Usually main door type of door not hollow rite?

Just made a deposit for my granite top for my bay windows, we are using black galaxy which my CFO likes. I have like 48foot of bay windows to cover and the shop we bought was the cheapest we can find. I am feeling broke. sigh. :~ Anyway, we were near Geylang, we had decided to pop by A lighting Enterprise. The shop sells a cool number of led crystal lights, and so that it is cheaper that what lightings.com.sg selling too. We are kiv-ing this shop for our fan and crystal pendant lights. I still cannot forget the light i saw in Lights Advance which sells more designer style lights. But when practicality kicks in, I think I will get the cheaper options, so when change i not so sim tiah.....

Check with you ah, did u buy the RGB controller for the strips and what is the length of strips bought? I am thinking of putting led strips along my MBR window on the beam side(got a beam there to cover the curtain tracks) as there is like 5+meters of L shape windows. I wonder will it work? I like your white washed wall, look so cool!

Dun remind me about time! I am getting older liao. For the gang of 3 the bulbs are wired in serial manner as led uses DC power. So dun think you can replace it, or at least i dunno how to. The thing to note is, LED suppose to be able to last at least 10000hrs, which is like more than 5 years usage time liao. I bought mne non dimable, I think there is one type that can be done, but we like brighter place and we would play around with the switches to on part or on all the lights in the room to make it less bright or brighter. Paiseh, me give all my electrical knowledge back to teacher liao.

I still waiting for my letter to go collect keys leh, I dunno when then release. Scali end June then can get. We will have to rush to reno within 3 weeks liao so can move in before 7th month.. The LED is from china direct. The first one is equal to 1 down light, but can difuse out the light better den 1 down light as u can choose the angle of shine. 9W power in total. The other one is really blindingly bright. Good for contained areas u need to be super bright, you can also choose angle of shine. It is 12W only.

For someone who have not gotten the house, it is strange that we have some lights already. . We have gotten a 9W 3in1 box MR16 cool white. Pretty defused 600 to 700 lum and a maga bright light of 12W cool white which have a 40deg angle i think suppose to be more defused liao. It should be about 1000lum. 3 in 1. This will be used in most areas as this provides a good defused lighting to replace the plc lighting. 12W round light. This will be used in the L box that separates the living and dining area and the common toliet. We are thinking about buying a roll of ambience LED strip and put it behind our beam near the window (small space where they put in the curtains tracks) to have that lighting effect. I wonder will it work or not. I am still looking for a nice LED pendant light for my dining area. I can't find something within my price range that i feel it is really pretty and bright.

I think yours will complete before the 8 weeks up. Mine is a smallish reno and the amount of work is like 1/3 of what you are doing. So mine is considered long liao.

When I get the keys. . I should be getting them in June hopefully. Now to confirm the stuff we need and when the keys come it is execution time. Our reno should be pretty fast, about 4weeks max.

Why not get CLC work within ur budget to propose things that you will need and incorporate the previous ideas u like. No need to fan so much now. Make the ID work for your money.

Oui, but this guy belongs to a old school type of contractor. No shop front and basically keeps everything in his mobile office, aka van. He has renovated my CFO's previous place and knows my CFO for pretty long time loh. CFO wants him so i gave in.

CFO and I have decided to go via 1 main contractor to perform the carpentry, painting and electrical works, and sub contractors for wall paper and granite for bay windows. Since we have decided on the contractor path, we have to decide the layout and color scheme we are going to use, the choice of materials we are going to take. Selection of colors and textures and designing of the wood works will be taken up by me. The CFO will do the light sourcing, lighting plan, ceiling fan size, and electrical work planning etc. The (full height on long side)living room tv console, using fomica 2mm black and white gloss and colored interior. We have to discuss about soft closing, etc with the contractor. It will have a small display area at the left side of the cabinet for some small stuff we would wanna put or show. The design is like 2 L 1 slimmer inverted L and a fatter L on its back. The console side wall will be covered from the door way to the balcony door with wall paper. Console Living room wall paper (8.2m x 2.6m). The Master bedRoom, we are going to build our 2 full height side tables besides our King Size bed to have extra personal storage space as we have a L shape window that is like 5+m long. There will be an indent at bed level to about 60+cm above the bed level for us to place our stuff when we go to sleep. The wall side will be covered with wall paper. full height Bedside table. Bed room wall paper (6m x 2.6m). The wall paper has a pearlescent sheen but the iphone camera cannot seem to pick it up.

I think many pple bought their aircon from gain city. Basically the usual recommended electrical applicance shops are Mega discount Store, Everjoint and gain city. If you wan variety and ask alot of questions, be very thick skin and just go any best denki, courts, harvey norman store etc to ask for recommendations till you found the things u . Take down the brands and model number and price and go to mega discount, everjoint and gain city to check out if they have those items in stock and price.. My hubby is ultimate lazy. He googles the brands he likes, goes to model for the size and color, makes a call to hong liang (rumor said that this shop owner is father of mega discount owner) and just haggle the items. He pays them on delivery via cheque. Yeah, he got his parent's home fridge/washing machine and our current home fridge this way.

Poor thing! rest more and get well soon! Since now you cannot start your reno early, take it easy okie. You are doing the full scale overhaul on your new place, and i think 8 weeks is sorta standard period. If it is much shorter, you also will worry if they do a good job or steal works minus ingredients to speed up the time taken to complete the works.

What is the choosen color of the kitchen cabinets. Not many pple choosing black glass. Oh oh.. I think it is very important for top cabinets to have lights for areas you use for cutting and cooking. My current place always have problem seeing the exact color as the light is shining downbehind me, so i have block some light. Was talking to the contractor about tempered glass backing. He said unless the top and bottom of the tempered glass is inside the cabinets, the old stains will will seep through if it is a just nice fit placed on the wall. I wonder black tempered glass would work. Now we are exploring S/S option. The contractor said, the current tiles will not stain if u dun do much frying. He also added, eat more steamed food, good for you.

Maybe he love the old fashion door? Anyway at least it gives u an option to choose the main door design you like without feeling heart ache when u change the door. Am curious, what is the rough COV paid? It is okie not to answer, just kapoh lah..

Actually try not to buy any electrical stuff till you start doing your reno or when you get your keys. The price of appliances drops when new model comes in. When it is almost time for you to get them, the price may have drop pretty significantly. Also some shops may not want to hold on to your good for too long. You can try mega discounts at kallang leisure park. Remember you can still haggle the price down from what is quoted (more u get from them the more u can haggle for further discounts).

I had scenario 2 happened to me, or rather someone was trying to outbid us. We over heard the other buyer's agent telling them the bank loan maybe abit steep for them, but they gone ahead with the otp but the bank loan was not approved. By then the market cooled down alot and i gave them a missed. From my agent I heard that they did not manage to get as much as the COV I initially offered them too.

Actually this could happen but the story i heard like happened around 20 yrs ago. I think my mom was telling me about her officemate's grand uncle wanted to buy a car. This is a 60+ year old man who dressed inthose mata teh kor and singlet and slippers. He walked into the first car showroom and was looked down upon. He got fed up and went to another more expensive car showroom and bought the car with cash! (my mom said her officemate told her that the old man was a old school type of business man and believes in cash more than anything.)

Where did u get ur Led lights and how much did they cost? Thinking to use led for light source

Are your downlights LEDS or the usual PLC? Can't really see properly.
