Yup, tat's rite.. HDB so funny.. only changed those windows and frames at the other side of the house, but not the one at the corridors.. wanna save money so juz changed the corridor ones.. no money, so not much choices..
-
Yup, true! Was showing my colleague my blog during lunchtime and she was surprised tat our contractor is so nice to update the pics for us..
-
Yup, we took jaskel's suggestions for thot and felt that 2 panels is more practical for us as this room has it's use in future, thus if the track protrudes out, it wld be an eye-sore and hinderance..
-
Yup, fencer, totally agree with u.. coz we as laymen, dun understand those stuffs, that's why need the expertise of those who knows.. That's exactly why we are paying them $$! Your facebook example is the reason why me and my hubby don't really wanna engage our frenz as our contractors..
-
Blueocean, actually the blog is mine -> the house owner's blog. Juz tat due to jaskel being so nice to help me take photos on everyday's progress and post it on our blog, me and hubby can juz go up when to the house when we wanna take a physical look, and not have to take any pics..

I was panicking when I saw my blog during lunch time abt jaskel's post on the MBR thingy.. Luckily I sms jaskel and ask him abt it and he told me that he will resolve the problem for me.. if not I think can and sweat buckets sia.. Keeping fingers crossed that he is able to solve the problem for us.. Tomolo hubby will be gg up in the afternoon for some FS stuffs and guess he can see the works for himself..
-
Thanx jaskel for doing that "extra" work.. Wah, we both blur blur, didn't even noticed that the wall was not straight.. Juz wondered why there was cement on that wall only.. haha..
-
The pics too big, u mean? think gotta wait awhile then will resize to monitor size coz mine also like tat.. too big at first..
-
really thanx for all the updates and pics, especially when we are unable to go up to the house and not able to see the works being carried out.. Went up today after work for a peak at the progress but was unable to see the common bathroom as the kitchen floor was wet, with wat we think is waterproofing and jaskel had sms us earlier to avoid gg into the kitchen and bathrooms.. Saw tat the MBR bathroom wall tiles is abt 1/3 way up le..
-
Okie.. Thanx jaskel!
-
Yup! That's wat me and my hubby likes abt this guy! He has been doing a good job so far!
-
Wah, sianz.. tiles broken = more $$ Which area's tiles were broken? Can't seems to figure out from the pictures.. So, the actual tiling has not started yet, rite? Only waterproofing done?

Help, Loanshark Splash Paint Last Mth
jeffcraze replied to catseyes2004sg's topic in Housing Rules, Policies and Procedures
IMO, i dun think so.. coz no guarantee that working professionals with kids will not borrow from ah long when desperate.. Best maybe to ask the neighbours if any loansharks come before to splash paint or not.. -
Erhm, think tat is actually 2D pictures.. Anyway, nope, drawings are not done by me, but rather, done by jaskel.
-
Ah... The phase 2 drawings as promised.. Thanx jaskel! Can't wait for the last phase drawings!
-
Okie, noted!

Well, not much updates.. Went up with hubby and my parents tonite after dinner and realised the electricity was cut off/ not working! Had a shock and wondered wat happened then walked into the MBR and realised that the cornice in the middle of the room had been removed as per our requirement. Guess tat's the reason why there was no electricity.. Went to the kitchen and saw tat it looks wet from the little light that we can see.. Guess the preparation works for the kitchen floor tiling is in progress thus didn't ventured in. Although we were not given any hard and fast reno schedules by jaskel, he kept us updated and told us that next 2 weeks will be tiling works.. Slight changes in the tiling design for the common toilet due to piping probs.. No problems on tat.. Met jaskel on fri and chose our wrought iron gate design (IMO - cute design but dunno our dog will go "mad" or not), windows grill design and the flooring designs for our 3 bedrooms.. He also passed us the colour selection booklets to go through.. Having a headache on that le.. Also, made a slight change in the design of the kitchen cabinets as we suddenly realised tat there is a space constraint problem..

Hi flomichbelle, i'm will be shifting to simei soon! I'm relatively new here too.. Glad tat someone set up a thread for those of us living there!
-
This is interesting.. --> Marshmallow: I didn't requested jaskel to "report" to us in the t-blog, thus am pleasantly surprised that he did so! --> Jaskel: We were actually curious abt the workers as my dad went up on the 1st day and spoke to the workers. But my dad was full of praises for them as he feels tat the older worker is very experienced and did a good job.. Most impt thing is that they still managed to do a good job of saving the wash basins and toilet bowls! Kudos to the 2 hackers! Hmmm... But dunno whether hubby will be "satisfied" with yr "freebies" or not... Haha.. Btw, the drawings u posted was the initial planning stage one lehz.. Today's updates: 1) Hacked the portion of storeroom walls to the length that we wanted. 2) MBR door frame hacked and removed. 3) Debris cleared for most part, save the last bit in the common toilet.
-
3rd day, the living room and storeroom are fully hacked Now the kitchen cum dining area looks so much bigger without the storeroom! The MBR toilet door frame has not been hacked yet though, and also a portion of the storeroom external wall in the living room.. hmmm.. guess the hackers will have to use hammers to hack those items tomolo instead.. Had originally thot all works will stopped after the hacking is done as our FSM advised us to place something only next week, but jason said tat they will do the toilets first as the toilets are not affected.. Thus, we saw tat the bags of cement in our house today le, as work is to commence tomolo.. Cement for laying the hacked floors.
-
3rd day since reno started. Hacking has almost been fully completed. 1st day, both MBR and common toilets were fully hacked, and a bit of the kitchen Here's a pic of one of the saved toilet bowl. Still not sure if we wanna save costs and re-use it or not.. 2nd day, the whole kitchen was done hacking and also, a portion of the storeroom
-
Haha.. Yup.. Think it'll be interesting too..
-
Today is the first day of hacking.. Popped by after work to take a look at the progress.. Took some pics but can't upload coz didn't bring the camera wire back! The 2 toilets' floor and wall tiles have been totally hacked and also a small part of the kitchen floor.. The hackers managed to save the toilet bowls and basins! Good job! The good news is that HDB has approved the hacking of our store walls this morn!
