what is mild steel? I got a window that is very opened but the height needed to be grilled up is like 2350mm x 550mm. Is there any customised grill makers to intro? -

I know i bought my knives during robinson's sale, i go home and check bah.. skali also different brand, den i really pai seh. I remember going through the 1 man 2 men knives. I am working full time yeah and usually reach home at 8pm and eat at around 8:30 to 9pm loh.. It is not too difficult to cook if u plan before hand. You just need to plan what to cook and prepare/marinate the items during weekends and separate them into different containers or plastic bags. I will take the frozen meats down to fridge section to defrost before going to work, so that when I reached home it is all nice and thawed. If my hubby comes home earlier than me he call me to see what I am planning to make. He will help me to boil the pork bones for soup or help to wash and cut the veg. When I am home I will continue from there. Okie, i have not gone for any paid cooking demo. I only go for free ones LOL! -

hm.. I cannot remember mine is 1 man or 2 men, but i GOT a feeling it is 2 men, as we got it pretty cheap for these type of knife. I got 3 knives, the deboning knife, veg knife and meat knife (those look like shashimi knife type.). It is more than sufficient for all my meals. I do enjoy cooking so i tend to cook 3 to 4 days of the 7 days. The rest days are when my hubby goes for lessons and our agreed upon makan outside meals. I dun mind demos if i got food to take back and eat. LOL! super yao kwei! -
D15 is very big. as pantieileen said, there are many condos booming or in constructions from haig to meyer road. Within a 1km area u can find at least 1 day care/ kindie and famous primary schools. This area has a couple of pretty good secondary schools and a high ranking JC to the boot. Many Condos here are offering FH with view and with a 1.5M budget can get a pretty decent level with a nice view too. Do shop around. D15 is highly sort after over many areas. My take is, Telok Kurau area has too many small apt which has been over sold as condos.

I am an oddie, many of my friends like baking cos it is very procedure based. I learnt how to cook from my dad. He cooks without much tools and most things are done with 1 chopper knife and chopping board. He goes by tasting and experimenting usually. After many years of helping him when he cooks, the habit rubbed into me, and tend to cook in agar agar method loh. lilth there are many nice food comes from baking so now u can say u cook better when ur baking food out taste him.. -

My hubby saw that host, said OMG, and changed the channel (I think BBC home and lifestyle ). That host walks more gu niang den me though. -
Wah, so fast so many threads.... I find AFC very calming on the mind and very relaxing after a hard's day work. I only like certain of the cooking shows though. These are some i like: 1) Chuck's day off! 2) Nigella 3) Jamie (he is so cute in a boyish way) 4) Chef at home (yeah I wan his pantry and my hubby said DREAM ON .. ) 5) Resturant make over (igor has his charms lah.) 6) Anna Olsen (but her preparation very complicated) Anyway usually we we go to the afc web site for the receipes. Sammie u dun have the afc channel can go to the web site to check out. I can leave without microwave. I steam with my wok or steamer and grill with my toaster (incl sambal penkang sting ray type of food). My micro wave is for heating up which the steamer can also do a pretty good job at it. I am not into baking cakes cookies and such, as i like to improvise and measurements kills my enjoyment for cooking.

I love to cook, but I have 2 left thumbs when comes to gardening. My hubby has to maintain the garden for me.. LOL. Aiyoh, both of them really spend alot of effort in the kitchen leh. I was given both their cook books as presents and till now haven used any, as I find some of the food preparations too mah fun. Super lazy cook lah me! I like Chef at Home(Michael Smith) show, as it is more simple. Oh yeah. I bought the hand held blender/grinder err what u call it ah.. that thing they always use to make paste or thick soup...

Nah.. we are going to m'sia for church activities and will be back on sunday evening only. We are more concern in knowing the schedules various parties can start and end work. The "key" factor is when we have the keys so we can start work.. . Anyway monday we meeting the contractors and various sub contractors at the house liao. Cool! By then most of the heavy works should be done bah, and can start puting things in liao. Small things and touch up before HO will not be so major also.

Cool! we also plan to have a herbal plant garden, but on our balcony. My balcony has no direct sunlight, so this should be fine right? I already told my CGO (moi hubby too!) he has a free run of the garden, hope he will not make a forest. Note to self : Must check out ur useful website!

I am jealous! Everyone seems to have bath tub! Man!. Regarding sharp ends and edges, I am accident prone, so I told my contractor and furniture maker all the same thing, round all edges as i will be bound to knock or kick or bump into the edges. The house must be safe proof for me. I actually managed to bump and triped in the furniture shop while looking for side table just after telling tat to the furniture shop owner.

I custom made my furniture using teak wood, as I would want them to be in certain size. My dining set is from Pagoda Teak, 1 piece of 1.25m round wood top table kopitam legs, 6 teak chairs + 8mm beveled edge glass about $1350. Different designs have different cost. They also have the rough finished tables for outdoor which is much cheaper. Best is to check with them on what you wan

Err, do note that 1/2 leather tend to spoil faster than real leather though. I am lucky to have someone i know working in the furniture shop where I bought my sofa so mine considered pretty good price for real leather. . I am guilty of loving real leather and adjustable headrest and arm rest.

Me getting my Keys next monday! Hopefully my reno can start on the following wednesday. As my reno is pretty minor, I should need about 3 to 4 weeks period. Mean while I have to get my granite(10 days from measure to fixture) and wall paper guy (design selected just need to wait for carpentry completed) in to measure various areas. Furnitures (almost all customed made) are all coming in Mid to end July. We should be already enjoying staying in my new place in Aug.

Nice! Have it TOP yet? One of my friends got an unit there too.

Bleah, I got the lights first anyway. Design 3 is similar to A except it is 1/2 height. So not much to talk about. My kitchen space is really small and some things will be pushed out into the living storage. I have a store room, but we are planning ahead. My CFO wants as much storage as possible. He had wanted storage of his own personal stuff in the room so we are planning for a smallish cupboard. You can't take a minimalist idea and force it to an uncle lah.. Maybe it would be back to sq 1 of just having 2 side tables similar design to the bed.

Getting moi keys soon, i think by next week. Still waiting for the offical call, so now the clock really start ticking for me to get my act to gether to confirm the our designs. Most of our furniture are customised or rather built when we buy the items. So effectively we can only get our items mid to end July. The only thing we had not customised, was our 1.25m kopitiam style dining table and chairs. We had it vanished in semi gloss black and we had added a bevelled 8mm glass on top of the table. Dining Table (Imagine in 1.25m in black vanish with glass on top 6 Dining Chairs (Imagine in black vanish. the chair legs are straight instead of curved) Dining lights, look at sammy's living room lights. We got the same pendant light. My bed we are getting this King size bed in black vanish toowithout the skirting. It will be tapered straight down design. As our bed width is pretty big (193cm to 200cm) and the room is like only 320cm , there are not much space for much things but we would like to build more storage in the room to store our personal folders documents, makeup/facecare, etc. CFO and I cannot be in agreement on the designs and now we are down to 3 designs we are still "fighing" out. Please help to provide comments. Design A, the design which have 2 same height and width storage cum side table, but dunno will this look weird with the baywindow at the other side. Design B, the design my CFO likes where it has a deep depth but the space on the right side will be squeezed to walk width of 40cm to 45cm. Please help!
