Yeah... also dish drawer/washer is not popular in Asia.... I have so many ppl asking me... what is that thing? Even the delivery guys asked "what in the world is that thing? " OMG.... didn't know people here is so dinasour. Below is the pix of my dish drawer. The left most twin cabinet is original... the space for the dish drawer is modified from the twin cabinet space... leaving space on the right side to install a 3-tier spice pull out rack, while the there is space at the dish drawer's bottom to install a pull out drawer. The 3-drawers on the right most side is original

Restriction On Dogs In Condo?
d'lotus replied to minimalis's topic in Landed & Condo Private Properties Renovation Discussion
Correct, just like the equivalent... "there are no lousy workers, just lousy bosses".... kudos to those responsible pet owners... but there are so many that generically give all owners a bad name... these people are uneducated, old folks (who cannot change already - just wait for them to DIE)... who do not give 2-hoots on the requirements of pet ownership in majority flat-based Singapore. Too bad... if you want to have a BIG dog... then get landed property.... saying cannot afford is kinda stupid.... go Malaysia then.... for the same price, you can get a bungalow with 1-2 acres of space. Else, get those tiny ones, (some are so horrible looking - they don't even qualify to be called dogs) - but make sure those creatures don't bark.... it's bloody irritating. Don't get me wrong, I am a dog and cat lover, but given the potential problems in owning them in condos, forget it - I just don't want to bring myself down to the level of a dog to talk to one My condo has an idiot whose dog bark non-stop... so many people complain to the management, who in turn ensured us they have revert to AVA... but AVA didn't do take any action... or frankly, what action can they take? Bang down the door and shoot that miserable piece of ****? I don't know.... -
Hi, I intend to do up a few shelves in the kitchen and shoe cabinet and is still deliberating on the following material : (max size per piece 1.5 feet x 1 feet, some pieces need to cut 2x2 inch corners for wiring) a) white laminated b) glass c) tempered glass d) clear hard plastic For a) ... I can give the dimension to my prev carpenter who did my reno b) and c) - preferred for the kitchen pieces. Which is better / safer? d) this is easily scratched Is there any recommended shops where I can get b), c) and d) and the estimated price per piece?

The prices should be much lower at the various home furnishing fairs... check Expo site for details

Now I use it mainly for : a) defrost (80%) b) heat up cold milk/coffee (15%) c) bake cake (5%)

@ashomech.... nope, nothing fancy - Im not that type - practical is more important. Daiso? where is this place? Will check it out

Since you are cooking everyday, best not to have an open island based kitchen. To attach image here, go to http://imageshack.us/ After uploading your image, copy the URL, select the Insert Image icon above and paste the URL in - good idea to preview post to see how yr image turns out (adjust if necessary)

Hi all, I'm looking for a kitchen timer.... used mainly to remind me when I'm boiling water, +/1 10-13 minutes.... or soup cooking 1-2 hours. It should be small in size, easy to set the time, and when the alarm goes, it GOES!! Thanks

@bepgof... Im using Panasonic's Dimension 4 - The Genius .... I think easily for the last 15 years. At that time, it was the most canggih microwave... with convection (a very very new thing)... and we had to pay premium price ... RM2,200 (thereabout). It's big, and since my wife loves to bake... an all-in-one was good. For my new condo here in SG, didnt' want to make space for an in-built oven.... and brought the unit down... still perfect!! Understand Pana has upgraded this model.... functions and dimensions nearly the same... the controls all electronic... and voice-command

Island needs a big space... layout is important. Given SG's pigeon holes, coupled with chinese cooking (if you cook), then island is not for you. For SHOW... or maggi mee cooking (some SG lady colleagues don't even know how to do this!!) - then yes, it's for you!

100kg per shelf? Can you share with us what are you storing in your storeroom.... gas cyclinder also way way much lighter

Practicality should be the aim, not stylo milo... and stylo milo always comes with a price (no cheap and good please) I have the same problem with my kitchen... 2 main sides are all GLASS (headache)..... cannot have too high a dish rack as it can be seem from the dining and living area. I solve this by having a single dish drawer from Fisher & Paykel - double duty... act as a dish rack and when lazy... just press the button to wash the dishes
-
Doesn't matter... either side will do

200 (H) x 135 (W) x 37 (D)

Kudos on your landed property, which is a BIG thing in Singapore... but nothing lah in Bolehland Looking at the previous owner's taste..... red toilet bowl and basin in the guest toilet? Cannot wait for the next set of pix

Since this post, I have been mopping my granite floor with water + normal detergent (without wax)..... the stickiness is gone!! Now ... to saturate it

If I am not wrong, the V60WK sells for about RM500+ (round up RM600 for illustration) Taking type126's SG price quoted at S$488, and take exchange at 2.3, then 600/2.3 = S$260 Savings = 488-260 = S$228

Thanks bro... need to add one to my kitchen.... I suppose the electrician wrongly calculated.... as when I use the kitchen top.... the light comes from the back of my head... casting shadow on whatever Im doing. Need one on top of the kitchen top
-
All brands are ok (one salesperson told me to trust the singapore government, if the electrical products can be sold here, then it would have passed the stringent singapore QC) For me, it's the design and look of the fridge that is more important.... the layout. I got a Panasonic NR-F532TX, not our first choice as we were limited by the space in our condo, as it came with a full kitchen setup. Just imagine, there is one brand that said they have this technology to increase fruits Vit C by 200%... using this special light.... what a lark! @kohnicholas... Hitachi has a good range, worth looking at

I didn't... as during reno, could not get hold of a unit.... all the shops I went to keep saying they don't carry it and keep saying it's a malaysian made fan (shich to them is low quality) In the end I got a Crestar (silver) but their silver is actually bronzie colour I will change it in due course... going back to KL to get it
-
It's the same thing.... go for it... just bear in mind, the same model is named differently in both countries

Hi bepgof.... nice minimalist place u hv there. The 2-bar grill is nice, but will not be suitable for homes with kids, right?
