  1. No, i bought them from lighting.com.sg (balestier). Yes true. i think only if we put fans at all corners of the hse then will be windy.
  2. I started 1 day later then u and our HO is fixed on the 24th. cos our FSM gave us the latest date that we can shift in. So push id to get things done up. We be homless on the 11th Jul, got to bunk in with my uncle for abt 11 days. As for reno, same as us, we have more things to add in.
  3. wah!!!! so many! I only met with 5 ids and 1 contractor. Like that took abt 5 mths and i gave up.
  4. Want to ask, does ur fanco fan comes with remote? Any idea if no light kit, hw much it would cost?
  5. 15may, i bought the same downlight as u! Nice! Did u buy the bb kdk fan (3 blade)? Thinking of buying it but scare not windy enough.
  6. for my 4 room, i think is $2k plus. In the end we didnt change. Cos curtains will hide part of it. Agree with gimz that grilles are ugly themselves. Even invisible also can be seen.
  7. U must be busy shifting in this weekend right? So happy for u, finally can see ur beautiful home.
  8. i like the decal on the door with the ipod and keys - not to be forgotten. Very useful.
  9. Is it possible that to install Blum for my kitchen cabinets but they are already done up? Are there any special measurements or allowance needed?
  10. Same here, no air con for me. Once during my pregnancy, it was rather hot so turn on air con but in the end, cant fall asleep. Switched off air con then managed to fall asleep.
  11. Any1 went to Gain City @ expo sale? Maybe got better deals there?
  12. We went to lighting.com.sg to get our lights. Price definitely cheaper, hope quality is also ok. This is the light for both toilets. Our kitchen light Habent choose our dining light yet as we were in a rush. Will go down again on Sun to get it.
  13. I als want minimal maintanence. But saw it and couldnt take our eyes off it. No choice la, my gal also like it. Will get my part time helper to clean it every month.
  14. Actually my toilet also simple. Only the mosaic is outstanding. She is nice, didnt charge me extra for the mosaic, i think also small quantity.
  15. As for MBR toilet, we also had mosaic, more to greenish tone. The surrounding tiles are the same as kitchen but placed horizontally. Not completed yet. Flooring is black with tinge of glitter. Mosaic
  16. Now to the common toilet. This toilet would be used mainly by my gals. So we let my gal decide what she want. PINK! So here goes pink mosaic for the shower area, only a vertical strip again. The other surrounding tiles will be light cream in colour with flower prints. Pink mosaic Closeup of th mosaic The flowers on the surrounding tiles (dun think can see clearly, camera not very good)
  17. Id told us that all wall tiles in the 2 toilets and kitchen are completed, can go take a look. We were there almost 5 in the evening and only 2 workers ard. One was doing the rubbish chute area, and my chunky, rusty pipe is gone! First time i am able to appreciate the pvc pipe. As our dining table will be in the kitchen, id suggested doing a 'feature' wall at that area. Actually just using a different tile at that part to make it different. The tile wasnt cheap, if i didnt remember wrongly was more than $10 instead of the usual $3. Luckily we only need small amt so we didnt have to top up. So here is the final result ... A vertical strip from bottom to top. Closeup of the flowers
  18. I think mine has top hung cabinet, can utilise space. But mayb can check whether is it easy to remove in future to make way for taller fridge.
  19. We divide out the place, kitchen is my area, study room and hall is his. MBR and gals room we share share and decide. Also consulted my elder gal in her room and the common toilet. So the common toilet is all for my 2 gals. Pink pink and bling bling and flowery.
  20. Ah... AFC, maybe just buy and cook straight away? I like to bake, so i hope to have a pantry room like those chef, to stock all the dried stuff. But... no hope. so i hope to have a long drawer cabinet, pull out can see all dried foodstuff.
  21. Yes panasonic, but a small small one, 550 x 600 x 1590 (mm). I like it cos the freezer is below. I dun have to bend down to get my fruits, drinks or veg.
  22. Thanks everyone for ur advice. My id also very shocked that i'm buying such a small fridge. I seldom cook, maybe once a week? Cos we will have dinner at my inlaw's place then back home. During weekends, we normally eat out cos my gal has classes. So the fridge that i have not is to put milk, choc, fruits and medicine. If i do cook on weekend, we normally buy then go back and cook straight away. Actually the fridge that i'm buying is already bigger than the present one. Mayb i will talk to my id again to have some allowance, just in case.
  23. The 1 given by the catalog not accurate?
  24. Me too, also like 2 hole type but dunno got space or not. Must check with my id. I havent buy fridge. Also havent pack stuff and shifting on the 11th. Cham...
