Hi, I would like to change the rubber gasket for my casement windows as they have worn off. Would like to know if anyone had bought and replaced themsevles before? Is it difficult? Or is there any window contact that I can buy the rubber gasket from them? Thanks

I juz check the amout on my receipt, its actually $1338. I got the number sala.. so less frustrating since the diff is less than $50. Ya man, the electronics prices are dropping every day.. Though I think I kan carrot by my ID, paid $360 for the PDdoor (differnet colour in middle portion), at least I dun have to liasie with the shop myself. This is frustrating.. We bought our LED TV last Sun from Bxxx, they claimed its the First 10 at $1388 under CASH IS KING promotion BUT today, I saw the ad from them at $1298 for First 10..for the same CASH IS KING promotion In less than a week, their price promotion changed. I felt cheated in some way .. thinking i have the great deal. My TV is not delivered yet till next week. Do you think it will be unreasonable to ask them for a rebate and let me pay for $1289 instead? (-ve is i paid using credit card)

My place also has the afternoon sun on certain part of the house. I was kiasu, had the Solar film, blind, blackout curtains to block out all the sun. My MBR wall wuld have the afternoon sun with a mini window exposed, guess its tough to control how hot the wall is at night when the sun goes down. We can only turn on the aircon to cool the place. Other than that, we have a great view and we are on the highest floor that has super high ceiling, most buildings would have a buffer area for the top floor

There is no daily rental fee for the cushions charged by my mgmt.. My reno quote comes with the providing of the protective sheet for the lift. Think no issue with that...

Hi I also did almost 90% overhaul for my condo. Retain the Marble flooring in living room. My Mgmt require us to put $1k for the reno deposit but they din bank in the cheque. They will only deduct off if they dun clear the debris or cause any noise pollution on wkends. No hacking is allowed on sat. No machine drilling u can in fact get a Copy of the rules frm Mgmt office my reno takes abt 8wks. Hope above helps.

ooo. the problem is the tap I bought doesnt have the hot water inlet. The plumber had switched the joint to S/S and its goes straight and direct into the tile. Guess its a case of "no complain, no re-doing".. As for the hot water inlet, they just covered up with a cap for future use. Copper pipe cant be push too into the wall (as wat the plumber claimed, in future will drip water) so they conceal with white paint for the copper pipe. By the way, is it normal for this kind of S/S tower to be shaky? I am having the problem of having it fixed firmly to the ground though we did screwed onto the floor and tried silicon. They claim my floor tiles are uneven so cant screw too deep will affect the concealed water pipe. Not sure if its the lousy work of plumber, that now my tap is also shaky. * shake head.

hi nelmo yes, they do for all sizes. They have few types : 1) Protect all the sides, front portion no clear sheet or whatever - 2) can add A clear sheet (matt/reflective) over the front picture, side all cover with the plastic frame.

I also did blackout blinds for both study room and MBR coz of the morning sun. I had NITE curtain for my Living room, Day+Nite for the MBR. Chose the blackout curtains so that I dun have to wash it so frequently. Nowadays, they have those coloured day curtains to choose from instead of white. Its also good for house to have curtains installed in term of Fengshui. It gives a softer look instead of cold look like the blinds. Of coz, got pros and cons. Curtains must take down and wash. Just had a Msia curtain maker to come over my place with her huge collection of samples and did on site measurement.. Price quite reasonable (Quote in ringgit)

This week schedule: 1. Carpentry to finish up the Study room's wardrobe and replaced the dented laminate on the kitchen entrance 2. To have the kitchen top installed 3. Installation of the bi-fold door to kitchen/yard. 4. Electrician to complete installing all the downlights/cove and changing the switches in the house. Next week: 1. Need to install full length mirror for MBR 2. Plumber to fix the sink connection 3. Citigas to come to fix the gas outlet. 4. Final round of polishing of marble and parquet varnish 5. Varnshing of doors frame 6. Acid wash the floors. 7. Patching up the uneven walls and repainting the walls. Less than 10 days to Move-in date. So much to do.. haiz.. Hope they can Handover the place to me by 30July as promised.

Hi Alisa, I think the quote you got is abit on the high side. I have asked for quotes frm few curtain shops in Clementi for my 2 bdrm condo. Gotten Quote range from S$850-S$1100 based on half length windows (i got a window bay as well) for living room and MBR window. 1)Day and Night blackout curtain for living room and MBR (270cm and 180cm height each) 2)block out blind - For 2 small pc of window panel (sized 70cm x 180cm tall) and a STUDY room (2 windows 160cm x 180cm tall) and one for the storeroom (1 small pc of window sized abt 70cm x 136cm tall) Being Kiasu, I also got Msia curtain maker to quote me. In the end, i signed up for msia ones.
