  1. am quite sure is the FE811XS1 model that you saw that is $899. not FC842XS1 jus fyi pse.
  2. ah.... the marble really does help in creating another soft look! dont' heck, no regrets! ha oohh... can't imagine when the 3d drawings come to life!
  3. nice.. compressed marble compare to solid top more exp? possible to cut that long for kitchen table top? opps, i forgot. you were asking me a question *clears throat* what sort of polishing? by hand or professional kind of polishing? i suggest removing curry stains using a specialised stain removal product. This is because some of the dyes from things like turmeric in the curry are particularly hard to remove therefore you do need a dedicated product to shift the stain easily. sounds pro right? i googled it. hahahaha on a serious note, for tougher stains better to buy a dedicated product = try aquamix products from the company floormedics hope it helps
  4. so how? got tio bo? haha
  5. hahaha.... really cracks me up. well, is a happy problem... if there is any problem at all!
  6. welcome... btw, jus a gentle reminder. once reno starts, i believe your id will protect the marble. seen cases where workers flattened the boxes to lay and protect some small areas on the floor but it got wet. in the end, the marble slab below was stained after removing the wet boxes. usually, marble are "dry lay" to best compliment each marble's veins and patterns before the actual installation, so may be very tough to get a replacement if in the end the marble has to be replaced. hope it helps!
  7. frustrating again.. today never buy. wahahaha
  8. welcome to tblog... get blogddicted. ha me also 5 room and will be collecting keys in july. will be stalking your blog! ha
  9. 4d, toto, big sweep all never open lei.. frustrating! haha
  10. was going through your tblog and can't help but comment because of the trade i'm in marble is precious because it is a natural product by quarying of the granite or marble and because they're natural, minerals deposit over time resulting in beautiful vein lines are what make marble flooring so unique. natural marble can be extremely long lasting, spanning from decades to centuries. jus think of anicent rome, greece and you get the drift. and because they are so hard, u can imagine the works involved a marble / granite block cut and getting your nicely cut 60 x 60 marble slabs into your house. also, you may notice that a marble flooring is always much cooler to touch. you're right about not feeling the grout lines but that is provided that your marble floor is grinded and polished. usually after installation, the installer will bring in the machine to grind down and follow by 1 or 2 times polish. tiles can't be polished therefore it is almost impossible to do the grouting as flushed as marble as mentioned, marble is a natural product and by default, they're porous and susceptible to staining. some marbles are less porous, some are more porous. but to best protect your marble floor, is better that you wipe off any spills asap. also, by treating your precious marble floor with a stone impregnator will deter the staining too. am so glad that you're not hacking, it will really be such a waste. you may want to repolish the marble to bring back the shine though. also, they're products to bring out the original color of the stone so to speak. EXCITING TIMES AHEAD definitely cause I am definitely feeling all excited too even though I have yet to collect keys. can't wait to see your 3d drawings. rest assured i will be stalking your blog! ha
  11. I think is happy AND frustrating at the same time. haha
  12. haha... when you slot in the knives into the brush, that feeling..... is quite incredible. I understand you earth boy, have to buy, no choice. 14. initially i tot you are doing the cooking on the island itself and yes the pointers our forum mates had raised to you will suffice. but looking at the 3d drawing, seems to be fine or rather a very typical kind of island design of late. but yea, realised the fridge is missing too. regardless of island or no island, everyday or few days cooking, i bear in mind the work triangular flow tat is critical to work efficiency in the kitchen. btw, am adopting an open kitchen concept too. and my humble research points to a fujioh hood which is industry standard tested. hope it helps
  15. same predicament.. i had wanted to go ALL brandt i.e brandt hob and hood but stopped short when I came to know Fujioh and Rinnai. haven't you heard? rumour has it.... rinnai inner flame hob and fujioh hood.... the best of both worlds. haha
  16. if i'm not wrong, his or her purchase is the white version of what i shortlisted i.e WD8804CJZ washer / dryer. is a 5kg drying capacity. hope it helps

  18. jus catching up on yr reno blog. anywayz, i suppose i can't say welcome to tblog cause you definitely have started it way before me. but then decorum applies... "welcome to tblog". haha yea, when i first saw the floorplan, the first thing tat came to me is boy, is the room huge! sometimes i think i use the internet more than the tv. plus you have a little (which i used to have one and I name it "Ah Fu". haha). so no tv, why not?! . . . i take my word back. I am a sucker for mythbusters. ha
  19. maybe i have to start introducing bigger bugs to prove my point. the trees are really quite near. will take pic once i take over the keys

  23. just called Fujioh and asked them to clarify regarding their NL 900. hmmm... they mentioned that the design is of newer model and they have to sent for testing but they are looking at at least min. 75% suction power and air flow similar to that of mk model. hope it helps
