Finally manage to scan this - This was part of my reno contract and the electrical test by SP services (PUB) was arranged by my contractor ... Passed the second time round after rectifications was done after the first testing - more grounding was added to the PLC lightings at the living room. All electrical points was tested pass, including heater pt, aircon 15Amp pt.. SP services Electrical Installation Testing Results

The rest of the living rm is lily white of the ICI shades of white series... think the warm white light plays a part it creating a soothing warm feel ... our kitchen is painted with the same lily white and under white light u can see that its white... btw how's ur reno coming?

Bro This is the ICI all in one, sand castle color color is not too dark... yet it brings out the contrast in the house...

Hee .... we did not do up our windows & windows grill becos when we bought the house back then, we replaced all windows with what you see in my reno pics... all windows + grills were white powder coated and contractor says the condition is still good..... but our contractor did quote us on the windows + windows grill for the very first quotation that he presented us with lor and the price is $6500 for the whole hse if I remembered correctly... Also my windows that I installed 10years back is about 5k+

Zerochristy dun feel sad lah... and sorry I din mean to rub it in lah... just sharing only as I personally feel that electrical works is not as simple as tiling lor ....also I am no reno expert lor .... am sincerely sorry... anyway since u found a good electrician on hand.. do check it with him to see if its necessary for the testing ...

Zerochristy, Yes, ours is our existing flat ... been staying in it for more than 10years liao and we recently then only renovated our house .... and during reno, we re-run, replace, re-install all electrical wiring in our hse ... a major overhaul, when the house is completed, our contractor arranged for PUB testing for electricals in the hse. For ur case, you can go to any licensed electrician, best is those with a registered company, let them know of ur problem and request them to help u arrange for official PUB testing by PUB personnels. This is very important because you do not know what the contractor or electrician has done and you do not know if what that has been installed is up to standard... electrical stuff can be dangerous if there is any leakage anywhere... wifey was around when PUB came the first time for our testing after our reno was completed lor.... she says its very intensive testing carried out by PUB, switched off every devices in our hse, they remove all plugs from sockets, open up the main DB box and tests all sockets + lighting switches and a few lighting points using meters. They also open up sockets and switches that they find issues with... for us, our testing failed the first time because of grounding points and they informed my contractor on the issues and then arranged with contractor another date for the testing to be carried out again... contractor rectified the issue and pub eventually conducted a re-test (they go thru another round of intesive test) at our hse and they issued us a test certificate.... will take a pic of the cert to show u...

Hi Zerochristy, Did PUB come and do electrical testing for your hse? Just to share.. We encountered a similar circuit tripping once after all lights was installed and it was before we shifted in, for no reason that particular night the main DB box tripped many times... that was before our contractor arranged PUB testing was carried out. When PUB finally came and do the testing after we shifted in, the pub personnel faulted issues at the PLC lights - according to the pub report, some of the grounding points for the lights were clamped between the false ceiling and the metal structure... and they say this might causes some intermittent circuit breakers tripping... our lighting electrician eventually came and rectify the issue and pub was here to do the testing one more time to certify everything good... additional grounding points was added by the electrician... Our reno contractual quote included the PUB electrical testing portion which is abt 200 bucks... do check if ur contract includes this item... cos some of the reno quotes we received the last time while looking for a suitable id/contractor does not include pub testing lor...

Bro, Inverter aircon will be good if all the split units at more then 1 rm are on, you will see a substantial savings at ur utilities bill... mine's a panasonic inverter system 3... and my utitlies bill averages between 125-155 bucks... panasonic, mitsi, daikin all are quite good and reliable brands...

Yup yup .. also recommended another forumner BangBang middle curtians too... we deal with grace, janice's sister lor... for that price, they are willing to come all the way out from jb, see ur hse design and colours and then recommend u base on the colour scheme and take ur measurements and do the sewing and then bring the end product out from JB to u without any additonal taxes + setting up the railings and putting up everything... we got no complains lah... hey his (bangbang) hse is also pretty well done up by his ID mr Yeak... so maybe u can gather his id contact too... reno thingy is like tat - u gather more good id contacts so tat u have a spread of choice rite? hee hee
