  1. dont mind me, after yr very atas shower accessories purchase, i stalked your tblog or sort and finally finished reading it (and found more even atas purchases!) i love the washing machine / dryer simply because is miele! Duh! I love Eubiq too! i finding ways to put tat in my kitchen now. ha I love the main door lock! very condoish. been contemplating tat but not sure if it kiddas poser if i use one at my new place I love the lightings! DIY rocks and I may want to do that too if you don't mind. enuff to luminate the whole room? I love your brandt hob too! salesperson pushing very hard to ask me to buy tis all cast-iron hob to complement my brandt oven and microwave but my heart is still with rinnai's inner flame! can't wait to see yr completed project!
  2. ahh.. i get it. tks. but still, i was trying to ask.. you see any rusting taking place inside exposed metal ring i.e after lifting the trivet? yes? no? yea, tot of induction jus that the power requirement for induction at hdb seems conflicting. so jus stick to gas still. plus, gas is cheaper than electricity. btw, another question for the inner flame... when u place a wok or a pot on the ring to cook right, is the distance comfortable between yr hand and the hot pan or wok? i.e wont get burn or scalded easily
  3. the strong flame is undisputed. even salesperson said must know how to control the fire. ha so no rust issue in the inside at all huh. if need to install batt for ignition, underneath.. meaning the hob cannot be sealed up with silicon tat sort?
  4. hi there, refreshing this thread if you all dont mind. current users for rinnai inner flame, you guys facing any rusting on the inside i.e after removing the cast iron trivet? cause one salesperson keep saying maintainence for this would be a nightmare and rusting would be an issue.
  5. well, as quoted from a salesperson i sorta befriend with, electronics have their own promos and discounts all along. so sometimes they jus ride along the gss hype. nt jus gss only. the very proverbial ones that you would hear in tis forum would be places from aik leong (alexandra), kong tai (jurong), everjoint (amk) , goh ah bee (hougang) - they're usually at shophouses with not many appliances inside. jus give them the model no and they will give you the pricing. of course, you can nego the final pricing with them. otherwise, the better "negotiable" departmental stores would be places like audiohouse (liang court), MEGA (Kallang Leisure Park) and harvey norman (which seems to be the case frm wat i gather frm tis forum. their extended warranties are also attractive if i'm nt wong) anywayz, i suggest you should try do some homework to have in mind what you want first for the house and then some groundworks to find out the general pricing or best pricing and find one shop to match all the items. definitely takes time but tat's what i did. am working on a thread to share my selection process for my major applicances for the house wil update in my signature and you can have a look at my list and see it helps you to lighten your research ya my 1 cent view. hope it helps
  6. yea.. i met him personally myself too. true to your words, he's non pushy and very knowledgeable too. most likely will be getting my aircon sys from him
  7. you have pmed for aaron's contact! i got it frm forcesguy too
  8. after following tis topic for quite awhile, have finally decided to get brandt FC842XS1 for the following reasons 1. turnspit 2. catalytic panels for easier cleaning (last heard, panels need not necessary change annually. for home use, change once every 3 yrs is fine. of course, subjected to frequency of use too. damage is $187 inclusive of all the panels, delivery and installation from brandt.) 3. feel is definitely more sturdy than tat of bosch plastic-like doors and joined parts. Brandt interior frames comes in one single piece Point on Bosch ecolyse technology - as heard, is catalytic panels but similar to tat of pyrolytic cleaning however at 200+ degrees only. seemingly, it will take longer time i.e more electricity of course, I think i like to call brandt and bosch directly if possible to verify the above. but more than happy to hear insights first from all the folks in here too. yr comments definitely welcome! afternote: I call Brandt directly. and is confirmed - for home use, change once every 3 yrs is fine. of course, subjected to frequency of use too. the panels come in a pair @ $150. simple diy instructions on how to change
  9. congrats on your purchases. sure looks chic! but showerpipe @ $1k is really wayyyy out of my budget. haha
  10. Hi KM, always assured reading your comments on ovens a fellow forum mate has already shared with me some insights but you can give yr comments too care to comment on the ecolyse tech from Bosch cost? my current quote for the brandt oven is 1.2k. is bosch cheaper or more expensive for HBA56B550A? also, anyone know how much is to buy a catalytic panels from Brandt? does the frequency of using the oven affects the annually changing of the panels? cheers!
  11. tat paid off feeling, i intending to own it. in aug tat is. ha cool. i intending to get 3 knifes for everything. wmf knives are really a looker, all stainless steel but cost 2 arms 2 legs. haha so yea, looking out for nice design knives too.
  12. Rinnai inner flame RB-3CG (made in Japan) $900 it would be pricier than the fujioh one i suppose
  13. well then, if u interested in inner flame and fuss-free cleaning, rinnai inner flame seems to be better option cause seen how both salesperson demo the cleaning the inside i.e if food contents or soup getting in. plus rinnai has safety valve hope it helps
  14. tks for the heads up, mate! bosch to brandt, a few salesman has told me bout how light or how plastic their doors seem to be (though nt sure if tat's critical in terms of performance) and been a few places i hear salesman preferring a brandt to a bosch (unless margins are higher selling a brandt) tat aside, mind if i probe how much is the HBA56B550A (i assume is the only model with the ecolyse tech) from Bosch cost? my current quote for the brandt oven is 1.2k. bosch is cheaper or more expensive? also, anyone know how much is to buy a catalytic panels from Brandt? does the frequency of using the oven affects the annually changing of the panels? cause changing the oven would mean changing my build in microwave as well. dont like too many different brands in the house sorry for the flooding of questions!
  15. welcome to tblog! yr unit layout looks familar. bukit panjang area maybe?
  16. as it is for me to shop at mega! I already got a quote from one of the salesperson at KLP! the force is very strong to do a grp buy with you to get better pricing for the both of us. hhmm.. pm you i must.
  17. hi KM, your reputation in tis forum as the kitchen connoisseur is undisputed. hope u r able to give yr comments regarding these statements I picked up somewhere in the forum too 1. "catalytic panels need to be changed at least annually. so better to get a pyrolytic one instead?" 2. "pyrolytic uses more electricity due to requirement to heat the oven to certain degrees to begin its pyrolytic cleaning" yr insights for the statements above appreciated!
  18. hi intro pse m / f? wahahaha careful, starting a t-blog may pose unclaimed health hazards, is detrimental to psychological well-being and leads to compulsive fingering of F5 on keyboard. but anywayz, welcome to t-blog in advance. haha
