looking forward to more pix, Grace. and no, not found any aircon yet. Thinking of approaching the contact from forceguy or use Edmund's friend doing aircon. Advantage of using his friend is for better coordination for him, so hopefully they can work out the trunking nicely

ya lor, that's why i want to convince hubby to go for cheaper tv, but prob is, he can see the differnce . ha ha infact, he is even thinkng of the 3D LED - aiyo, so tiring for the eyes!
-
yr sofa is very nice, and looks comfy too. which shop from woodlands did you get this from? can share the price?
-
10 aug - for me sure cannot make it in time one. sian, got to rent another month
-
ha ha, me too. still using those fat bulky type jsut now at harvey, the salesman was telling us about the motion plus vs wihtout, and the 50vs 100 hz. He asked us to focus and see the 50hz one picture is jerky - regardless of how i look - i just can't see any difference. looks like my eyes not trained for this kind of high tech things
-
actually my personal preference is fabric sofa - more comfortable. only problem is if drinks spill etc, stain wil be there, esp those that cannot remove cover to wash type
-
treat me "lim kopi" ah if you get price match
-
i saw at harvey millenia. check sat's ST ad

sun, 27/6/2010 more shopping today, but nothing firmed up was a mega discount yesterday and was happy with their service, esp their price matching policy. Almost wanted to confirm, but thought maybe should visit a few more electronic shops today to compare price first stop to harvey norman at millenia. Had been to this HN for at least 5 times since I started researching on appliances. Their 46" LED is $300 lower than mega, seems like no gimmicks. Was going to call mega to tell them about the difference and see if they can match. went over to the kitchen appliances section at harvey. Realised that electrolux has a new pyro oven (35000) with basic functions at $1599, made in german. Also discovered a 66litre australian-made electrolux with similar features as the one i am eyeing on, and the same price too! Wah - I am so at a lost! Hubby thinks australian made is ok, since it's german technology - but if that's the case, then all those china made should also be ok right? Why shun china-made products? After that, we decided to give our brains a break, and headed to cedele for a yummy break! Wow, I just love their bread, can eat plain man! Flip through the papers and saw Audio House's ad - wow so attractive - if use DBS card, can get $800 cash rebate! Definitely must see right? Imagine our disgust when we understand the gimmicks - must spend another 16k within the year to qualify for the rebate?!?!? And we stood there for so long - no one came to serve us, like look us down leh! so that's it, no more audio house from now - always have alot of hidden agenda within their ads, unlike mega or harvey who are more transparent (I hope!) Tomorrow must really make it a point to finalse the marble, becasue need to make appt for dry lay etc - keys should be collecting within next week already!

this tv suppose to auto-adjust brightness according to environment,is it?
-
sorry, banned we were in the sentosa area, and just walk walk see see. not really prepared to buy yet, so did not get any contacts. actually we are still debating if we should get from jb, not because of quality or anything like that, but more so if anything defective etc, not sure if troublesome to exchange etc, so we were a bit half hearted

hi pinktini do you mean can get uninova sofa from hommage? Is it cheaper than gettng direct? We also like uninova, but $$ for full leather not cheap. Today saw a cheaper full leather one at lorenzo but design not so nice, so still prefer the uninova one. will be good if can get the same model but lower cost
-
hi matashi that's the 46" LED? did you mention $2699? Can check when you book? Saw in Harvey at $2499 - call them to match price ah
-
hi gals mama we had the same question too. each time we walked into a shop and asked this, the first question we were asked is which floor we are staying - if low floor, no problem with pressure, high floor esp last few, pressure low. but one thing i have learnt from RT is for rain shower, it's either citigas heater or storage heater, instant heater definitely no.
-
hi was just at lorenzo this evening. The saleslady said the same thing- regardless of what kind of leather, you need to apply some kind of "softener" to the leather, else sure to peel and flake esp if near sun. For their products, if you buy their leather kit, they will give one time free maintenance service. But upon delivery, we must apply one coat ourselves first before use. anyway warranty is only on mechanism and structure, and none for leather.

Ventilation Exhaust Fan Installation For Toilet ?
froggy replied to tientien's topic in Plumbing & Electrical Works
nice. can i ask if exhaust fan can be installed in the kitchen? -
ha ha we went to harvey norman today and the salesman said the same. infact, the salesman said a 40" is enough liao, 46' is already a little too big to be comfortable. So now he seems convinced that a 55" is too big, but I am hoping to bring him to accpet a 40" ... hubby says tv may look big at first, but as days pass and you get used to it, it will "become smaller" ... for me, besides the price, I am also concerned about the size being too big bc I think it's not good for my children's eyes to be looking at a big glaring screen? Am I right with this assumption? Bc for myself, when i watch tv too long, i get very tired eyes

ha ha, gals mama we were in jb some days back too, came back empty handed. wanted to look for lights, but maybe because not prepared, so did not get anything in the end. Think to go to job to shop, must have done very thorough homework in singapore first.

Sat, 26/6/2010 too tired to update last night, because we went to so many places yesterday - came back and drop dead! GR Link finally brought hubby to GR Link, and placed deposit on the kitchen sink. Benny has so kindly kept it for me for several months even though I had not even placed any deposit for it! As for other items, we will have to collect the keys to see the house physically before deciding. Lightings.com again very pleasant salesman there, who patiently went through many aspects of lighting that we have never known. Their pricing are indeed cheaper than a few others are balestier, but I find the range a bit limited. May end up getting downlights from them only. I do like the LED down light too. Did not order anything yet, waiting for design colour scheme etc confirmed before proceeding, but on the whole, enjoyed the visit and learnt alot. Mega discount again a very fruitful experience. Spoke with 2 salesman, both are patient and extremely knowledeable. Managed somewhat to convince hubby that a 55" TV is way too big for our hall, but let's hope it stays this way bc we have not booked. As in GAB, the kitchen salesman also promoting Brandt everything - hob, hood, oven, dryer. Now I am all confused?? But he is not hard selling or trying to ask me to buy higher end. On the other end, he was trying to "help me save" by recommending Brandt, because the Electrolux I had my mind on was more pricey. I asked about the pyrolytic oven being hot, and damaging the cables etc, but he straightaway said "no, not hot". The heat only escapes from the front of the oven. He said he has been to oven demo, and personally experienced that. And they did mention the lowest price policy, just like what Sam said. Saw in yesterdays papers where the samsung TV is cheaper in Audio House and Harvey Norman, so may have to do more TV price comparison before committing.

ya, did ask him, and he said it will be slightly lighter than the colour chosen. Which orange did you choose for the glass colour? Do you have a pix to post, to see yr orange? Not decided on the laminate colour, but likely in the beigy tone. Not daring enough to try others because orange glass back is already so strong, so we thought the cabinets should be subtle.

hi anyone use brandt hob and hood? it came highly recommended at a shop i went to yesterday. models are hob TG890X hood Ad990X i was not able to see the physical stock as the hob was out of stocks, while the hood is a new model that has not arrived. anyone can comment? thanks
-
was at balestier last night. Saw crestar fans at chan huat (or something along that line). But sorry dunno model bc the salespeople seem busy with the new stocks check and we were not really ready to buy. sgnick, you may want to check out that shop?
