Oh....that means when doing undermount, it is the preparation work will count ak....i thought just the silicone itself....anything to take note on the preparation work? Mind to share around? hehehehe.... I did look for the hyflux. I think the 2 cylinder type right? But the catridge is so expensive. SGD200+SGD65. Lol.....feel like a pain ler....but no doubt hyflux is one of the top tier product for water filtration....that 3M system is much more cheaper. Everything including installation is sgd400 and catridge is sgd100. Lifespan is around 2800L. Comparing with Hyflux which the lifespan is around 3000L, a lot cheaper...hehehe...Well, need to go test the water and see how it is first....

Wah, fencer. Sorry for my long MIA. Read your posts like watching drama lor....up and down.....hahahaha... Anyway, firstly, happy that you moved in to your new house. No matter how, you owned an unit and staying inside there now. Grats! Second, on the Henry stuff, not much comment as I never got the chance to meet him. Hehehe...Think on the bright side, you're lucky because only getting minor flaw comparing with others? hahaha... Third, on the dish tray, if it is stainless steel 304 grade and above (better is 316L as good furnishing and light weight), it will not rust at all. NOT AT ALL. I was in Marine industry previously and all the electrical power panel which expose externally, seawater corrusion etc etc....all "MUST" use stainless steel 316 and I can say that it will never rust or corrode! lol....Use that kind of material for our kitchen might overkill but it's good! Last time, I managed to custom made one tray for my current staying unit. Ask my x-company indian worker to take out one panel cover and cut cut cut it and some touch up...there we go...A SS316 grade dish rack! hahahaha.... Lastly on the PS3. 400++ for a gaming console plus blu ray player plus a lot of good things is 100% worth it. Just imagine, the console is costing you sgd500. With SGD500 nowadays, I believe it's like maybe around 5 buffet dinners for a couple. Or maybe a crab feast at AMK for around 10 people. Things eaten will go into stomach (and came out eventually) but PS3 is always there for the next few years and you can watch movie, play games, surfing etc etc....lol...Don't you think is worth it? Just make sure this month dont go for any crabs meal or buffet then...hahahaha...This is how I persuaded my wife to approve my Wii, xbox and PS3 console purchasement! lol....

wah jeffcraze, grats on your moved in. Sure happy lor. Hehehe..... At first I planned to have a grey mirror on my tv console in living. Just after looking at yours, I straight away make a phone call to my contractor to ask him changed to black mirror please! hahahaha...really nice leh!!! Hopefully the outcome will be as nice as yours! lol... I noticed the MAHJONG TABLE! Any open house soon? Need me to bring over my mahjong sets ak? hehehe..how many you need? lol....

Hi Everyone! Sorry for the long MIA!!!! hehehe...recently been very very very busy on my new job...haih....Yet need to settle so many things on my new nest! headache headache. Anyway, my toilet issue was solved! hahaha...thank you very much for Jaskel recommendation and suggestions! It works perfectly. I will try to upload some photos by tonight! hopefully. So far untl right now, they had finished laying tiles in toilets, kitchen. Now doing the living at the moment. Yesterday went for detailing discussion with my ID. Few things caught my concern though.... 1) Undermount kitchen sink. ID did highlight to me that to do the undermount, few things I need to take notice. - Easier to leak comparing with top mount. Need handle with care. - No heavy weight on sink - No flooding on sink Just want to double confirm here. What he said is true? I noticed Jaskel did the undermount for jeffcraze as well. From what the ID drawn to me, I believe it is the same method. Is that meaning as long as I use a very very good silicon, it will minimize the possibility for all those bad things to be happened? hehehe...Too Kiasu.... 2) Water purification. Any recommendations here? I try to look around and found this from 3M. http://solutions.3m.com.sg/wps/portal/3M/e...Q40ISNFA3JG2043 Seems good and neat. Most important, can be installed under the sink to save space. Anyone using this at the moment? Else just give me some recommendations as I am too lazy to cook water. lol.... I think thats all for this moment. Nowadays been quite free. Can get here more often! lol...

OK. If slightly inner, my shower area left 700mm width only. Too small to shower. If slightly outer, the kerb will be at the mid of my toilet entrance which meaning the shower screen got problem to install. Hehehe..got the idea? Yes. Can actually shift the trap hole. For my case, I need to install 2 brand new trap holes which going towards this one. This will end up some other problems: 1) Slow water flow back to floor tap. Might getting flood. 2) Floor height will be raised up. 3) In future, if suay suay something happened and you need to access this so called "main" trap hole, you need to hack tiles hack kerb hack shower screen etc. Hmm...didnt receive it. I will pm you my email address. You can email me. Thank you jaskel!

Hi Everyone....... OK. I got an issue right now...hehehehe.....Refer sketch below: I'm going to have a glass shower screen on top of the kerb. OK. Now, the shower kerb will block the floor trap. What I can think of is only open a small hole on the other side so the dry area water will flow into the floor trap. The problem is that the shower kerb can't be fully opened. Any ideas how to solve this ak? Thank you thank you!

