For myself : i guess i met the right people in my late 20s - a financial advisor that taught me how to save and invest for the future. Each individual has its own preferences for their own lifestyle. As for pay package, there will be always be inequality, thus compare the "why" is useless. Probably job-hopping is the way to go.

Everyone talks about who is my gui ren, or how to make your life plain-smooth sailing. I realised it can happen on this occasion which i experienced. As usual, i went to temple to pray, and ask for Gui Ren or smooth sailing in my life. Then i go buy duck rice for my family dinner and realised that the bus stop is 10 minutes walk. From the stall, i take my own sweet time to walk to bus stop (thinking and worry about missing the bus) That bus stop only have ONE bus number to my place (come every 15 min). Wah very smooth -sailing when i reach the bus stop, the bus comes JUST IN TIME for me to board. The bus will do a loop to my place which is quite a distance. So i alight and need to take another bus. Wah again, the next bus just comes behind for me to hop in and again JUST IN TIME. So many "just in time" and i reach home without waiting time on these buses ! Now i appreciate the smooth-sailing part for that moment. And i realised the gui ren is the bus driver who helps me along the way ! If you are managing subordinates, your subordinates are your gui ren as well. So appreciate them than scold them to get things done. If they leave , you have to recruit another gui ren to do the work for you. If your company stop recruitment, you are the one suffer ! So gui ren is not really meant to be some RICH person to boost you up, but more of solving daily problems for you.

Hi Roblon I would catagorise the type of fengshui masters u wish to work with. a) middle-income type - usually professionals or salaried workers paid about $800-1600 for fs master service b) lower-income type - usually for people who do not wish to pay more eg less than $400. c) Ultra-rich businessmen - if you want to know those Ultra-rich businessmen fengshui master, i am sure forum members can quote fs master price.

coffee table - i don't get fanciful ones or if possible, remove it. I feel it is an extra item in the living room taking up space. What i did was to put a platic ikea table for children to do things. I can remove the ikea platic table immediately anytime or throw away if i deem fit.

i thought it is common to put baby photos when one spouse is pregant ? I don't put photos on master bed room. I just smell her and then go to sleep. Nothing fanciful in master bed room.

i am no expert in leather product. I bought full leather sofa (3+2) from castila few years back for 7k and it has no problems till now. My kids like to jump on it and still got no problems. Only each year, i pay specialist cleaner to clean up for about $250 removing stains. However their advice is to clean sofa for about 2-3 times per year which i may consider getting a package. Whenever i've guests to my place (including children), they sit on it and refuse to move out of the sofa which is highly comfortable. BTW if there are pen-marks, etc on leather, it CANNOT be removed (except red-o color - i've not tried it yet). If it can be removed, then it is not leather. Anyway, i read these threads and surprised leather products cost less than 3k, etc. Perhaps i wish to point out that leather goods cannot be that cheap. My style is : get a reliable or premium retailer and pay for it and use it for at least 10 years.
