  1. If you want a cheap way to change the laminate, I suggest buying gloss laminate sticker from Shopee. I tried before on small surfaces but it is seriously not easy to apply it on nicely without bubbles. Maybe I'm not experienced but it was also v time consuming.and the overall look is not that good if you look closely. But from far is ok. Cos you must trim the edges well.
  2. I just did my kitchen reno, hacked and changed all the cabinets. The safest colour is white. 😄 my previous house I chose gloss white. This time I did matte white but opted for a premium range. You will never go wrong. Other parts of my house I also wanted to change the laminate but my contractor said change the whole door is more worth as the price is not much diff. So I went ahead with that. Turned out good, cos the insides also nice...got laminate and new hinges, so has a new feel.
  3. Admin, kindly add CLOVER BUILT company to the To-Avoid-List. Thank you very much. Daniel from Clover Built. (Unique Entity Number: 53212166W) Carousell nick: tilexpert-cement-screeding (but then again, he can change his nick, so beware) Avoid this company at all costs. He will quote you cheaper than average but quality is horrible. Plus he talks big but only operates on a 2-man show, one cement guy and on painter. He is dishonest and very bad in time management, promised a 3 day job but in the end twisted his words and said he cannot control how much time in between. Then all the excuses came along..man down, man went vaccination, man injured leg, good poisoning etc. Very unreliable and doesn't understand customer needs that Reno needs to be completed within the time agreed as we took time for leave plus also staying inside the house. All his contractor tools leave inside my house somemore, say another person will pick up another day. Nonsense right? As a result I cannot use my room and clean up cos all the floor protective still there. Worst of all is he collects money by the breakdown of 30-30-30-10, out of which 60% is paid out when materials are delivered to my house. And he has not completed the job yet but asked for the last 10%. We gave out of goodwill but he damaged our flooring when he came to remove the masking tape. Touch up cannot achieve the same effect anymore. And don't ever trust his epoxy, it is poor quality!! Touched up 3x still not waterproof. Now he is not responding despite 12-mth warranty. Do not trust this company. Over-promises when cannot be delivered. Plus super rude and yaya with zero customer service. His worker is much more polite and reasonable than him. Still can threaten us with his twisted words. I'm taking him to CASE and State courts.

  5. Does anyone have a clear idea of what is the definition of fixtures/fittings that we need to leave beind for our new owners? Is it anything that does not need tools to remove? Are curtains removable since they do not need tools to remove them?
