Hi all, my pamasonic inverter Aircon (all 3 units) installed by imperial (Aron & Sam) in dec-2010 was also down due to poor wiring used. From our similar experiences, I strongly believe that imperial is intentionally using poor grade wiring for its customers, so that we will encounter this problem and return to them for rectification. Disgusting business ethics. Please circulate to boycott this company.

my mistake too when i thought white is dull... in fact, white is lasting and pretty. dark cabinet makes the whole kitchen dark and sleepy. given a chance, i will choose white cabinet, solid top and light grey tiles.

hi, sorry for the late response. 1) item G is door frames which were FOC. item J are windows work, which i eventually didnt take up from my ID. i self-sourced Alex instead. 2) i re-looked at my quote, i didnt see any item 4 and 5. 3) no need to pay $$$ ask them test. you can put up your TV to test urself. if not working, tell your electrian to fix it immediatley. 4) that shower rack at MBR was $400. happy CNY

sry for the late response. my laminate flooring is pergo family series. the code is Chocolate. Small water puddles are fine and wont seep in. but if "ponding" types, i not too sure because it has never happen before. hahaha... no, i didnt install any sound dampener. i did notice the work laid a piece of white foam sheet on the floor before laying the laminates on top. so far no hollow sound. i think these r minor things which you will overlook and become "invisible" when you move in and stay after couple months. =) as for the headboard, i paid $300 only. because my ID already closed my account when i wanted to add this item. so i dealed directly with carpenter who quoted me their factory price. but this is one-off exception i guess, as my ID wont allow me to have his carpenter number for my own future use again. -grin-

hi pinklicious, sorry to hear about ur hiccup. from the way i see it, it could be just a small mis-communication here. fyi, most IDs only give 3D drawing when you confirm with them. reason being 3d drawing costs $$$. for most IDs, they get freelance to do the 3d drawing, therefore per piece is chargeable. i think 1 or 2 changes to the initial 3d drawings are reasonable for customers. like my case, i didnt like the design of the tv console and feature wall my id gave me. instead of asking him to redraw a new one, i just show him a picture from a magazine and tell him to copy. this way will save time. my experience with my ID on the carpentry charges is that depending on the design, the cost may varies. this is because some designs require additional material, hinge, glass or etc. besides that, i think my ID gave me a relatively low rate for per ft run, that's why he could not throw in my initial requested items like black mirror and etc. hehehe. however, if your ID already quoted you a high rate like $230+/ft (based on my time; not sure about the current rate now) and still asking for top-up, then you may want to negotiate with him further to work on the cost. dun worry too much. such hiccups r normal. good luck!

yooo! congrats in getting your house! your layout is nice. in general, people have the thinking that contractors' pricing is cheaper than IDs'. But during my reno sourcing days, there are couple of contractors who priced almost like IDs. My conclusion is that: pricing does not soley depend if he is a contractor, or an ID. For my case, my ID quoted me the lowest among all 20+ quotations that i have received. These include popular contractors like Vincent (Ideas4Room) and etc... Due to low budget, i went beyond just engaging a single ID to cover all my reno tasks. Refer to my sign-off. I direct source for big ticekt items like air-con, windows, glass work, electrical work, and etc... The coordination is tiring from my end, but my ID did help me even though he doesnt need to. heng lor..
