wah so good mah? hahahaha i can ask my friend to help me sell next time... she and your wife working for same company woohoo waiting for your marble pics!
-
hahahaha after reading your point on "children being children", i understand what you mean liao.... (cos my hubby also like that!) hahahaha then you'll need water saving feature~ we used to keep a note book during reno... where important points are scribbled on it, so when go for shopping, can refer to the points and tips immediately
-
yea my kitchen is long (one side is 20 ft), so cabinets also long... if i had done cabinets on the opposite side as well (which i regretted not doing), it will be ~40 ft liao...

cold storage have mah? thanks for the info... will keep a look out next time~ i still haven't found out if there is any nurseries near my area~ yup yup the "will not die" flower - think it's the confederate rose from my googling too bad i dun stay in NUS anymore, else, i'll know where to get -
my bro advised to use 1:49 bleach solution. so far i have been using that cos don't really like the vinegar smell in bedroom/study room but can't solve the problem completely leh. i guess my house is too humid may i check where and how you get the Borax since it's not available in Singapore?? Thanks

citygas seems to be by district/cluster, not by how old or how new the flats are... i shared that in my t-blog (well, i'm one who wanna use piped gas but no gas to use ) my uncles' 42 yr old HDB has citygas, my cousin's new condo doesn't have........... strange planning that citygas has...... in the end, we use induction hob, though running cost will be higher but at least no need to think about the gas tank. yea same feeling as you on chimney hood...

hahaha yea lor... not only when baking skill is better, but also when i have a bigger kitchen to display the mixer... now it just sits in the cabinet la hahahaha wah someone should make this post a sticky.... online shopping for dummies~!
-
bottom cabinet only 9ft? maybe your kitchen very square and you don't have much cabinets that's why.... my bottom cabinet alone already 16 or 17 ft liao.
-
but isn't homo tiles slippery too? i also slipped and fell on homo tiles before, even on the so-called non-slip tiles~ how old is your daughter? maybe can cultivate the habit of wearing slippers at home... better for body and prevent slipping

hey i think you can take bro Kobelala's suggestion. my house came with broken marble floor, which has been there since the very 1st owner. so obviously, there were some holes and cracks here and there, my contractor use some putty to seal it up... it's the same putty that is in between the pieces of broken marble... hope you get what i mean.... not sure if it's the same as the sealant kobelala mentioned though. not sure how big your crack is... but it's a waste to cover the marble with laminate leh~ try to keep it if you can

wow sounds great. really get me interested to grow some... can have fresh mint on my cheesecake or desserts anytime! but just hope that they won't die in my hands..... hmmmmm........ -
i suppose 44ft is top + bottom + island....? friends78, show this one to your hubby
-
ah saw yours... that's the type of flow i want! hahahahaha if you think it's too much, just turn the tap smaller... won't splash so much and also save water usually i don't need such a big flow, so i will throttle the tap opening smaller so water won't splash everywhere, but, i want the maximum flow to be there when i need it i still have an aerator at home (cos we removed from the kitchen tap to replace with a "normal" fitting), not sure if it can fit your tap or not
-
wahhhhh i also saw a lime green one at Tangs.... but no $$$$ liao dun wanna invest so much on things that i may just use once in a while~ sounds cheap leh! for mixer.... do you really need a warranty? i dun think so rite.... but yea lor in the end, i just got a simple hand-held one that comes with a stand & bowl... can use, can already http://www.renotalk.com/forum/index.php?sh...st&p=609393
-
no la i never moderate~ i'm just going all around to eat all the food.... hahahahaha bro surely you'll be busy... we will look forward to go to your new place when it's ready heehee
-
hahahaha.... then what is his definition of "doing a lot"? don't worry, once furnitures are in... you'll wish that you have more space your shoe cabinet is blocking the window...?
-
hey bro i initially thought of using those wood grain tiles for toilet, but i found that these tiles are generally more slippery, so dropped the idea~ anyway, did you read the other thread on the chengal wood? http://www.renotalk.com/forum/index.php?sh...c=38979&hl= i think you can also consider homo tiles for balcony... do you remember my toilet floor tiles? i think it will look quite nice for "outdoor" areas too ahhhh "aerator"... that's the word... i just can't recall when replying yesterday yea those water-saving type is essentially a normal tap that is fitted with an aerator. you can always removed the aerator and replace with a "normal" fitting to make it "non-water saving". (sorry i dunno what's the term for the normal fitting) but if you simply remove the aerator without replacing any "normal fitting", then the water will splash all over the place.... hmmm hope you get what i mean
-
it's okie, your house got ceiling fan! (same one as mine! ) yup will help -eat- the meatballs~
-
i got all my tiles from Hafary at Balestier. aiyo your house is in Jurong, but doesn't mean you have to get tiles in Jurong mah~ anyway, sis Mae's tiles are good rite? that should give you some confidence in getting from White Horse? fire insurance is compulsory leh. normally on 2nd appointment day, buyer will go and check the status of fire insurance in HDB hub... got one small booth there, they will tell you when is the insurance coverage expiring. if so happens that your seller's existing fire insurance package hasn't lapsed, you can only renew when the current coverage expires oh i dunno much about EM... so just trying to understand what bro Kobelala said cos if new lift is gonna be near his unit, then most likely his unit is near a staircase now, rite? so anyhow will need a fire rated door, whether got lift or not~ yea fire-rated door costs a bomb. i also gave up the idea of changing it, just re-vanished and it looks as good as new 4 April no good meh? it's Children's Day in HK... LOL
-
oh this one very important lol better not let the words go to your ILs wow your carpentry looks great!! very nice!! and is your ceiling higher than usual? i love high ceiling! (though me and hubby's height is probably like 5cm less than yours and your hubby's )

wah sis you should sleep earlier~ you still have time to think about electrical points... we discussed this only half way through tiling. be consoled that your kitchen is already bigger than some other ppl's one, then you'll be happier heehee~ wahhhhh too bad Henry already had Excel template~ in my office, no one challenged me on Excel skill de hahahaha~ any news from your contractor on the 2 walls? -
i seriously can't remember LOL~ btw, was talking to my fren the other day about getting him to bring back stuff from US (for e.g., irobot, KitchenAid). He said why not bring from Australia cos the voltage is same. US voltage different so more troublesome. reglxt, since you buy so many things online, maybe you can enlighten me on appliance from US? any issue with voltage and stuff so far? hee thanks~
