Hmmm.. I am curious.. You only just joined this forum (as of today 12:04 am) and posted not one, but two "personal experience" with IDs. Against two different IDs (at 12:14 am and 12:34 am). Isn't that weird? -
Aircon From Courts / Best / Hn / Gain City
coyoteapple replied to coyoteapple's topic in Electronics & Electricals
Yup. The quote was the same u mentioned above. Dismantle is $50 per unit. My ID is helping me for free though. Anyway, Best Denki screwed up the price cos they gave me the price of the older model (MSXY3A28VA). But it's just $11 more. In the end, they absorbed it since the sales staff made the mistake. Anyway, the only difference is exterior look. Installation is on next Thurs. Keep u updated on the work. -
Nope. This is a Chinese family. The COV in this area is typically higher and higher. Now that it adds a new CC, price may go up again. Thanks! We love the walkway too. Yup. It's layout is a typical condo style.

I just bought the MXY3A28VA / MSXYGA10VA x3 @ $3137.24 including 5-year warranty from Best Denki @ Vivo City. Served by this Patrick guy too. Installation will be done by Fushion Installer. Anyone heard of them? -
Ugly tiles gone. New tiles in progress..

Aircon From Courts / Best / Hn / Gain City

Are you referring to Mitsubishi Sys 3 Inverter? Is the model MXY3A28VA or MSXY3A28VA? The latter is an older model of the former, according to the sales staff. But he claimed there's no difference except for the exterior look. Can anyone verify this? -
Personally, I feel that you shouldn't save on this amount. To do acid wash on your own and having the possibility of ruining the flooring is too risky. Ask yourself this: how much did you pay for your flooring? Is it worth the risk? $150 is alright. It will save your trouble and minimize the risk. And if anything happened, you don't have to take responsibility. Just my two-cents' worth.

Aircon From Courts / Best / Hn / Gain City

FYI, Best Denki offers 8% instant discount off their inverters. But do note that their prices are marked up higher so that after this discount, the price is still about the same as HN or Courts. The good news is, their 5-year extended warranty is only @ 7% of the total cost. This is definitely cheaper than most stores. On top of that, there's also a 2% rebate in terms of voucher. But you can only use it in the next month. Eg: For an inverter with a price tag of $3000, you pay $2760 for it. Pay another $210 for 5-year extended warranty and also get a $60 voucher next month. All these are applicable only for their OCBC Best Platinum Card. Let me know about HN's offer at the moment. They don't have any aircon available during the recent HN Expo Sale. -

Hey, welcome to RT! I'm also very keen to engage GC. Do share more with us. Thx! -
After seeing my friend's place, one very important lesson is: Never ever change the entire floor-to-ceiling wall to glass partition, you will die cleaning and maintaining it. The stain marks are so bloody obvious! But then again, I'm doing up my wall partially with glass partition. Ha.

It's optional for the agent to be present during inspection. That will be the add-on service. This will definitely differentiate the good ones from the bad ones. Mine did a great job throughout the entire process. From paperwork, to negotiation, to arrangement of appts (not 1st or 2nd appt), to getting keys earlier than expected, to hand-over / take-over. All these even before I pay him. Some agents want the payment during the 1st or 2nd appt. They find all sort of excuses, such as clearance at the agency takes a long time etc. Have you sign the service agreement with the agent? If not, you can actually go to the 2nd appt on your own. Basically, the 2nd appt is done by the HDB officer. Agents are there to show face and coordinate only. But the agent will definitely not let it go easily. Imagine, getting his commission soon but lose it so suddenly. Anyway, between 1st and 2nd appt, there's really nothing much the agent has to do. So, is there any other area where you feel the agent is not doing his job well?

Thanks for sharing your experience with GC. Anyone bought from elsewhere other than GC? Courts? Best Denki? -
Is it true that these soundbars can't play DVDs from the pirates? Mine still in the box, so haven't test it out.

Hi all, Finally free to upload some images of my Vacant home. Living room Walkway Kitchen Service Balcony

We just bought a 4-rm @ 681B. Although not new to Woodlands, but what I like is the convenience of going to JB. It's faster than going to Orchard!! The negative side is the lack of good food. (Speaking from someone who stayed in the East for 30 years!)

Our ID also recommend Pergo. You want his contact? PM me.

Hey, I'm also looking for a Philips HTS5120 / HTS6120 Soundbar. How much did you pay for it @ MEGA D.S.? I saw the HTS6120 @ MEGATEX 2010 selling for $799. Do let me know your review of the product too. Thanks! Anyway, I agreed that a Soundbar can NEVER match a true HTS. I think budget, wiring and number of speakers are the main keys for the choice.

Ha, yes!! I'm staying in Blk 681B. How about you? Can see your floor plan and design?

Yes, you're right. But also wrong. Why? Well, the price displayed at the fair is definitely more ex (or about the same price). But it's the "first few sets" offer that's attractive. I bought the LG 42" FHD LED TV (42LE5300) for only $1099. The lowest price I found before this fair is $1499. That's $400 cheaper. Where can you find such price for a new model that's 42" Full HD LED? Furthermore, this model has really good review. It really depends. Two weeks ago, I also bought a 32" (also from LG, 32LD420) FHD LCD TV at the HN fair for a cheap price. $450 only. That's also for the first 20 sets. You really can't find such prices in the regular stores. I did a lot of homework. ; )

Last day of MEGATEX. Check out today's Straits Times for the good deals (those limited sets offer). Cos I went there on day 1 and saw the price shown was $1449. Then on day 3 (yesterday), I saw this ad in the newspaper. The price is so much different!
-
I just got it from MEGATEX @ Expo this morning. They are selling the first 15 sets only (not display units). They even provide me with free delivery and installation. Good deal, right?

Hey guys, not sure if this topic has been discussed previously. But I am gathering feedbacks from your past experiences in purchasing your aircons from these stores. I read the thread regarding Gain City's service and was definitely taken aback. What about other stores? How about from NTUC Fairprice? They are giving FREE extended warranty to 5-years. Just wondering how good their after-sale service. I'm also considering Best Denki because they have a 8% discount for their OCBC card member. Moreover, you can get 2% worth of voucher/cash rebate. Lastly, any idea if there will be any good deals in the upcoming COMEX?
