  1. I only got a kid. My place include my parent, maid and my sis who bring her kids over all the time... that's why so many ppl... haha Also I need to do a house that is pet proof....I got bunnies that hop ard the house freely. Anyway I should be getting my neighbour to do the work. He is a contractor so he will give me the best price and also advise me where to get my stuff at the best rate. Only thing is I gotta think of design myself and no one to draw nice nice 3d drawings for me. good for me to show my "talent" in designing my own house... haha

  3. hmmm i like white glossy cabinet too but concern is cleanliness and if can last over the years. Think we have similar taste. My living room also will do a partition cause I want to face the wall instead of the main gate for my sofa. I am now getting quotations around and so far all quoted me ard 50 to 52k including carpentry work excluding my common room 02. I think my whole house including furnitures, accessories would easily come up to 70k which is way too high!! hahaha
  4. For my living room, I am planning white furnitures with grey sofa and white walls. Not sure what kinda theme this belongs to. Kitchen am planning for walnut cabinet with black top and gray tiles. Am still thinking about the wall tiles.
  5. I intend to do a bunk bed for my boy but he'll be having the room to himself. Will do a walk up stair for him which is also storage area and below his bunk will be sofa/cushion for him to read and relax.

  8. Hi all, I think my topic might be a bit confusing. Basically, I intend to sell my existing flat (resale with HDB grant $40k and stayed 5 years) and after that, add my name to my mom's existing flat to help her finance her flat as she no longer contribute CPF. Right now, under the new HDB 2nd loan rule, 50% of the cash profit proceeding will have to be put into the 2nd HDB loan if applying for the 2nd loan. I've called HDB and asked them "what if I am not buying a new resale flat but to add my name into my parent's house?" The officer informed me that as long as I am eligible for the loan and the amount of loan granted to me is in full, I do not need to give any cash. Eg. Loan required for financing of parent's house is $70000 and amount of loan given to us is $70000 = $0 cash. If loan given is $60000 then we have to top up $10000 cash. Any advise? Thanks.
