My sis just had her wedding at the begining of the yr. Thou her wedding is only $1020 but go ard telling ppl its $1200. Still she only managed to break even. Close close closest relatives & frens gave more, colleagues and those not so close relatives gave less. My bro in law spotted 1 of his fren came with family of 4 but only gave ang bao worth for 1. Bo bian la, in chinese society, wedding dinner is like a must. More for a show for parents. So pink, dun feel stress abt it. Since u have to do it, do it happily. Some stuff got to close 1 eye. Thats how i deal with it. We prepared our wedding within half a yr (but banquet booked a yr b4 actual date).

Yes the eubiq system still needs to have power. So its like the wire from eubiq to plug into our 13A socket to get it power up. The wires will be hidden so cant see. Only the eubiq track. I'm not sure abt whether can do it later or not. Mayb can check with ur electrician. Yes it think is 3 blades. Next weekend, 25th Jul might be good. I PM u my hp no then we keep in touch.

My husband went up to our house 2day. Plastering has been completed last week. The air con unit in the MBR has already relocated and the electrician is busy at work. According to our id, they will do 1st coat of painting after electrical work has completed. Then they will do L box and to do the lightings. So far, reno has been smooth execpt for little little issues but i think still ok. Cant wait to shift in.

My sis bought the amasco fan, $188. She said its the smallest. I feel quite windy but maybe she stays at Duxton, 30th fl. Her unit can be quite windy. Yes, i think my gals is feeling like in a chalet. True, true, so cramped now. Cant remember the name of the mover, receipt at home. But i have the tel no, can pm u later. But i only have abt 20 cartons boxes, 1 adult bike, 1 kid's bike. No big furnitures. Threw away a lot alot of stuff, cos either spoiled or new house can fit. Total i paid $350, $250 for moving and $100 for disposal. Dispose stuff like fridge, washer, mattress, 2 cupboards, 2 sofa (2 seaters), tv console. I think quite reasonale charges.

So tired! We are settled nw in Tampines, all cooped out in 1 room. But my gals were pretty excited, maybe to them is like going to chalet or holidaying. My elder gal did say she miss her home. I must say the movers did a good job. They came, checked with me the stuff to new house and the disposal items. As soon as I have finished telling the supervisor what are the stuff to be disposed, the cartons boxes are almost gone! Then off we go to the new house and stuff all the cartons into the storeroom. The whole day was clearing what ever little little items were left in the house. By the end of the day we were both dead tired. Luckily I took leave 2day, went to settle my switches, divan and whatever we can think of.

Thanks every1, feeling better now. Busy packing and packing as tomorrow we will say goodbye to our 10 years old home. Feeling a bit sad, cos leaving the quiet but but self contained kampung. We will be moving to Tampines for abt 2 weeks then on the 24th we will 'march' in to our new home!

I haven choose my curtains yet, Sam jie how long did ur curtain take to be done? I was thinking can shift in then do? cos dunno what colour to choose. Was thinking of buying from ikea.

I think quite true, imagine got to squeeze in the hand to twist or turn to get the bulb out shd be quite difficult. We got those can tilt type and more reflection mirror inside to make the downlight brighter. For my gals room, we have 5 lights, 2 each above bed, 1 in the middle of the wardrobe. So for the study table, we did top hung cabinet that have study light under the top hung cabinet.

i think is becos must also look sui sui. We also had a hard time. We went Furniture mall, Mode Studio (nt many hi back), Navinzi, Furniture HQ, Om, the fair @ expo, The Green Furnishing. Actually was contemplating to get at St Louis (Furniture mall), Furniture HQ and the one at expo already.

Not much happenings in my place, just plastering. Maybe will drop by later. Just as this week is a crazy work week for me plus shifting house, I fell sick. Together with my husband and my eldest gal.

Like my husband, also prefer high back, back problem. We also went Furniture HQ at Amk. But also got bad review here. Try the expo interior fair, nearly bought 1 set there but found another set slightly cheaper and different design. Are u looking at leather types?
