Any Suggestion For Skirting For Marble Flooring?
marshmallow replied to steveong's topic in RENOVATION WORKS
i used homo tiles for skirting. you can try that cos it's easier to find a colour to match your marble/house colour scheme as compared to parquet~ -

LOL... ya lor no choice since i'm sharing with someone else even weekly stuff i'm putting them out of toilet (else the co-owner of the toilets will complain ). so in toilet now i have the following: 2x shampoo, 1x conditioner, 1x hair mask, 1x make-up remover, 1x facial wash, 1x body scrub. things like facial scrub, facial mask etc that are used once a week are duly stored away into cupboards in MBR my frens got comic books in their bathrooms~ -
250GB is glossy piano black finish. 4GB is matt finish. so can tell from your photo....

LOL my hubby will scream if i have so many bottles~ anyway, good to streamline cos it's difficult to manage so many bottles, it also means more things to clean (can't stand the sight of those bottles that got dirty by sitting around for too long hahaha)~ now have to restrict myself to 2 types of shampoo only things that i use only once a week, gotta dry the bottles/containers and keep them away in drawers in bedroom. i practice my balancing when exfoliating legs... Pilate helps hahahaha~ as for mask... i have to get out of the bathroom totally cos really can't afford to waste that 20~30 mins sitting/relaxing (sometimes that 20 mins is enough for me to prepare a soup~ ) -

even not shiny type, also can be slippery... i already slipped on my rough MBR toilet floor tiles at least 3 times~ (you've seen how rough the tiles are... rite?) best advice from me is: wear slippers~ -
oh, HK only has permanant residency, not citizenship (since HK is not a country). So applying for SG citizenship has no impact on the resident status at all. just need to renounce the British National Overseas or HK SAR passport.

i'm using a Taiyo one-zone one, so far so good, no complaints. http://www.taiyoasia.com.sg/index.aspx?uc=...D=292&Page=

ahhh i see. then probably have to use the existing main gate's lock, then change the lock set after reno is over. also got to delay delivery of most (if not all) valuable items to after lock set is changed.

hahaha... yea i also think he will faint LOL but can try... bro Ko, hubby is quite a private person, not so used to entertaining crowd esp pple he doesn't know. LOL oh talking about that Jap food stall... it's actually the "canteen" for the Japanese soccer team Albirex Niigata Singapore FC, whose home ground is at the Jurong East Stadium... this stall apparently "bao" all their lunches and dinners, so you will see the Jap players eating there daily unless they have matches that day~ the zi-char stall in this coffee shop is also not bad... always a lot of pple....

bro, Mega has good price, and they have price matching policy. so if you found something cheaper, you can give them a call and they will match the price... haha just btw, i was never an advocate of big TV... feel that 40" TV is super huge liao... but now when i play kinect on my 42" TV, i think a 50" or 55" would be nicer... hahahahaha
-
yea grey is the way... my next kitchen will have grey tiles............ erm how about just change the main gate/main door lock sets, and not using a padlock at all? anyway when you lock both main door and main gate, got 2 locks liao. i'm not using a padlock now... and actually in my home town, no one uses padlock...

they let you pour water on the tiles in the shop mah? well don't worry too much, think 99% of us never do any of the 8 steps and nothing goes wrong! no stress okie~ wah! i think i'll get stomach ache by doing that. hubby has weak stomach too LOL maybe should use less bottles? or those less frequently used ones, put into the vanity cabinet instead of on the shelf... else they collect dust over time also, might as well keep them in cabinet and take out only when need to use~ just get a small plastic stool then... like how the Japaneses bathe hahaha -
i think round is easiest! i guess 99% of my future cookies will be round! hahahaha hahahahah or make them all bo-tak the cookie cutters are from HK... shall try my Miffy ones some time later i already lined the granite top with plastic... cos it's easier for clean up later but i guess i should take your advice to put another plastic on top as well. the sticky dough is really $@#%@# just btw, the dough is so sticky that it got stuck on the plastic that has not enough flour. i destroyed quite a number of Doraemon and Dorami becos of that yea it was really a joy seeing (and eating) them... all gone liao... shall make more cookies in future~ just found home-made ones more yummy than those bought from supermarkets~

can la... i can see dirts very clearly in my dark dark toilet... maybe becos i'm quite particular about cleanliness so it helps my eyes to grow sharper (P.S: hubby can't see the dirts though. LOL) wah so ON~ coming back to SG soon? i think i'm the somebody... LOL you can do L-box for downlights... so that would be like the light holder for the cove lights... i have 8 downlights around dining room but usually only use 4

just one thing: i think you are not supposed to collect rental from seller if they request for extended stay. by doing so, you will breach the MOP (minimum occupation period) as you are not supposed to rent out the whole flat within MOP. if the seller decided to be nasty and reports you, you will get into trouble. hence HDB always remind pple not to enter into such extended stay/rental agreement with seller cos you can't do that!
