  1. 2ft or 61cm deep (external) is the standard if I rem correctly..
  2. Fridge depend on the litre also of cos 3 ticks is more expensive but u save energy cost in long run.. for aircon inverter and non inverter 2 ticks cost about 1k+ different but if u are those type that use aircon every nite... think by 1 year u break even liao... for BTU easier calculation is Room Size x (Number) can refer here http://www3.ntu.edu.sg/estate/service/ac.html think in singapore most use 650 as the factor number...an other factor is the distance of the room from the compressor (as the pipe is longer, more temp are gain before reaching the room) if u visit hong tar they will calculate for u using ur floor plan. I got a 9k BTU for my 13sqm room, 12k BTU for my 19sqm MBR and 12K BTU for my 13sqm furthest room
  3. I got used to decide my fridge (3 ticks) and aircon (4 ticks) very good website give u the estimate savings if u used different system or brand. Aircon give u the cooling capacity too.. at 1st want to buy SCM60ZG-S but the BTU is little not enuff for 3 room
  4. my friend mention a properly seal up windows will help to reduce the noise level.. of cos when u close ur windows u usually need to turn on ur aircon. Going to try diy these sealing of windows soon.. my new home is just 50m away from the mrt track and cross junction :x
  5. no no it will be lucky if the valuation is above the agree price for my case so I dun have to pay COV and my agree price is cheaper than valuation but still lucky 4k COV only By the way the 1st deposit when the seller signed th OTP need not to be 1k.... but 1k should be the max. Usually both agent will push for high deposit cos scare u give up later
  6. actually is a risk that u want to consider taking lor Agree price and then do valuation report. I did during August. Heng the valuation came out only 4K below our agree price if valuation report to high u have to let go ur $1k but u can keep the valuation report if not sell back to the owner lor.
  7. tats really cheap esp for AC5 12mm. ur job completed? I went directly even to their office and warehouse but they quote me 1900 ~ 2700 (AC3 ~ AC5) havent include GST. End up i find inovar AC3 who charge me $1600 (GST included) but must pay for hacking skirting.
  8. when u get the quote one so cheap? I was quote from a range of 1900 ~ 2700 for 500sf Supreme like 2wks back AC5 at 3.60psf is cheap even after adding GST. Note u need to factor in hacking of skirting if there is skirting.
  9. demand for compensation if not then u got the right to sue them. IMO Once OTP signed the seller is at lossing end one..
  10. http://www.furnitureonline.sg/furniture/pr....asp?protype=51 try those neighbourhood shop also for similar design but should be at a cheaper rate... maybe close to 100 per chair for leather..
  11. Usually power trip u on back the switch can liao? or u must unplug all plugs before u can turn on? might be due to some of the appliances u are using now. Last time my house also always trip and we found that is a mini fridge giving the problem.
  12. get those Masonry drill the plastic thing should be call wall anchor or something.. go home fix they will advise you
  13. hur?? ur quote should include installation rite.. Hong Tar should be the prefer for most of them (i just purchase my unit from them 2 days back) http://www.hongtar.com.sg/ visit below link to know all about aircon http://singapore-aircon-materials.blogspot.com/
  14. Hong Tar quote is about $2, 630 about 1-2wks back(Power point or bracket not included) 1/2" and grade 23 copper pipping are actually standard one ur id price not so bad..but i will rather ask some aircon specialist to install , trust their workmanship and any problem can find them straight.

  16. http://8.mediacorptv.sg/programmesdetail.a...&kw=VARIETY same website rdnest posted.. but no detail.. if u interested in diy the laminate flooring. ikea pricing is $25.60/m2 cheapest one 13.50/m2

  19. Well i must say after by furniture hunting for the last few weeks.. I havent gotten anything from IKEA now.. their price is not cheap lor... GO showroom see actual display....then go neighbourhood furniture shop buy from catalog... if you staying near Jurong area can pm me for the shop i bought... all my furniture (see my siggy) from there one... N*V* display a TV console $999 (promotion price before GST).. I got the exact same tv console for $660 but i got to agree ikea is nice place to get smaller items.. I intend to get a Table, Rug , Blinds and maybe some lightings there.
  20. tat wats i was told when i call in to the main office (Last time is jurong west office number), they only accept payment by chq, cash & credit card (subject to 3% extra charges)
  21. Hong Tar quote me $2630 (was told using the better grade of insulators) actually i think Mitsubishi heavy should come with the standard piping.. but some salesman will use the tactic that you need to upgrade $180 for better pipping.. (so the so call best grade copper and insulators are actually the normal package liao just tat they replace you with cheaper one..) Btw hong tar installment plan need to add 4% very good read up here.. http://singapore-aircon-materials.blogspot.com/
  22. quote i got is the same lor from maximum credit co. (hong liang) with 5 years warranty
