Hi Yumiko, I have decided to get Brandt. I called a few (Goh ah Bee & kong Tai) neighborhood store... I think audio house still give the best price.. They will be able to match all prices. Also at Audio House i will be using credit card. I went to harvey norman today, the sales person told me Bosch HBN331E2J is better as compared to Brandt FE811XS1 but since im also getting the hob and hood from Brandt so I shall stick to Brandt build in oven as they give me very good bundle price. Hi Kitchen Matters, I'm new to the forum and also planning to get a built-in oven too. However I really know nuts about oven. Basically I will be using the oven for bakering and grilling only therefore i think a basic oven is good enough. Could you advice which model is more value for money. My budget is about $600 to $800. My friend recently bought a Ariston FD 61.1 Ice for $699 and she told me it's extremely value for money as the original price is $919. It comes with Tangential ventilation ( i read your previous post and i know this is important) Timer function, Internal Oven light, Triper Layer Glass Door & Oven Accessories: 1 Dripping Tray, 2 Grid. The Ice mirror finishing looks cool!! Now Mayer have other model FZ 61.1IX selling for $569 original price is $799. It comes with Tangential Ventilation, Inox Clean Stain Resistant Surface, Timer Function, Thermostat Control Function, Triple Layer Glass Door & Oven Accessories: 1 Dripping Tray, 1 Grid The differences btwn the 2 is FD 61.1 Ice come with Interior Oven Light & Oven Accessories: 1 Dripping Tray, 2 Grid however FZ 61.1IX come with Inox Clean Stain Resistant Surface, Thermostat Control Function & Oven Accessories: 1 Dripping Tray, 1 Grid. To us we dont really mind paying high valuation of the flat because ultimately that is the "real valuation" of the flat and not additional money asked by the seller.... not sure if you guys know what i'm trying to say here.... Many thanks to therat.... i think i have decided..... you are right the flat is at block 18X. The child care is not directly under the flat i like..... and is kind of convenience to us if we have our kids in future....

Yes salavanun you are right....for those at higher floor they are asking min cov $40k and above (some even asked for $65k with better reno). To me, low floor is fine as long as there is no coffeeshop below... So far have you guys encounter any bad experience for staying at low floor?

Thanks Forgotten, nowdays it is SO difficult to get a flat in Singapore be it new or resale.... this flat fulfill most of our requirements.... just that it is low floor but with tight budget I guess we really cant ask for more.....

Yes we went there 3 times, one in the afternoon, evening and night time..... I walked from the MRT and it is indeed 5 mins walk. We balloted for the HDB new and balance flats for the past 2 years..... no luck at all!!!!!... so we got no choice but to go for resale..... kind of heart pain to pay for the cov...... however we cant wait anymore as we foreseen that our combine income will soon hit the limit. Once we hit the income celling, we no longer eligible for the housing grant and the concessionary hdb loan anymore.....
