and final rectification, boss came down with the work crew and sales persons (x2) and supervisor. i think boss noted that installation was poorly done, pointed out problem areas to the workers and asked the workers to fix properly. end result still severely lacking, but much better than after 1st installation. never called them to rectify again. i just wanted workers out and for my family to move in. 3 years down the road, that is now, skirting coming off wall in several areas. there is 1 major eye sore. 1 down step which i repeatedly asked the site supervisor to glue the vinyl sheet down to. the site supervisor repeatedly refused, saying downstep, gravity will pull vinyl sheet down, no need to glue. 3 years later, vinyl sheet still curved. not lying flat vertically against downstep. just to note, i don't think there's any problem with the product. in fact, i'm very satisfied with the product. i'm just very unsatisfied with the poor installation. i think due to poor management from boss, and unmotivated and callous salespersons and site supervisors.

5 years late reply :x anyways. because of nz weather, self-drive is not recommended. roads can be slippery and dangerous if the driver doesn't know how to regain control of his vehicle. within nz, can travel long distances by train or ferry. tours by new zealanders are generally expensive. (i think they are used to getting paid a lot for very little work!) to save $, go free & easy.
