  1. i'm also looking for cool fridges as well. Apart from the obvious Smegs, the Bosch does come in very close. Wonder if there are any other labels around.
  2. I was just there yesterday and can attest that Winny's service is impeccable. Great range as well.
  3. Hi Samgalz, just realised that you had replied to my question. Thank you. I will certainly check him out!
  4. Yeah I'm looking into Ikea Kitchen systems as well. I do wonder about the quality as well though. And yes i suspect they come up to be more expensive than the contractors! Dang!
  5. Hello there, I was also considering Ikea kitchen systems as opposed to carpentry works from the contractors. Simply because I love some of the design elements. Any thoughts on this? Many have advised me against it because of the sub-par materials they use. But from my understanding, they use different materials from their other ranges! I would appreciate any advice from anyone!!! Thank you!!!
  6. Heya, thanks for the warm welcome guys. Will post more stuff later!
  7. Hello everyone, been lurking here for few months now and been benefitting from everyone's collective wisdom and experience. For that, I would like to thank everyone for sharing your stories and being so generous with new found knowledge. Now its time for me to give back in whatever little way I can as well. I also wanted to share my little journey too. Especially for those who are not HDB dwellers as there are peculiar problems that private home owners have that might not be as common. Anyways, I now have an old 30 plus year old walk-up apt/ shophouse at Joo Chiat. I suppose I really wanted size and was drawn to the area as well. Believing in its potential to be an arts enclave and being a place that has a lot of personality and life. Spent a few months researching and deciding whether to go with a contractor or ID and in the end I decided on an ID to manage the project. More because I needed someone to look after the whole project due to my inexperience and irregular working hours than because I needed the design expertise. Personally, I feel that their prices are very competitive and the service good... at least so far.http://www.renotalk.com/forum/style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif We've just completed the first phase of hacking within a week and we are now moving on to phase two. I've started a little blog to chronicle the journey and would like to share it with everyone here! I look forward to hearing comments - positive and negative! Excelsior!
