sorry just saw this today... yea the permit is under the ex-owners' names.... they were really kind to help us in this and there is this indemnity form that everyone needs to sign, which basically said that the ex-owner not responsible for anything or something like that.... the form can be downloaded from HDB, contractor/ID should know. hope it helps

wahhhh her 1st daughter is old enough to be the 2nd baby's mom... -
bleah.... i dun like the current "view new content" function... last time one was better... now only display updated thread for the past 12 hours... made me miss a lot of update, including those on my own blog! not run on battery, it has some moisture absorbant inside (cobalt chloride maybe?? not sure...) and there is usually an colour indicator at the casing. when the indicator changes colour, it means the dehumidifier is full liao, then plug the dehumidifier to a power source to regenerate it and reuse again. yay~ i'm thinking of a lighter colour theme for the common room.... maybe will go for a birch theme? that's what ikea is best at rite hahaha

now how many supervisors they have? during my time there were 4... like that very soon your wall will be covered with pictures... no need to re-paint the wall next time. hahaha

while i agree that as time goes by, i do feel that my stamina is getting worse e.g. when going to gym, but i think you are not too old to have babies lor... i know plenty of pple who gave birth to their first baby at an age quite a bit older than you... haha actually my mom gave birth to me when she was 43... haha but i m not the first born la. -
i hope they'll never get the permit to modify the lyrics to have such song performed during NDP would be a total disgrace to the nation..........

mould bugs strive well at environment with mould, becos the mould helps to break down mould bugs' food (starchy stuff, fabric, plaster.. like what Kerio mentioned) for their easy ingestion. imho, Dettol is simply not good enough. use bleach solution (dilute with water at 1:49), or Borax solution (can't get in Singapore). On Borax, search for mould-related thread on RT, a bro called Topspin has provided a lot of valuable input on this matter. So far found Borax to be better. with Dettol, i need to wipe once every few days, for bleach, once every 2 weeks but Borax, once every month. those ants/insects poison can be found anywhere: supermarket, neighbourhood grocery shops, home-fix, etc. around $2~3 for a small box of powder. More establish brands like "Combat" costs more. my guess on why MBR and kitchen more susceptible is becos these places are more humid - kitchen you have all the cooking activities which introduces moisture, while MBR you have toilet and frequent on/off of aircon (causing condensation)~ well just my guess

i'm using FFM4000 with light kit... no complaint so far. the fan comes with 2 Fanco bulbs. after the bulbs busted, i changed to a philip one with same voltage but somehow it became A LOT brighter~ one thing to take note is that the Philips bulb is a bit fatter than the Fanco original one... so sometimes when the fan rotates and vibrates, the bulb will hit the light cover and have a bit of small noise... not very noticeable though unless you pay attention in a very quiet environment~ i probably need to look for another light bulb that is smaller... hmmm bro, any advice on this?

just for the record, home-fix also have. price is similar haha i see. this one needs non-stick pan to do the job

How To Wash The Window That Face Outside?
marshmallow replied to velv's topic in Home Maintenance & Repairs
you can take a look at those neighbourhood shops, sometimes can be cheaper than Daiso it's just a piece of sponge attached to a long plastic handle.... you can use it for many other purposes, not just to clean windows -
Em At Sunset Way

my friends stay at this area (Bukit Batok St 25 next to the school). they mentioned that while the forested area offers nice greenery and unblocked view, it makes the place very humid.... every morning they literally see "steam" rising up from the forest (it's mist/fog - water vapour) their stuff get mouldy very easily. -

Sunset Way is a nice and serene neighbourhood, but frankly if the reason of moving is for the proximity to Fairfield, then Dover, Holland V, or Ghim Moh would be a better choice... though a problem with Ghim Moh is that for many blocks, Chinese quotas are full (well, not a problem if you're not Chinese ) just btw, Clementi may not be a good choice, cos during my house searching, viewed this unit at Clementi Ave 4. the reason why the owner wanna shift house is that the son is studying at Fairfield, and every morning the jam from Clementi to Dover is so terribly horrible that they considered to move, though they love their Clementi home very much. -

bro, yesterday i received a flyer stuck at my house gate, from those wine collector (wine karung guni? ) that pays you for old wine.... maybe you can try those? i dun understand leh... how come can eat cannot drink? you just mean you can't drink a lot is it? i guess you can drink a liiiittle bit rite? for myself, something very interesting is that if i take alcohol and prawns separately, there is completely no problem. but if i eat "drunken prawns", i will get rashes! -
aiyo looking at the chicken wings, i am getting hungry leh... you just use water to "fry" is it? btw i saw a facebook post from my friend who used the Philips air fryer to fry chicken wings... supposed to be able to fry things without oil too. have you tried it before?

my mom told me that for Chinese, a moth is supposed to represent a dead person (e.g. family member) returning home for "visit". also "visitor" on his/her way just when my grandma passed away, my sis spotted big moth at home for few consecutive days..... you are writing this for your wife to read rite? hahahahaha bro you studied biology one? wah 10cm caterpillar is very scarryyyy laaa... i think that freaks me out more than the giant moth but hor, knowing that this is bro ko's thread... i think it's hard to stay scientific for a long time... hahahaha i never fail to LOL whenever i come to this thread... Ely's thread is another one with many interesting topics hahaha
