Changing to glass and aluminium is expensive. I intend to do it for my house, but after that I change my mind. I use laminated glossy. Why dun u give your budget say $15k (5k for buffer) to an ID or contractor and let them proposed? Then you can gauge the different quotes you get.

I am very happy today because the thing I worried most is moving smoothly.. Kevin coordinated with my electrician and aircon installers smoothly. Thank goodness for everything..Hopefully all is smooth sailing...

Here is my layout plan courtesy from Kevin: So far not much changes. Only on the kitchen design and living room 3D laminate colour. Yet to choose Pergo family range laminate floor colour, wardrobe laminate for master bedroom and mom's, not also forgetting the tv console **** room. Will update soon once got the final 3D.

Yes grid, I agree. Difficult to judge. Thus, after months of searching IDs, I chose the one recommended by my hubby's colleague. And when I read up about them here in renotalk, they have much good review. So far now, is good. Hopefully all goes well...

Here is an update of my past activities since last week. - Went to our house for final inspection and inventory of things we want to keep and throw. - Brought Kevin to Kian Wah Hung to final select the tiles last last Saturday. We changed the balcony tiles to something rustic metallic. (I love it!) - Met Kevin on Friday, 23rd April 2010 to finalise the 3D and choose laminate finishes. - Electrical and water turn on on 24th April 2010.