Thank you for all your help to tell me what to do next....hehehe... My ID just helped me apply the renovation permit. Start work on 19/7! On schedule! lol.... For the utility things, you can apply online here. http://services.spservices.sg/cs_services_...rameset.asp?ID= Simple and straight forward. For the conservancy fees hor, I duno how to do it ler...Need to go town council for that? And for the fire insurance, I didnt attend the second appointment and my agent represent me to do it. She didnt tell me anything on the fire insurance. But she did help me to pay the property tax. That's all. Guess I need to go HDB to buy that fire insurance? My IC address....hehehhe...the first thing after working yesterday is rush to Police Station and change IC address!!! So exciting!!!! Hahaha....But the sticker spoil my beautiful IC look...Haih.... Lastly on the lock....well, actually, after the inspection with the house owner on Sunday, I straight away use my lock to lock it as I'm worry they are going to remove more things from my precious house. lol....So, no worry! Now left the fire insurance and conservancy fees then....Let me try to ask around see how to do it.
-
Eh, you mind to wait for another 1 month until my renovation is complete? FYI, this reno ID is my wife friend. Therefore, there is no review on them yet in RT. So far, I am very happy and satisfy with their service but I'm thinking maybe we wait till the renovation completed then only start review. If you insist want to give them a try without waiting my actual reno review, I'm OK with that. Just PM me. . But nothing is guaranttee which I must say here first as I haven't complete my reno with them.

YES! Finally, the house is officially MINE!!!!! WAHAHAHAHAHA....... But then, how come there is no any documents/certificates stated that unit is yours? The completion documents seem so lousy!! Just 2 letters and the house is mine?!!!! Sigh....My wife keep complaining we are using SGD300k to get this 3 pieces of paper only!!! lol..... Anyway, from the letter itself, seems like I need to pay a lot of things. Anyone mind to enlighten me what kind of things that I need to pay and how to do it? The first thing I want to get it done is the utilities!!! lol....

Wah, so many replies....hehehe......OK. Mostly is regarding on the washing machine. Let me answer that first. Yesterday night went up to my new house with my wife. Brought a super bright latest technology LED torch light up there to look look see see. hehehe...Then found out actually beside the common toilet entrance, there is some space to put the washing machine! Just below the window there. So, we decided to put the washing machine there instead of putting inside the cabinet. Reason is we want to have more cabinets and we prefer the microwave to be located inside the full height cabinets. Looks better and save some table top space. Just that at the corner you will see a washing machine there which we think should be alright. Wcseow, the living room remain exactly the same as per first revision except that the TV console laminate will change to glossy white. Regarding on the letterbox issue, I called up a locksmith and they charging me SGD80 as the lock is spoilt (meaning beyond repair and unable to open. They need special "equipment" to open it). Found out quite expensive and wondering if that's the standard charge.

This morning, I went to my new house for inspection as tomorrow is the completion!!! YES YES YES!!! BUT....when I went in, guess what I saw..... ALL 3 ROOM DOORS DISAPPEARED!!!! I was like stunned and WTF!!! Why the rooms are without doors?!!!! Sigh....Then start calling the house owner, HDB, etc etc....The house owner don't even want to come and tell me that they are "outstation". I was so so so so angry that time !! Straight away the owner and told him, if you don't turn up within 3 hours, tomorrow there will be no completion and you will get HDB officer to visit you!! lol..... I really don't understand. Yes, those room doors are new but they got no right to take it out right? Even though I am changing a new one but at least let me know or talk with me nicely and I will pass them the doors when I start my renovation! Sigh... After the inspection, decided go for a swim to cool my head down while waiting them to come. lol... Cut the story short, I make a decision while I'm swimming. Forget about doors. Afterall, I'm not going to use it back. Yes, I can complain to HDB and eventually, owner need to put the doors back BUT that served no purpose at all since I am going to dismantle it and throw it. So, let me become the "generous good" buyer. 1pm met up with the owner, tell them that I'm very very unhappy with what they had did to me, BUT since I'm educated and civilized people, I will just ignore and forget what had happened. I even said thank you so much for your "kindly" help to dismantle the doors for me! lol.....They knew they are wrong and keep quiet during the whole inspection. Lastly, tell them to pass me the keys and immediately, go buy a new lock to lock my dearest house! lol...no more illegal dismantling from now onwards!!! Anyway, I'm facing a problem right now. The letterbox lock was broken. No way to open it. Anyone got any idea how to DIY that lock? All I need is to make it open then I can change a new lock myself.
-
Yes. Next to wall. ID took care of the space allowance in order to make sure the door can be opened more than 90 degrees.
-
Yesterday night went up to meet with the ID. Confirmed quite a lot of stuffs. Hehehe.... The washing machine will be inside the full height cabinets. The right hand side one. That's the reason why the microwave had been moved out. And yes, my wife is persuaded with this layout as it is much more spacious! The toilet, we found out what is the weird thing. Is the mixture of the black and white wall tiles. The ID thought we want to have a resort feel on the toilet. That's why she trying her best to put in the selected tiles into the toilet to create it. Ha~~~Anyway, we asked her to change to all white wall tiles with some mosaic. Guess will be much more better with the next revision!

IMHO, seriously, I don't like music at all. Piano lessons, Music Lessons, and whatever junior music course.....I just simply don't like it. lol....And to me, going for music classes is a waste of money...hahaha...BTW, those who are very good in music will be having some "weird" behavior....lol....So called "artistic" behavior. Ha~~~ Anyway, my wife did teach some private students in Sembawang on Wednesday if I'm not mistaken. I think her schedule is quite pack right now but no harm asking if you do really consider to find a music teacher to teach privately. You can PM me if you are interested.
