  1. wa, secret agent ah? James Bond 007
  2. or do 3 downlights, 2 above headboard and 1 infront of wardrobe? and have 2 switches - one for the two above headboard, and another for the wardrobe light? in this way, if turn on the wardrobe light, will not disturb the one sleeping liao
  3. keke .. good idea hor ... so how 15may and bearlyn? Your hall unit cold or not? how many BTU you get?
  4. hi we bought the hyflux 2 cylinder filtration system - first filter than carbon. Was advised not to get 3 cylinders bc flow will be very very slow bc water need to go through too many stages. For the 2 cylinder system, no need to buy any service maintenance, just twist the 2 cylinders out of main unit, discard and install new ones. Supposed to be fuss free bc the system comes with a auto shut off when cylinders are removed. (I said "supposed" bc I am still doing reno so have not tested out system).
  5. wow lovely curtains. what material is it?
  6. hi thanks! Will be waiting patiently for yr px! Have fun!
  7. Thanks Joseng eclair ... my girls' favourite too. But so long never bake that liao ... how's things yr side? move in officially already? You know what - last week Edmund's work for our unit is slow and steady, then taper off end of week. Yesterday no work! I wanted to call him but decided to hold myself, luckily I did - bc today the house was full of activities!
  8. thanks thanks .. sure sure .. once all of us settle down, party then class .. yup, fondant. sure is edible, but very sweet. and the decor hor .. got denture cannot eat ah, later teeth all drop! want to try?
  9. ya, got glass door. But sliding door sure got gap right? Anyway will see how lah, not likely to do whole length of feature wall - too costly, also make hall very cramp imo. so move in experience the aircon first then see what to do syst 8 then the trunking must be scaring man! maybe the thickness cover half the wall liao
  10. wah, marshmellow when you finally get to download, you will be loaded with tonnes of photos! For me, if I don't download fast, after a while, I forget what that photos is about liao - so terrible right? just realise that you are also preparing for wedding. Not easy man, with so many things up the sleeve - jia you jia you!
  11. aiyo, why you sleeping need to turn on light one ah?
  12. Ya la, this is what I told my hubby, but he is so afraid that not cold enough - some more I eat away part of the hall to become kitchen ...
  13. wow congrats on your move. Look forward to seeing more of yr nicely done home when you settle in, ok? So in the end you got the mover to move everything? Can share how much is yr cost of moving? and piano? I also need a mover for that. thanks
  14. why the downlights not above headboard area? If you have tv infront of bed and downlight shining from that side, wouldn't it be glaring? just my humble non-expert opinion
  15. nice curtains, Sam which stage do you get yr curtain contractor in? During reno or at the end? Usually they need about a month to make?
  16. Tue, 27 July 2010 very very happy today. Yesterday I said very sian bc not much done in last few days - and this morning when I went down to FV, saw Edmund and 3 workers hard at work - 2 smoothening the ceiling board and 1 plumber! Today I truly witnessed real overnight transformation! Also decided to upgrade the single split system to 24k BTU, just went down to see Aron about this. Out of curiosity, how do you all keep the aircon within the hall? Now cracking head how to "close" the passage so minimise aircon escaping? Some ideas are - 1. build a feature wall from dining wall all the way across to TV wall, and have a tic tac door where passage is - but this will cost a bomb! 2. curtain - but can see track, and not sure how much it can block aircon 3. door - wow, like some secret agenda behind door!
  17. thanks thanks. Yes, let's have a party after all reno done - must enjoy after all the hard work right? Sam, how's things on yr side?
  18. you mean your contractor add another floor trap? can ah? actually for me, when contractor did the hole in kerb, i did not notice the inside floor trap. Later when i saw two floor traps, then i ask him rationale and he explained this. But honestly, I would prefer to close the hole bc don't like the outside area to be flooded
  19. wo hoo ... kitchen aid, also on my wish list ... but must wait for now, not enough $$ to spread around liao I like the open shelf concept, myself going to have two panels next to sink also
  20. not much reno progress, very sian, so I sidetrack a bit ... just done this ...
  21. ya, that's what i noticed when i went to yr place the other day. Only mbr trunking is different bc you put your fancoil at opposite wall from ours. Yours is syst 4 or 3+1? for us, will box up area at passage way. bo bian - that's the best way they can trunk, but still can see some
  22. ya hor, actually I never notice. Guess their skin is seasoned to such harsh treatment liao ya, false ceiling at passage to cater to downlight lor
  23. hi i am facing the same too. Not decided what to do, but one possibility is to have two pendant lights on either side of the beam. Maybe some others here have better ideas/suggestions?
  24. Monday, 26 July 2010 Nothing much done over the last few days, except for completion of aircon trunking and part of ceiling works. So sian, hoping for more action ...
