Well, finally eventually, throughout an easy going weekend, we had finalized what we planned to do on the renovation. Start going for 2nd meetup with all the shortlisted IDs on this week and coming week to get the revised quotation and comparison after that. I also tried not to take. The problem, where got so much cash on hands to pay all these things...sigh...moreover, I'm not as "matured" as you...hehehehe...too young to have so much cash on hands...Some more, I need to pay alot of cash when buying this unit as I'm a PR holder. So you know, no grant, no HDB loan, CPF not enough which end up almost everything by cash! sigh...

OK. After around 3 weeks ID hunting, I had shortlisted 3 IDs! YES!!!!! The nominees are~~~~ 1) Plush Living (Darren) 2) Ideal House (Sean) 3) CLC (Leslie & Jeremy) All the pricing around the same range (~SGD35k....). By this Sunday, I'm going to finalize our home sweet home design and ask them to quote us the same thing. Then will do the final comparison and shortlisted 2 IDs for site measurement on early Jun. Finally, I can get a break to play my games peacefully during night time! YES! hahahaha....

OK! super clear now! so easy thing. 3 HDMI port and 1 component as minimum requirement! hehehehe.... I thought hdmi only carrying video..lol....i am so dumb!! To me, i think the quality differences between different technology is hard to notice. I will take whatever technology using less cable! hahahaha...so i guess HDMI is the way to go!

OK. Let me do a conclusion for this. In order to plug in all Xbox, PS3, DVD and Wii, i need an AV receiver with 1) Video - 4 x HDMI (PS3, XboX, DVD and Wii) 2) Audio - total 4 ports which can be mix of HDMI audio or Optical (PS3, XboX, DVD and Wii) Lastly, anyone know where to study on the comparison between HDMI, Component Input & Optical? Or someone got the time to give me free express tuition on that? hahahaha. BTW, the coax port used for what?

Yes. After meet up with quite a number of IDs, we're more click with Plush Living (Darren). From our discussion, he "seems" (yet to proof) very very experienced. Not to mention he is tall, handsome, friendly etc etc. Sales tactic? hehehe Another one is Defong (Jeremy). He is experienced as well but he is quite old. My wife is worries that his design idea might be outdated and not suitable for young people like her. lol...... Tonight going to meetup with Jeremy from CLC. Hopefully he can give me a good impression as well. Tomorrow will be my last ID meetup which will be Ideal House (Sean). Then will finalize 3 IDs out and talk for 2nd round. Lastly, cut out 1 more and bring the other 2 for site measurement. Final round then my ID will be confirmed! YES YES YES!!!! Thinking whether to talk with Henry from ID Note but after reading Fencer post, I'm quite scare ler as I don't really have much time to go the site everyday. I only can make it after working hours which will be 5.30pm. So, guess need to pay more for ID. I'm going to do a spreadsheet for the renovation cost, HDB flat buying cost and gantt chart planning for the next few weeks what I'm going to do. Will post it up once I'm done. ok...reading all the posts here start making me confused. going to ask some noob questions....lol.... I know TV, I know Blu-Ray Player, I know speakers. WTH is the AV stuff? amplifier? Maybe I should leave this thing the last thing to worry of. Hahahaha.....Or, experts out there can recommend me which brand of speakers and other accessory to buy? I just want to have those cinema feeling while watching blu-ray. simple. I'm not those ppl sitting at the middle of living room with all the speakers being arranged and listening to a female singer (forgot her name...someone mention it to me before....hehehe..he told me is a MUST for everyone who fancy on speaker system) CD. hahahaha.... So, any nice and cheap sound system to recommend? hehehe...

WAHLAO, seriously, I can't believe you all using hot water to bath! It's so freaking hot in Singapore here and I need to use cold water to shower even in the morning. Since we are talking about heater now, sammy jie, which brand is good for storage heater? To be honest, I want to have instant heater as you turned on, got the hot water. My wife always complaining on the storage heater, as after she wake up in the morning, she need to turn on the heater first, then come back to cont sleep for another 5-10 min, then only go to bath. lol.....bit troublesome. But she want to have rain shower as well. As I reading through the post, I can only have storage heater if I'm going for rain shower right? Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Dont worry. Slow works will come out good result. Think on the bright side! If you are not hurrying to move in, I think giving the IDs more times are good in order to get the things done right. Anyway, glad to see all the UGLY stuff being hacked off and removed! HOORAY!!!!!
