  1. i do find skirting to have its practical use. for example, it prevents my dining chairs from pushing all the way to hit and scar the wall so i very much appreciate the presence of skirting at my home~ whether it's passe or not is a matter of personal taste~
  2. her home has no main gate de... hee hee May, paiseh i kpo answer for you again~
  3. hahahaha sorry i didn't dare to open your link in office in case suddenly my boss comes out and be greeted with the imagines on my computer screen........
  4. thanks for the info!! not sure when is the sales ending though... hope i have time to go down~
  5. hey sis! haven't come here so long! was catching up 4 pages of posts... and then i realised this is the origin of the popiah party at May's home! hahahahahaha very lovely home you have! of course, the pink lady is real sweeeeeet~ baking is surely a joy with her around
  6. haha i know... i'm a Teochew so can roughly understand Hokkien (though sometimes still need to guess~) btw the verb used for this process in Cantonese is not "orr", but "lew"......... hahahahaha i think i'm going crazy in all these sai discussions hahahahaha
  7. haha slowly buy la... then got more reasons to go for all sorts of members sales/GSS etc  yea lor! we "talked" for so long but yet to meet LOL okie, let me put up that wedding portrait first. hahahahaha (mae29 will roll her eyes if she reads this~)
  8. Hi! reporting late here... finally catch up with all the posts~ shall continue to stay here and drool over all your great purchases!
  9. hmmm i think Option 3 doesn't point to the preference of larger size? i guess the keyword is "bumps in all the right places"~
  10. same... we also got space issue initially opted for glass door (even had that written down on quote) but changed to bifold doors last minute cos if we have glass door, we can't install towel railings on the wall~ i checked out PD doors before, i remember the glass one quite ex de~ :rolleye: and yea i think a lot of guests won't know how to use it (witness it personally at my friend's place), but if it's MBR doesn't matter... so long as you and hubby know how to use okie liao~ just btw, they have frosted glass PD door too hahahahahaha it would be quite a scene if you have temp toilet along your corridor.....
  11. i haven't checked your thread for quite a while, and finally saw the photos last nite~ nice! my hubby went screaming after seeing your frameless windows (but calmed down a little after seeing the price LOL ) it's really special! you can fully enjoy the nice view in your MBR!
  12. nah... it's my fault not to clean up my house quickly and invite you over to take photos~ hahahaha i was just telling your sis that i've met almost everyone except you! how can it be! *sulk* have you reached your target for bedsheets?
  13. hahaha not only in American movies... my fren who works in SCDF did rescued a cat stuck on a tree before~ hmmm the problem is i didn't know how to shoo it away... maybe you can teach me? i tried talking to it and asked it to go away (i used English since it's a Singaporean cat ), but it just stood there leh all these while there was an elderly couple looking at me and they seemed totally amused at what i was doing~ LOL the best is to be yourself and be natural and yea for e.g. that plumber of yours need some serious scolding from the "lao ban niang"~ *sound of banging table* can't agree more~ should not treat my own kids the same way in future~ heh i have a very gorgeous mom and my sis looks like her. just too bad that i look like my dad so they always say i'm not pretty (erm well i still have a bro but no one bothers to comment on his look since he's a guy~ ) i ignored the comments cos while i'm surely not the prettiest gal on earth, at least i'm normal: still have 2 eyes, 2 ears, a nose and a mouth~ hahaha !! what's the connection between being a mainland Chinese and using an umbrella? totally can't get it!
  14. now that i'm at home, i can finally see the photos... this is truly classic, man. that's the version of DIY wall decor 30 yrs ago omg bubblegum crisis... that is so long ago! i have been using marshmallow since the good old ICQ days... i got my ICQ account same day with my bro, so we each picked our favourite snack as our nicknames okie let's not reveal what is our "era" mine is like Unit 00, just prototype... sis mae29's one is like at least a Unit 01 or 02
  15. hmmmm what does an electric dog collar do? sounds dangerous~ i'm not afraid of cats/dogs that are kept in a home, but i'm very x 10 afraid of strays~ esp those very aggressive ones.... there was once, a big size stray cat (a regular at my block) stood in front of the lift and refused to let me in... i was so scared that i actually went to take another lift and walked one level down to my home wow the Deh Queen has spoken Ely i think you just need to be a little more natural. keep practising~ hey and i think you look great too! and a person looks her best when she is confident and being who she truly is~ so dun let the past affect you okie? *hugz* (just btw, my family always called me the ugly one but i have chosen to ignore them )
  16. bro, you're lucky to have a wife who reads maps well and yea the rain was scary siah.... did it rain heavily on your way back? i love the high ceiling too! but i guess friends78 doesn't like the additional 20% of cost
  17. hey long-lost sister! finally met you last Sat hahahaha~ really i got a shock when i noticed the same floor mat~ wonder what other things we have that are the same hahaha btw, actually i dun notice anything cheena leh.... maybe becos i was too busy admiring your kitchen (and hubby too busy looking at the bifold door LOL)
  18. there are a few types of retractable hangers... mine is just a simple up-and-down type, mae29 has one that can also be pushed out of the window for outdoor drying. which type are you looking for? i'm sure your contractor is very experienced with all forms of wall hacking and wall building after May's project... hahaha
  19. wahhhh since when i m famous LOL surely nowhere comparing to other queens/knights/sirs around in RT hahaha~ COV less than 20k!! if i met this kind of owner back then i might have become your neighbour... hahaha you have interesting taste it's like my friend who likes the Sensui & Itsuki pair from Yuyu Hakusho (since you mentioned Kenshin and Evangelion, i assume we're from the same era ). Talking about Kenshin, i dunno where all my books gone to... probably lend to someone (who never returned............ ) and the discussion between sleek and you on children is very interesting. your profession is in child education? you are really knowledgeable in this area~
  20. oops it's a bad choice to stop by this blog during office hour.... cos i never failed to laugh out loud upon reading the discussion here~ wah bro, club med siah, no wonder you can't keng your way out of the retreat LOL
  21. wah sis Mae you really helped csingeu to upload photos... well done~ the floor looks good! but i can see why our bro here is unhappy about the workmanship of the staircase railings.... the sliding windows part sounds so dangerous~ hmmm i'm still trying to visualise how to take the window panes out... but i guess it's something like the reverse of how they slot the window panes into the track during installation? hmmmm....
