yea... we are corner unit 3rd floor. so far when i am ard during the day and night time ard 9pm, the whole neighbourhood very quiet. downstairs is carpark only. only a small road that lead from main road to my estate. i guess my estate is generally low populated area. and there is isn't any coffee shop or shops houses within 1km proximity. that explains why the workers poo and pee at my bathrooms all the time. but i guess low floor will always have noise from those horny cats ard hdb void decks. unavoidable bah... u also low floor?

the laminate flooring... the last panel to the wall is not parallel. run s gradually from big to small... Newly erected wall Opposite window wall both ends were not straight as can see from the laminate panels...

Today i found out that one of my common room wall is slanted terribly. only realised this after the laminate flooring was done. worse thing is the that the slanted wall is a newly erected wall.! id still said it's my house slant. wth... i am speechless la...

Week 6 Window grilles done up. 2 thumbs up for Alex and team. Did a great job. My wife like the white horizontal grilles a lot. doesn't look jail feeling to us. heng... He even helped me to patch up the scratches on the WPC windows cased by the stupid ID's workers. Thanks! Yet again, ID's promise was an empty one. Laminate flooring still left skirting undone. Last week he said he will chiong Monday and Tuesday to complete the flooring which suppose to be done in week 5. Tmr is Thursday already. Called him. He said tmr no workers. Friday will finish. he keeps playing such delaying games... it's so hard for me to plan my leave to visit the jobsite. tulan told him the kitchen entrance still unresolved. he said install glass door first. gap will be rectified in later stage. steady lor.. everything push to later later... my last payment also later liao...

i show my wife first. she will be the one using and refilling it. haha.. if she ok, i dun mind group buy. but prob i will just drive down to buy it off the shelf next weekend if i got the time.

I found the cheapest source for bi-fld door. Tech Guan (Mr Choo) - $150 per set (bottom track one) I am still looking for Shower Screen set. He quoted $420. looks good, but i believe there is below $400 one out there... =)

waa... marshmallow, u always have the same answer as my id!! hahaha.. he said mine is polished glossy homo tiles. tt's why cannot use chemcial wash. only general wash for living room and bedrooms with laminate flooring. as for the kitchen door, i will ask Mr Choo come down and measure again see if he is ok with that 5 to 7mm gap. 2 more weeks to handover. but how come i still dun feel it... my place still a big mess all over. packet drinks from last week are still lying ard. carpentry measured, but yet to install. lighting, wc, sinks all not done yet. siao liao...

Earlier glass man told me that kitchen entrance measurement not accurate. bottom opening is 1/2 inches (10mm to 12mm) more than top opening. He said not accurate, glass door will have visible line gap at the lower portion than the upper portion. ID said he will recitify it. I re-measure it again, still different of 5mm to 8mm. I hope this can be acceptable. why so suay... got such problem... haizzzz i am using an older picture (2 weeks ago) to illustrate the measurement.

Kitchen Entrance today glass company (Teck Guan, Mr Choo) came down to measure my kitchen glass swing door. He called me and gave me a shocking news! Mr Choo: "Why your kitchen door opening not straight one? You asked cheap contractors to do ah? The top opening is more than 1/2 inches wide than the bottom openning. If i install the glass door, u will see bigger gap along the upper glass door than the lower side. very ugly one." Although i didn't see it for myself, i roughly know what he meant. Called up my id again to inform him about this. ID: "It's NORMAL for HDB wall. Because kitchen floor is slanted due to water level, and wall structure is not levelled......." Me: "Waiit!! But this kitchen wall is newly built up by ur worker using hollow blocks. The uneveness should be accounted for when u guys build the wall mah." HDB floor slanted, ur wall must also slant meh? arghz... Anyway, i am glad that he has asked his worker to rectify it now. Tmr will be resolved... hopefully...

Week 6 Haiz.. saw few things that bothered me when i went down to see the progress earlier. Painting I saw my supposed ICI Emulsion paint were actually from metal tins that don't carry any ICI logo or name or brand. WTH? Are they using pirated paint that just simply matched my ICI colour codes? I called my ID (Eric) for explanation. He said they were indeed ICI paint. Just that the painter company will normally purchase paint in big bulk. Then they will pour the selected colours into smaller metal tins to client's job site. he continued to add that it's very NORMAL for renovation to mix paint with water. Because if painter use pure paint only, it will be too thick. So? Thick thick la? Wadever it is, what can i do? Ask him for proof? Re-paint everything? This will only delay my hand-over date. L L suck thumb... Masterbed room half height false wall at bed head I topped up $180 for a half height partition false wall to be used as my bed head as my bed frame doesn't have head board. Secondly, the above ceiling has a beam and i am superstitious that it's no good to sleep under the beam. i EXPLAINED that to the id that i want a false wall as thick as the beam (about 8 inches). Today i saw the false wall. WTH? it's only 4 inches. I called him to explain. His response: "Waaa? You never tell me earlier? Anyway, NORMAL partition wall is 4 inches only. if you want 8 inches, have to top up another $120..." Although $120 is ok, but i felt cheated because i TOLD him i want a partition wall to be as thick as the beam of 8 inches! We don't see people selling right shoe, then ask u top up for left shoe right? If at the start he told me that the total false wall is $300, i may give a consideration whether to proceed or not. Now i stuck in a situation that i have to top-up. Rubbish and urine/poo smell I have complained to him abt the rubbish at my place 4 times (almost every week). Workers just threw their cigarette butts, can drinks and rubbish all over the living room. Why CANNOT just consolidate all rubbish at one corner and put them into thrash bag? WTH. Both bathrooms are abused the most. Strong stints of urine and poo are there no matter how many times i spray the air freshener. Last Sat after the chemical wash, everything was fine. But today they abused them again. The smell was back! these barbarians simply dun know how to respect people house. ID's favourite excuse is that this is very NORMAL for all renovation to experience these nature calls problem. WTH, my twin brother is currently doing renovation the same time as me and i DON'T see /smell any rubbish or urine /poo every time when i visit his place. I am really super tired to complain things to him every 2 to 3 nights. I really don't enjoy calling him to complain at all. Additionally, i need to manage my own busy work and a new born at home. Hope all this will end soon. Carpentry yet to start. I foresee h.e.L.L. awaits me.

Week 5 (weekend work) painter indeed came down today to start the painting of base coat and some minor cement patching over holes and nail scars. id said painting work will be completed by tmr sunday, so that my pergo laminate flooring can be done on monday. follow by lighting points, 2nd stage plumbing work and carpentry.
