well..it's been a week since i updated this thread..as not much action from my tiler leh... since it will take 3 weeks for the tiles to be up and dry..so i guess got to patiently wait lor.. anyway...here are some pics to share... wall-plastered for my service yard... first set of tiles up for the mbr... pre-soaking of tiles..wonder y they do it..guess might have had something to do with the absorption rate of the tiles... will post more pics once majority tiles are up... in the meantime...happy nesting! cheers!

finally met up with Henry and his tiler yesterday... I had list down a number of things that needs to be discussed with the tiler before he starts to lay the tiles.. (i) inspect the tiles to make sure the tile's design and size tallied with your choice (30x30 or 30x60). (ii) inform the tiler the location of each tile eg...kitchen floor...master br toilet wall..etc. (iii) make sure the tiler do some marking/labeling on the tiles itself to avoid mistake/confusion due to memory loss... (iv) inform the placement of each rectangular 30x60 tiles (horizontal or vertical)...Henry taught us "chinese one" is horizontal while "ang mo one" is vertical..or watever lah just some highlight points...remember any mistake will only delay the reno process.. happy nesting..cheers!

Tiles arrival...ordered from Hafary...but i guess all imported from china lah sorry for the blurish pic..simply too dusty.. Found some info on the China tiles maker Huiya Ceramics Co. Ltd Sunfine Ceramics Cement from N.America Lafarge Cheers!

well H promised mi will have 3D pic..but till now haven see leh.....i need to check with him again... Btw, was supoosed to check on the arrival tiles with H today..but he called mi last min and said cmi..so have to cancel....dunno due to wat reason..no point asking also..maybe going fencing with fencer Anyway, I just went up to spot check..hmm..hacking and dismantling almost done..except for one wall in the master br and some left over tiles in the yard.. the bangla hacking skill seemed not bad..i supposed they were well trained on this.. mr. foreman was a friendly uncle...never reject my request to see the tiles..though i think not really his job..he took out the tiles one by one and let mi check...just to make sure the tiles are correct.. will post some post-hacking pics in the next post.. Groundbreaking started yesterday morning... Groundbreakers came early..3 bangla + 1 foreman...started work immediately Needed 2-3 days for hacking and dismantling..hope the neighbours can tahan the noise Will be posting regular updates with pic-shots... Cheers!
