Another review, Picolo House where i bought my gals' bed. Service was ok. The showroom had a few sets, painted walls to match the beds and decals that can be bought to match the beds. They also sell other things like bags, study tables, cupboards, bedsheets, blanket, and many more. They are also open on Sunday. The 1st lady who served us offered to give us the measurement + price so that we can go back and do measurement. Thoughtful of her. The 2nd time we brought my elder gal down and she chose the set. Made payment and put a tentative delivery date. Fast forward to abt 3 weeks before we shift in, we called them to change the delivery date. The person on the phone actually said it might not be on time! Cos shipment not here yet! We tot hw can? The initial delivery date was only 6 days difference. Told them they must confirm and get back to us soon. They promised to get back to us on the same day but didnt in the end. So husband gave them till the mext day and . Again, they told us that can only confirm a week's later. We waited and waited... no calls after a week so husband called and :fire: The person said tot was settled and delivery has been changed to what we want. We were like 'Huh? who u spoke to?' Hw come confirm without calling us. Husband told them off and then confirmed the delivery date. Delivery came and the set up was done pretty fast. I would think they deserved :good: for the bed set. Sales service at the retail :good:

After shifting in for almost a month, finally bought the wok and frying pan. As i hardly cook so i didnt really look for it til 2day. Checked with our super Sam jie and she recommended a few places to look for woks. Went to John Little aat Plaza Sing but forgot that they have downsize. So went to Robinsons. Bought a 20cm WMF frying pan and Meyer stainless steel wok (with cover and steamer tray). Actually Robinsons is having card member sale. Some items no need to be member also got 20% off but certain items need to be a member then entitled to the 20% sale.

Loads of hacking in ur hse. Ur electrical charges are cheap cos u have so many light points. Did u re-wire the whole hse? I did mine (30 years old hse), electrical came up to $3560.

Mine too. We did the necessary and the reno alone from 35k to 38k now the final bill is ard 42k (incl electrical wk). Haven add furnishing. Dun do also cant cos next time if to change will be troublesome. Some things we spent more cos more time is used on it like the sofa and bed. Little little things we buy slowly like the clock! So ex leh, saw a few at taka yesterday. Nice ones cost more than $300, so so also more than $100.

ok thanks. I agree, last time i used a frying pan and all the ingredients got to stir slowly and very mah fun when it comes to steaming. Mayb i get 1 for cooking thena small frying pan for just 1 item cooking like fry egg.

Sam jie, may i know where u bought ur wok and the high high big cover? I been staying in my place for almost a month and haven buy the wok. Was contemplating whether to buy the WMF frying pan or get a wok. We do steaming when we cook (cos its the cleanest way to cook without the grease).

i try to go so called the off peak hours like before 4 to 5. Like what rhino said, just go straight to what u want, no window shopping ard. Another impt point is leave the kids at home. They will be bored/ frightened by the loud hoo-haas ard/ get squeezed.

Maybe u can look for a contractor then see if can do within the budget. Do essential stuff first. Maybe u can show us some present pics. IFor my place i wanted to change whole hse flooring, after budgeting, only laminate in 2 bedrooms, 2 toilets and kitchen tiles. Budget only 30K but now is more than 40k (exclude furnishing) There are quite a few recommended contractors ard in RT, can check with the forumers

Mine also no schedule thou i saw her drafting out 1. We kept asking her the wks to be done next. And reminding her the HO date. Also met her on site a few times to finalise things. That was her request from her to meet us. Once, we wasnt happy with something and she said she will go on site take a look and really met her there. Froggy, if u see no action and pai seh to ask direct, can try asking like 'so is it doing so and so next?' Like that dun sound so intruding to ur contractor.

Cant wait for ur hse to be completed. Already the toilet WC is so so nice.
