  5. ya, that is true - getting the right colour combi else will be weird, but i think black console will never fail lah. thanks!
  6. when i read the form, it seems to imply that the seller is liable, because the seller "authorise" the company, and sign at the end. Very funny form. http://www.hdb.gov.sg/isoa072p.nsf/13e5455...nity%20Form.pdf (3) I/We (the existing owners) confirm that I/we have authorised _________________________________ [Company’s Name of HDB RRC / RRC’s Registration Number] to apply for the renovation permit on my/our behalf. _______________________________ Name / Signature of Existing Owner (s) Is there any black and white about liabilities of each party? Searched the HDB site but can't find any useful info. Very scared of all this, HDB has given me enough wrong info and advice leading to my current predicament. Yet all advice had been verbal, so accusations has no ground. Now hope everything is black and white liao
  7. Hi need some advice here. if buyer of flat wants to move in early to start reno, the seller has to sign indemnity form. Should anything happen during the reno, will the seller be liable at all?
  8. Hi Bepgof thanks for your very detailed explanation on how the FW and console works. From your description, got to cut a hole on console where FW is sitting to allow the wires to pass through. This sounds difficult for those ready-made ones. Maybe I should just buy a console and forget about wall mounting. Is Baroque the one opposite the CC? If I remember correctly, there are quite a few ID firms in that stretch.
  9. ya lah, lucky the layout allows me to extend. But this only looks good on paper, still need to do actual site measurement before confirming if it is workable. Hope it will not be too crampy
  10. hi thanks joseeng how's your reno coming along? HO soon?
  11. hi Sff thanks! will try again if i need to show more pix. Off hand I did remember there is the img thing, but was prompted an error message. After I deleted that, can attach but came out as a link. Anyway let me try again ...

  13. me too, hunting for a fabric sofa, but budget lower than yours, think at most 1.5k. Stumbled upon 2 models of 3-seater at Lorenzo, find them quite comfy. Problem is colour is limited. You might want to pop by for a look. Also saw some very stylish ones at OM at IMM, i think they are around yr budget.
  14. but i find that baskets kill alot of internal space, as compareed with pull out drawers. Actually the casement door type cabinet is the best for storage, but difficult to reach the inside things, esp when we become old , all pros and cons
  15. Hi anyone taken loan from OCBC? I applied one week already still no reply? Is that the norm?
  16. This reminds me - i actually went down to serangoon central some time back in search of Hommage, but cannot find the shop. Have they moved? Can anyone update the address please? thanks!

  19. Hi Bepgof very nicely done! does the feature wall base sit on the tv console? I am still trying to figure if make feature wall but buy console, how does the two fit together? And how does wire run from behind feature wall to console, and vice versa? I like your 2bar grille. Where did you get that contact from? thanks!

  21. Hi Simon thanks. let me try again, this time a rough sketch of space planning - kitchen is very very small, so plan to extend out into foyer, but will eat into dining area. Sian - some place just have to sacrifice http://s867.photobucket.com/albums/ab240/f...rent=img566.jpg
  22. can check how to attach pictures that pop out straight away, without a need to click the link?
  23. Hi all After almost half a year diligently doing homework and research here in RT, and much procrastination, finally managed to kick myself to get this started now! To start with, here's the floor plan .. http://s867.photobucket.com/albums/ab240/f...rent=img564.jpg
  24. hi can check afew things 1. tap hole - the shop punch, and not our contractor? Does this mean we must buy the tap and sink from the same shop? Or is the size of tap hole standard across brandds? 2. fan - again is installation of fan done by shop or our contractor? My friend said that since ceiling fan is installed by shop, then contractor may not be able to handle all models, hence better to buy in singapore. Is this true or not? I thought ceiling fan installation are all the same, and if you buy KDK, it's the same whether you get in Singapore or JB, as long as same model?
  25. hi frezhman can see that you are a very "media" and "gaming" person! i like the rain shower - do you have to remove those installed by HDB? Or you incorporate the rain shower into the exisitng?
