  1. hi 15may you did alot of mirror in yr house right? can check how much you pay for the full height mirror "feature wall"? how much psf? originally not intending to, but now wondering if having some kind of mirror at the dining wall will be good, but need to know what potential damage will be before deciding. thanks
  2. thanks bearlyn called them up but too bad they don't deal direct with owners. must look for other source now
  3. in that case better start recee fast, I heard their units taken fast, esp those aircon and near the lift ones. Did you make a comparison amongst the different storage warehouses?
  4. gold .. that's why do choose yellow and white? or how many colours in total? mine still long long wait. tomorrow laying marble - this will take several days i think, before the parquet in the rooms can commence. expected HO only in 3rd week of sept ... super sian .. was hoping to move in latest during the sept school hols ... did you catch any YOG action over the weekend? Was at Bedok Reservoir today, must say I truly loved it - the singapore spirit .. wow!
  5. hey what is the brand for yr white and orange laminate - nice!
  6. nicely done gals mama! Your house all grey-white theme, except girls' room. I anticipate some war at home when it comes to choosing paint colour for my girls' rooms too!
  7. ya, in big orange, about 400+ per month, but dependent on size. We use 2 units of 2x2m. You need to look for one too?
  8. Hi Jaskel can I bring the topic back to original question for the expert, ie if separate contractor does cabinet and granite top, will there be any major issues?what to look out for in the coordination etc? thanks
  9. Hi welcome welcome - looks like quite a lot from coral spring reporting in RT liao! is coral spring the one opposite fernvale? on the same side as the mall? still blur bc not moved in yet I like the layout here - so much more versatile than mine - envious lor
  10. this is such a shame! Sorry not meaning any negative comments, but I take this to be design error - ID should see this and advice of alternative design. The middle shelf cannot be positioned lower so as to create a longer shelf space for the files?

me too, only saw one set on each side. where are the other 2 sets positioned?
  12. do you have the contact for these simple bar design type? I am really attracted by the price!
  13. oops, sorry i was not clear. I mean june has that door, but i dunno how much hers was. But at the showroom, we were quoted 499 for one design that we liked - I think the frame is all the same, difference in price is dependent on the door material and combinatioon - like acrylic vs glass vs phonolic vs ... etc
  14. Sun, 8 aug 2010 Have been out of action for house reno, but busy chasing the torch bearers at the YOG! Went both for yesterday and today's events - it was really thrilling! The long and tiring wait, the anticipation and the excitement when the torch bearers finally arrived ... must go and catch them in action if you have not already done so! And of course the 2 mascots - my girls went gaga over them, and now my cameras are loaded with photos of nothing but the YOG torch relay!
  15. Welcome! So looks like banned and bearlyn have spread their network! What's yr layout plan for yr new place?
  16. are these window grilles? Wow, look so complicated one - so many bars very hard to clean lei. I am looking for very simple 2 or 3 bar type. Anyone know where to get?
  17. have not done curtains yet, but 1.9k really sounds like alot! This is scary - i am getting a bit worried now because we do have quite a bit of windows at FV!
  18. check out this link to see the different combi for swingand slide door. Their showroom is at balestier, near the tiles shop (Hafary/Hup kiong/Sin Lian Hin). http://swingslide.com.sg/gallery_acrylic_phenolic.html If I remember rightly, prices start from $299 (but I am not 100% certain about this). But the combi we like is $499, and we went "what? - almost 500 for a door?!?!" so decided not to get one. you can pay a visit to june's place - she has one in her place, right June? I think the swing slide door is much nicer and neater than the bifold, but the price!
  19. Hi Sam congrats on yr move! I like yr kitchen - uncomplicated and modern colour combi. You managed to get a knife block?
  20. Zelly yr house also marble flooring? Do you do epoxy polish? At this stage, I was told epoxy is optional, though best to do to preserve the life of the marble. but of course doing this means we have to increase our spending on house reno. But then again, since already spent so much for the floor, might as well do it all properly so it can stay shiny for a longer time btw have you all heard that marble floor can go mouldy if the place is not ventilated for a long period of time? Dunno true or not?
  21. thanks Zelly and Gals Mama It was love at first sight for us too - that's why we said it's a blessing that the first deal did not pull through! My parent's place had compressed marble flooring, and on a hot day, we will all sleep directly on the floor - I just love that feeling! Haha, we are also in the midst of a discussion to plan out a duty roster for the girls - no excuses for them this time -- must maintain well after pouring so much into the house ... Is there a good brand of marble detergent? How about parquet flooring - same or different type? Bc my hall is marble and rooms are parquet - means I need to get 2 types of detergent? And kitchen is homogeneous tile - so 3 types??
  22. thanks, bearlyn and 15may! How's yr housewarming? and the so-many-of-you whose housewarming falls on the weekend?
  23. wow didnt know the system is so complicated one. But for the $799 or $89 system that you mentioned, if alarm is triggered, do we need to reset it?
  24. hi bearlyn when you get pix of grilles, can you please post? My quotation for grilles for whole house is more than 1k. But cost aside, we were undecided whether to have grilles or not, main reason being that our children are quite big. But bc of room size, we may need to place bed next to window, so I am abit worried that they may lean too close to the window, esp when just awake and half asleep. But then, we are on low floor, so ... but what if housebreakers attempt to be spiderman ... On the other hand, maybe instead of installing for whole house, we just do for their bedroom .. thinking thinking .. and of course $$ plays a big role too .
