it's the same. 1.5kW which takes 30 mins to heat up consumes the same electricity as 3kW which takes 15 mins to heat up. 3kW means electricity is being supplied to the water 2x faster than 1.5kW.
-
Joven hard to find 1.5kW, mostly 3kW model. Ariston is the other way round: only has 1.5kW model in Singapore. is yours new or old HDB? newer HDB or those upgraded with higher electrical supply (40 Amp supply) can use 3kW storage heater, which is faster to heat up~

haha dun worry this is not silly... a lot of pple do this we went to see tiles twice before actually choosing tiles with contractor for same reason as yours~ it does give you a much better idea and expectation on what can be chosen in that price range -

well it has to start somewhere~ same contractor, same electrician...... -
oh, oh... find your purchase list liao. haha and i have light kitchen floor tiles too... bro, happy mopping~ but hopefully yours is better cos the tone looks a bit darker than mine...........
-
hahaha nice meeting you too~ hope to meet your wife next time~

dun worry too much... my dad told me undermount better cos top mount seepage is worse... hahahaha dunno how true but anyway, from what i gathered in renotalk so far, there should be no problem with any type of mounting so long as the silicone sealing is properly done if the workmanship no good, top or under mount also will seep.....

hmmm 4k sounds like can do a lot of things... how many lighting points you have? i only spent 30 mins deciding all the electrical points, so your 3 hrs is considered quite long... hahaha... dun worry! it's good to think through carefully cos once everything is done, you can't regret anymore~ your electrician is Ah Liang also? -
sis mae, thanks for your hospitality and really nice to see your house in reality! love the big windows! and the blue MBR! and of course the "pantry"... hahaha ya lor, never eat~ so we ate your share LOL~ btw, somehow i found you and your fren look kinda alike. hahaha and thanks bro csingeu for giving us a ride...

wah, see your laminates until my eyes see stars... if you ask me, for your kitchen cabinet one, my feeling is all are too dark except the Classic Oak one... hahaha but this is my taste la.... and agree with your wife that the greyish type looks more matching with the floor tiles... haha btw, if my dad sees your perspective drawings, he will say nowadays, not many pple can do this kind of drawings by hand liao... haha
-
hahahahaha when they bought the house, it's like that liao. maybe cos previous owner got 2 young kids so a lot of clothes to wash~ hmmmm just kpo, where you bought your hob.... and the kitchen looks good after adding the solid top~!

oh... you need my electrician quote to compare? or you can go without curtains like me... one less thing to wash hahahahahaha -
hahaha i also did a side-by-side comparison on excel before, tiring but i think the exercise does help me understand the quotes better~ btw, Mr Yeak (Basic Image and Design I think) also in Yishun and famous in Renotalk. you can give him a call and in case my reply got lost somewhere in the ID note thread, you can check sixela13's t-blog. his house was done by Michael

suan la, since the correct things delivered liao.... human do make mistakes, so even if Cellini can score 99 points, 1 point can still miss... but good enough liao i supposed. not sure if you read my Courts story before..... it's the delivery men that kept apologizing, but not the customer service pple! hahahahaha

i also decided the electrical point on our own, then just draw on the floor plan and brief the electrician. oh man another episode for you.... that's really bad -
i wished that Hougang NUS student had made his point on "can I don't pay tax?" more obvious. it is a very valid point. Why should residents in opposition wards be treated unfair though they also pay tax?

maybe the demand for 60" is small cos most HDBs can't put such a big one anyway.... hahaha -
think i'm using the same oven (if i remember the model correctly~ ) went to baking class, instructor said this kind of crispy pan quite thick, so hard to get things "burnt" on the bottom side. good and bad i supposed... i tried making cheese cake by placing the cake pan directly on the bottom, not on the crispy pan, the biscuit bottom almost "chao-da" so my conclusion is: the bottom heat is not penetrating to the crispy pan effectively, so the remedy would be to place food closer or directly on the bottom i know that stupid crispy pan is too big to directly place on the bottom... maybe you can try to buy a metal baking tray that is smaller (around 26cm x 31cm), so the food can be placed closer to the bottom heat source i just brought a tray yesterday, yet to test... if you managed to try out earlier than me, do let me know the outcome hahahaha~ i use the grill function to make fish and chicken wings... very nice~

600x600 Vs 800x800 Homogenous Tiles
marshmallow replied to Mrs SCP's topic in Ceiling, Walls and Flooring Works
why not? some pple living room and bedroom not only tile size different, colours and patterns and also different... so long as it's pleasent to your eyes, can liao. but so far i only see 800 x 800 in living, and laminates for bedroom... only thing i can think of is the joining part between these 2 sizes will look weird (i.e. become unpleasent to eyes)... unless you purposely make some "barriers" to differentiate the 2 areas. but if you have the budget for the additional $2k... of course whole house in big tiles would be nice -
