  5. then how do you hide the wiring behind the TV? unless tv sits on the console?
  6. Yup, agree - very interesting and educational blog. Have been reading RT for the last few months, but only ventured into reading more blogs recently. This one got contractor and owner together, will definitely visit everyday for updates! keep it going!
  7. looking at the fujioh brochure now - 800mm between base of hood to top of hob. Agree with home-maker, follow the manufacturer's instructions is the best
  8. hi can I ask why induction cooker no need hood ah? I thought hood is to suck oil and fume from cooking, regardless of stove? Unless induction cooker cannot do "oily" kind of cooking? still alot to learn for me
  9. Hi Samgalz sorry intruding into the blog me the same too, from EA to 4room, going to collect my keys to fernvale late June (I hope!)
  10. hi what is uplights? very blur about lighting issues
  11. sorry, so engrossed looking at pix of your purchases that I missed your earlier post. Lightings from Lighting.com right? Paiseh ...
  12. hi 15may wow, looks like a very fruitful day for you! Looks like the house furnishing is almost complete already! i like the baby room light, can share where you get it from?
  13. Hey actually mine is a somewhat similar predicament, though I am the seller. The buyer wants to come in early before second appt, and stupid agent did not advise us to add rental that we will be paying to the sale price, so now we have to move out early so that the buyer don't need to incur rental, but we do! And now I worry that if buyer comes in before second appt and somehow decides that he does not want the place, how? Because at that time, resale transaction not complete yet right?
  14. Hi El Nino you got a brandt 867 too? That's the model I was eyeing, but still thinking hard. Now thinking even harder because trying to justify if it's better to get a free standing oven/cooker, for that extra oven capacity
  15. oh, didn't know hoe kee has them? Are they on display at the sims ave branch? Tried to call but engaged all the time
  16. hi England can you tell me what is a gypsum board? Is it hard and suitable for use for kitchen?
  17. hmm .. mind if I ask how much you paid for it? Is this the one whose showroom is at Shaw Centre?
  18. Hi Duckie went down to mayer today, and saw the 2 Ariston models. Must say that I really fell in love with the full stainless steel one with the bigger oven capacity, but the price tag is hard to swallow! Since at IMM, also popped into Best Denki. But too bad they only have catalogue of Elba models, price 1k or more lower than the Ariston ones. Will visit the showroom at Jurong Industrial area sometime this week to compare. Did you do the comparison between Ariston and Elba before you did your purchase?
  19. Hi since this thread is on oven, think maybe I should post here as well? I was considering the possibility of a free standing oven/stove - the kind where the oven is below and stove on top? Anyone has experience or heard review about this kinds of oven/stove? In another thread, learnt that Ariston has 2 models, went down to Mayer today, and fell in love with the Ariston stainless steel model, but it's tagged at close to 3.5k! I always see this in western style kitchens, but seems that they are not as popular here, wonder why? Before I went down to Mayer, I thought this type is suited only for pan-style cooking, but the salesman at Mayer said they have wok stands to go with them, so Asian cooking is also workable with this stove. Anyone has reviews on this? Thanks!
  20. hi Grace you tried your pyrolytic baby? I am thinking hard whether to get the brandt pyro model - very ex but so tempting!
  21. hi 15may i like the shoe cabinet! just curious - why you put aircon on top of tv feature wall? i visited a few units at fernvale, they put aircon on the beam between the 2 halls. My feeling is if aircon is on feature wall - * break the feature wall look * in case leak, tv will be wet, or worse short curcuit on the other hand, advantage of aircon being in the middle * no worries about the above * both halls can share the aircon just my 2cents
  22. Hi after lesson learnt on xxxxtech for aircon, thought I better search the forum before I commit to another purchase. Have anyone bought sofa set from Seagull Funriture Corporation at IMM? Saw a fabric sofa which is really comfy, but the saleslady's service was not particularly good, hence not sure if I should commit to it. any feedback on this company? thank you!
  23. hey duckie thanks for the lead. Can I kaypoh and ask why you had chosen this kind over the the more popular choice of stove and built-in-cabinet oven? Is the ariston stove ok for wok cookng? thanks so much!
  24. Hi Grace very long no update from you already?
  25. Hi saw this kind of free standing oven/stove (stove on top, oven below) in the ariston catalogue, but find that it's not popular nor commonly found here. Does anyone use this? Any reviews? Always see this in kitchen designs from australia or the west, and wonder why not here? And where can I find them, please? thanks
