  1. eh eh, me, Ely and a number of us are around here are virgos... oh my that doesn't sound good... how can they ask their employee to cough out money for lucky draw? and it's very unprofessional to scold him in front of everyone in a DnD.... i'm glad that he has resigned~
  2. hubby won't know who's the Special One, it's me who know! yea i like him too! BPL news somehow became less funny after he left LOL
  3. ya man... doesn't sound like a very good employer. i hope he will get to join a better company next time~
  4. oh...... sou desu ne.... thanks~ for a while i thought is "The Special One", like bro kobelala's profile pic...................
  5. when i logged in this morning, i saw all the newest threads end at 18 April, i know what happened liao... so didn't even bother to read anything~
  6. erm actually i wanna ask........ sorry this is a stupid question...... what does "SO" stand for? i've seen that in many forums but never get it...... btw the forum is doing some upgrades. all posts in these few days are missing... as if the world is short of a few days this month~
  7. aiyo actually if it's still not ready, maybe better to take the forum offline first rather than letting us anyhow post now... hahaha
  8. they haven't restored the back-up for those dates yet... as mentioned in their announcement, the upgrade will take 2 to 3 days... oh dear, really feel sad for your ID but i guess he can always join another company or start out on his own! it's his company's loss to lose a responsible ID! i'm sure there are other ID firms and customers who appreciate good IDs like him not only the ID matters... the PM is also important... i have this Friend X (a very demanding customer) who had good experience for her reno, and intro her ID to Friend Y, but the ID company assigned another PM for Y's job. Though X and Y had the same ID, Y's reno ended up pretty bad....
  9. i think they are still doing the maintenance half way (supposed to be across 2 to 3 days according to their announcement)... so i actually didn't dare to post anything today cos not sure if it will disrupt anything
  10. erm, still pending for cleaning of wall to stick the 3M hooks... hahahahaha i also got a PM from him/her. seems like a no. of forumers got it. aiyo my house also very simple nia they still interested hahaha... hubby said since last yr or so they change this column from featuring very designer-ish homes to featuring stories of homes from normal folks (pple like us). hahahaha your bro got it too. i checked with him before hahahaha he supposed to have them to come and take photos like a few months ago leh but was postponed. dunno what's the status now hahaha~
  11. wah just one day didn't read, got so many new posts to catch up dun be sad that a 4-room is not as big as a 5-rm/EA. other pple have like 3 or 4 pple in an EA but you have a 4-room all by yourself~ so you still have bigger land area per person~ talking about cosy corner, that day when we went to mae's place, we noticed her windows are lower (parapet wall ~0.9m), so she can really enjoy the scenery just by sitting on the chair and looking out~ while for my home, the parapet is the standard 1.1m... sian... so even we have a great view outside, it's only possible to enjoy it by sitting on high chair/bar stool (which is not gonna be very comfy if you sit for a long time )
  12. wah 4.5kw? btw i remember reading on HDB website that for old resales that has 30 Amp supply, maximum rating allowable for instant heater is 3kW (for storage heater is 1.5kW).
  13. hey i dunno this is what hubby heard only~ anyway if waterproofing is already no good... you'd also wanna redo, rite? better than receiving complaint from downstairs neighbour after that~ not sure if we can provide our own tiles and ask them to do for us....
  14. ya won't know until after election i supposed. your side will have a change to vote too~
  15. oh i checked the brochure again... the neighbourhood renewal programme is for Blk 311~316, 442~455, so that's why my side got the survey form... anyway don't think they can do anything much la, just plant some trees and make cover walkways.... i dun mind having the community garden and the BBQ pit though~ hahaha
  16. bro in the brochure they said the HIP is for Block 401~408, 543~551, so no worries for now anyway, the entire Jurong East is built before 1986 except for Toh Guan area think Blk 1xx there even older than our cluster (iirc blk 101 is 1981)... it will be a long time before our turn i also asked if we can keep our toilet in case HIP comes to our block. Hubby said can keep but if they test and deem your water proofing is not good enough, they will force you to change~
  17. pros and cons for MSCP... old flats are more spaced out and not so cramped between buildings by virtue of open carpark~ btw, did your side receive any survey or brocedures for neighbourhood upgrading program? not sure if any conversion of open carpark to MSCP is in the pipe line... but i guess this will be something the low-floor residents won't welcome~ btw rickoveron, i told my fren staying in Toh Guan about the higher SC & C charges after changing to Jurong GRC. she had the exact reaction as you (about voting). LOL
  18. yea lor i have a lot of friends who give up reading t-blogs cos too many chit chats to read LOL.... that time caught up the 32 pages in supersimon's blog, almost feel like dying after reading... hahahahhaha
  19. no~! *shake head* *resisting* hahahahaha later i get Andriod phone LOL
  20. wah.... this is really a long list of problem.... my goodness! i keep all receipts and warranty card in one folder... now that i have settled down, they all transfer to a dedicated drawer together with the instruction manuals.... so if after following instructions in the manual and don't work, can take out warranty card and call immediately luckily you have May_dream around....
  21. yay another t-blog from the Jurong gang! welcome~ 110 pcs of lucky draw coupons really sounds like a lot~
  22. wah indeed quite fast. carpentry is close to last lap of the reno liao. cheooong ahhhh~!
  23. i actually considered putting this kind of hangers for my wardrobe... but scare if i hang too many things, the doors will sag~ so haven't gotten any type of hooks yet... still thinking (sounds like my wedding portrait? hahahaha~ ) HSW also quite nice la, let you change so many times... yea, if 3 yrs down the road it spoils, i won't feel heart pain throwing it away~ downside is the higher electrical tariff compared to gas... but what to do cos citygas doesn't like my estate and i dun like LPG cylinders~
  24. that's true. my bro's home is essentially an ikea home. he has many big items (sofa, big book cases, cupboards etc) that have been in use for 12 yrs. i think need to look at the build of the items you want to buy in the ikea showroom... some of them are quite obviously flimsy~ and (usually) quality is quite proportional with price in ikea........
