Lots of mixed up on HDB's part but the officer in charge has been very nice n helpful though.. Selected tiles with henry on Saturday. here's the tiles! Common toilet tiles: MBR toilet tiles: Kitchen tiles: forgotten to take photos of the Living rm tiles! tiles selection are a headache.. initialli we wanted to go for a darker feel in the MBR toilet but seems like the general recommendation is nt to do tt as wo spotlights/downlights, the whole place will become very dark.. we're still contemplating if we should be 'ti ki' and go for darker tiles.. they're more hotel-ish feel we tink.. haha any past experience fr anyone?

Kitchen.. - U-shaped. - Bfast top with no cabinets underneath behind divider.. so tt we can push stool/chair in when nt in use.. pity only wide enuf for 1 person though.. - No hood, hob should b purchasing either Brandt or Aerogaz horizontal 2 induction cooker to fulfill the 13W requirement. Any comments bout the Aerogaz one? nobody seems to b using it.. - Initialli wanted nt to hav top cabinets, except for the dish drainer but henry says it wont b nice looking.. any comments?? - half wall, half glass parittion to dining.. - Dining table fr S&C

MBR, vanity area, WIW - pulled out the vanity area with couple sinks! - half wall, glass partition - Alumix WIW! - Cellini Bedframe ($1999 package) din bother drawing it up though..
-
This is our intended study/relax corner aft knocking off e walls. - Half height wall/glass separating kitchen n area.. too bad for the beam there, if nt we would hav knocked down everyth! - L-shaped bench with cushion backing and seats.. dunno if Henry can do.. S&C says they can make it for us though.. - Ikea shelvings - Rotating feature wall between MBR & area! tt way study area will hav tv too.. - Thinking of making a roughly 1m^2 table..
-
This is our living room and foyer area.. - Cellini Calypso sofa and coffee table purchased! (e $1999 package tgt w e bedframe) - half height shoe cabinet. We're pretty much still pondering if we wanna level up of leave the 100 drop at the foyer.. any suggestions? we're inclining towards levellin up.. haha

Alright, here's our intended layout and some drawings of it.. First of all, 2D plan: - We intend to hack off the walls around 1 of e rms to open it out to the livin & kitchen area to create study/relax area. False wall to be built to separate tis rm to a WIW connected to the MBR. - Extended the vanity area out of the toilet w a couple sink! no need to snatch basins! separated to bed by half wall half glass partition. - Feature wall to separate foyer area and living. - half height shoe cabinet - U-shaped kitchen separated by a half wall/half glass divided to dining area. - Laminates in e 2 bedrooms, WIW, and study area. - Tiles all other areas will follow up these with drawings of e various areas..

Ok, here's our floor plan: will update our latest proposed floorplan and drawings tonite. Meeting Henry on Sat for tiles selection!

Hello all, A little background on ourselves. - We're a young couple (nt so young actually) waiting to get married June 2011. - We've gotten our Simei 5 rm resale keys on June 15th 2010. - We've already engaged our ID/contractor - Henry fr ID-Note. For this, we've approached various ID/contractor before finally deciding. These included Ideal Design, Sky Creations, Plush Living(Darren), Summit Design, In.Plan, DX Interior(Edmund), Tau Interior, + a few more which i cant remem. oh and of course, ID-Note (Henry). Nothing much to share regarding the process except it was pretty **** tedious! Probably the few gd pts we wanted to bring up was from Plush Living, Summit Design, IDNote, DX interior. These were the 4 IDs/contractors we were pretty much comfortable with and shortlisted and finally decided upon from. Summit Design gave us a pretty good impression but unfortuantely, their quote tended to be higher than the rest. DX Interior - Nice and friendly guy who on the dot provided us with his quote (he said before 2359 and it was sent on 2359). Pretty much was our final decision between him and Henry. But we were more confident with Henry after seeing the various works on renotalk. Darren from plush was pretty good and we went into pretty deep discussions. We were pretty much decidin upon him or Henry. Unfortunately, he had a surgery durin the final phases of our decision making and fate had it we din hav to think too much then. Henry, IDNote - Cheerful character. Frank with his inputs and had a reasonably good quote. Came with high recommendations fr Supersimon (yea we PM-ed you if you recall.) pretty comfortable chatting with him although we did have to push abit to get his quote. We also saw the recent issues fr fencer but we were still pretty confident about Henry so yup, we signed with him! Did I already mention we're neighbours to jeffcraze(although its a diff. lift la)? pretty coincidental, lotsa Simei pple here doin reno!
