Hi Yumsoup, I think u can forget about HAIER LIVING because their quote is very very expensive.. my budget for reno my 4rm standard new flat is 40K exclude the furnitures and electric products and HAIRER LIVING quoted me 60K!!!!! The impression they gave me is they are high end interior designer firm and only intrested in customer who stay in condo, landed property.... My first appt with HAIRER LIVING was with "I**N" we told him our budget and also told him we are staying in hdb flat, he did a chop chop job, asking us what we like and etc then he told us he have another appt so need to go and he said he will come back to us on the 2nd appt with the quote and design, the next appt he did not turn up and he arrange his assistant to entertain us... This proves what.... We ask the assistant why he did not turn up instead, she reply us cause he is busy with another project and he hand over our project to her without my consent!!!! To me, bacis manners, at least gave us a call and inform us..... I believe u also notice not much people in forum discuss about them.. I think is mainly becos of their price and their tao tao high end designer concept... There are infact pently of interior designer firm out there for you to choose from, which can be in same standard with HAIER LIVING and also cheaper.. and most of all, they treat all customer the same no matter you are staying in condo/landed or HDB...

May i ask who is your ID?? Did your ID gave you any contract to signed? If ur ID did then there will be a clause stating the payment schedule...

i did the appt with them too. its for them to do your 3d drawings. otherwise if they do the 3d for you and you do not sign up with them, their effort on drawing will be wasted. its quite the norm in the industry. however, if u take up the contract straight, 3d drawing will be free. so after paying the appt fee and you like what you see, subsequently you sign up with them, they will deduct the fee from the quote. At least this is what i understand. i paid the appt fee, seen the drawings. i guess my id and us have a mutual trust. cause i have started the electrical works, discussed with the carpenter, going to start ceiling works but i haven't sign the actual contract yet! haha he is not afraid of us backing out and i dun think we have any reason to back out. if you like their designs and would like to see 3d drawings before deciding, then go ahead with the appt. the impt thing is, you got to like your designer and feel that you can communicate with him/her. Just that when we checked with our Frens using other ids they actually have the contract signed before the drawing so I was just concerned. But anyway at this point we still have quite gd feeling towards the designer that's why we decided to pay them the appt fee. Most likely will sign with them. Hi ChoCho, I also did paid for the 3D dwgs and i never regret paying. Once i sign the contract with darren, he will deduct the deposit into my lump sum contract amount. Now they are already doing up my tiles which i had also paid 15% of the lump sum contract amount. Seriously doing up the 3D is not so easy. alot of changes to be make and takes alot of time and effort. I sometimes really pity those designer for making tones of changes for the 3D dwgs.... *My mistake* cause i keep on changing this and that.. kikiki.. women.. always change their mind.. and i seriously agreed with my hubby that i am not a easy customer to deal with cause i have high expectations and ask for almost perfections. If darren promise me something and does not deliver.. i will@$#%$&%* him but everything is going almost 95% perfect so far and darren has been very patient towards this and he will always tell me.. "No worry No worry, i will get it done for you or i will think out the solutions" and he never fail me in this aspect. 10 Thumbs Up for Mr. Darren... and a word for you.. DUN DISAPPOINT ME.....IF NOT I WILL... kikikiki.. You know lah... my XIAO JIE BI QI....

Hi Puppet, I have the same case as you, Darren was hospitalis when i called him to arrange for appt, he arrange me met up with Dylan 1st but darren had already promise me that he will took over the whole project once he is back and he did fullfill his promise.. I guess there is no problem on ur side too..

I cannot sell you the quote. sorry, but i can let you know my budget is 40K and darren quoted me within my budget, i am going to renovate my whole 4floor flat and my flat is under the "EN BLOCK" scheme. My new flat is a "standard" 4rm located at queenstown... so bacisally i need to renovated the whole house, i am also doing over laying of tiles at the kitchen and toilet areas.... i have look for 5 IDs, they are space vision, haier living, *** interior, ideal house... and the one i finally short listed, PLUSH LIVING... among all these 5 IDs... IDEAL HOUSE and PLUSH LIVING is in my budget.. the rest over quote by almost 5 to 10K.... I choose Plush Living becos i am very please with darren...

But to me he is very gentle leh...he sound gentle and polite... very eager to get all my pro and question answer.. i totally agree with you guys regards to the contract terms.. all ID are alike.. as i feel confortable with darren and u guys mention trust is very important... i decided finally to appt him as my ID.. Hi Hongwen37, Ya, i agree with you regards to the 5% last payment.. But after must discussion with darren, i am accpet the fact of thr contract and will now move on with the 3D and going to choose my tiles next week...

There are a few of them but i met up with darren yesterday and he explain to me the reasons and meaning of the contract, ok i accpect it and i've finally sign the contarct and appt him at my ID.. Next weekend he will bring me to choose tiles... and my 3D drawing is OUT!!! that is very fast of him But there will be changes here and there... Wish me luck...

Hi All, Visited some 4 ID companies over the last two mths. I've also went to space vision and ask for their quotation for renovating my new standard 4R flat . The ID handling my project is the boss, 1st impresson, very professional, also recomended us some good ideas, friendly guy and not pushy. Feel comfortable talking to him too.. Only bad thing is the quotation he provided is not detail seems to forget some items not quoted inside and also did not state the price for the tiles we can choose from and other stuff too. The total sum for the renovation he quote us was over our budget by almost 5K but to compare overrall i've still shortlisted space vision for their design and the good impression he gave us . Now i am waiting for Plush Living quotation, just visited them on sat, will be meeting Plush Living next week for the quotation. By the way the ID from Plush Living handling my project is Darren. Will do a finally compare and then decide who i will pass my project to.

Hi All, Visited my 1st appt with Plush Living today. Did not met up with darren because he is still on medical leave at home resting. Darren recommended us to met up with Dylan 1st so at least we will not wait for one more week. 1st impression of Dylan, he is profesional, friendly and easy going.. Listen to what we want and also recommed ideas. I can feel that he is also trying to help us save cost in some areas cause he felt that some things are not really necessary as we want the whole quote to fit into our budget too. We decided to go for the Modern, Posh Look theme for our house. Next meeting is for the quotation.. Next week we can finally met up with Darren... Hope as he promise that he will be the one doing our home. Over rall, everything is perfect so far with both Dylan and Darren... Will update you guys once i get the quote... Cheers to all.

I've just call up Darren from Plush Living to make appt with him the following week as he is on MC for 1 week. I see alot of comments regards to him services. So far so good.. i already short listed one of the ID which is Space Vision and the ID is Arena.. He gaves me the feeling that he is professional and i also like the design he propose. His quote is still within my budget just exceed by 2K... I prefer to look for another two more IDs for quote.. Any one here recently home renovation was done by Darren???
