wah, taht's terrible! Can't she pay off there and then?? anyway, hope you don't have to wait long for the next appt -
so how much does it cost? sounds really useful

hey, we had a similar experience too. Had in mind one brand, after comparing GAB, Everjoint and Mega, decided to go to Mega for our electrical stuff. At the shop, the salesman talk and talk, and gave us the "why you choose xx brand - not good one", and a thousand reasons to support the claim, and finally we changed our minds accordingly, and as you said, prices all increased.

I thought there is an alarm system where it is hooked directly to the police station? ie when house is broken into, police will automatically be notified?
-
wow, you must be feeling xxxx good to smash on the "old" new house! Congrats!

Hi reuben I bought the hyflux undermount system, but sorry no review yet as it's not been installed. But I tasted the water at the showroom, pass our taste bud tests. You can see the pix in #532 in my blog. sorry ah, lazy to find attachment. as for undermount, I did not know got so many "cannot do"? That's worrying, bc I'm also doing undermount! But my contractor did say that for undermount, best to mount the mixer on the sink itself, rather than on worktop. Dunno true or not?

very funny to read this .. bc i also remember the opposite happen when i was packing up to move ... put things away, planning to throw, then decide to keep in boxes again ... then out because think not really going to use, ... then in again bc so sayang to throw .. so will have to see the final showdown when we finally move in!

wow, reno of such a big place only took one month? that's really fast!
-
actually I was not thinking just now, but you could ask yr contractor's plumber to do it? Maybe don't need to pay for installation?

journey of marble (Part 2) unloading - this is even more hard work complete and now, I can't wait for work to start next week!
-
Thur, 5 Aug 2010 So many days no action, because of the discrepancy in billing and hence no delivery of marble as scheduled. So towards the end of last week, we were so happy to be able to secure a new order, and today, we are super excited - esp my hubby - for we are one step closer to his dream "marble" home! Here's the journey of the marble tiles to our home ... marble has arrived! uncle plying open the pellet with crowbar - believe it or not - he is 72! loading and pushing the marble, bit by bit - this is really hard work!

really? which shop did you call? There is a shop at River Valley that carries Hyflux along with a few other brands, but they do not include installation. But this one at harbour front - all inclusive. Hmm .. unless that was during the GSS?
-

-
hi pink it;s $579, yup undermount, with installation. showroom at harbour front 3rd floor. they have another similar model with the same filtration system, but which can house a bigger capacity filter , but out of stocks at the moment.

how come last minute postpone? by the seller? -
he he ... women power .. don't play play!

ha ha ... think every house design has its + and -. For resale, can see the flat physically before buying. But for new flats, purchase is based purely on floor plan only, so sometimes a bit hard to visualise. Anyway for some people like myself, also no choice, bc second timer, so got left over just grab liao! Before this successful application, dunno invested how many $10 to ballot already!
-
hi hi will be looking forward to it. where is yr new place?
-
actually was reading in another blog - one option is to retain the swing door, but swing outwards - in this case no worry about space constraints
-
some more some more - so many exposed beams outside the flats, easily "trap" rubbish - some weeks back, spotted a plastic bag in one of these beams, presumably rubbish thrown by the upper floor people - imagine walking underneath, and that bag drop, sure kenna "big strike"! Also notice for blk A and D need to go round and round to from house to carpark - dunno why?
-
hi pink yr house is so spacious! what is the paint colour of the mbr? The bed colour is cool too - different from the usual black, brown, beige!
-
good ah? floor layout more headache than anything. Actually I'm not complaining about its size, afterall, it's 4room @ 90sqm. But there are alot of design flaws that makes planning very difficult and space wastage for what is already limited, for eg, door entrance "wrongly" positioned (otherwise can have another row of kitchen cabinets), ledge window also wrongly positioned (otherwise can have good use of space for wardrobe), ridiculous toilet door type/position/layout. And the cloths rack ah .. aiyoh, I thought of removing it, would prefer it ceiling mounted - now it's the middle of nowhere - once pull out to use, cannot walk into service yard liao. I think the architect just blindly build one, after all, they not staying in flat so they do not understand what is making full use of space! sorry, just ranting .. bc I thought that after decades of building houses, design would have become better, but no lei
