Bought build-in oven and hood today. However, still waiting for the salesman to confirm hob price tomorrow. Received an sms from wife when i'm on my way home... New windows (including ventilation fan in MBR toilet) for whole house is up.. But it's too late to drop by the new flat today. Hopefully I can take some photos to record the reno progress!

In fact the first idea is to have fridge besise the tall unit.. however, we worry the space is quite limited if we want to have a neat feeling. Cabinets has to be close to fridge... which may limits our choice if we are going to buy new fridge in future.. so in the end, we settled for build-in oven. As for our laundry, washer and dryer will stack next to the window in our kitchen.

ID sent me the new kitchen design after boxing up the stupid pipe.. it looks OK to me.. but still need to get wife's approval before replying ID. Comments are welcome!

hmm, anyone knows whether Bandt FC842XS1 can be installed in HDB flat with normal current loading? The catalogue stated 16A current loading for Bandt FC842XS1, but older HDB flat only allows max current loading of 15A.

160 from Kong Tai... I will collect myself so no delivery charge. I like simple design without light, so far KDK A11YS can meet my requirement and price wise is also acceptable. Heard its quality is quite good based on the feedback from many users in RT

Day 5 Kitchen Just realised there is a pipe infront of the beam, which was covered by the original kitchen cabinet. After serveral discussions with my ID, it seems we have to break the table top into two portions, because of the boxup for this stupid pipe. Most likely we will have sink and hob at the left side of the pipe. Build a full height cabinet to conseal the pipe and include a build-in oven, then table top continues from the right handside of the cabinet. Day 5 Living area Somehow the worker forgot to hack the floor tiles at balcony area.... my ID replied it will be done by Monday. All tiles and floor protection cover is in the living room now. Dining area The old entrance for common toilet has been sealed up, and parts of the original kitchen wall has been hacked to give more space for dinning area.

hehe.. same decision here... decided to get KDK A11YS (White) x2 for my living area.

Day 2 Though we expect nothing much for the hacking days.... My wife and I still pay a visit to the WAR ZONE at night:P Also finalised the overall electrical work cost and confirmed additional items we decided after site inspection with ID... Summary of additional items: 1. Replace windows for whole house 2. Replace grilles for whole house 3. Replace 4 x solid veneer doors 4. Replace the classic iron gate with mild steel main gate Just hope we do not need to add any more items... kinda tight on budget liao

Yeah... the floor tiles are in good condition, which is also one of the reason for us to choose this flat. But after consider it has been used for 13 years, we decided to change it to save any potential problem

Bed Room 1 Master Bed Room Kitchen

Reno has been delayed due to some issues with the previous owner, who called HDB officer to cancel our 2nd appointment just 2 days before the actual appointment date. And the best part is that the previous owner did that without even discussing with us...... My wife and I were so upset about it...We even consider the option to call off the resale deal.. To keep the long story short, finally my agent manged to resolve it for me and got the key. Reno will officially kickoff tomorrow.... hopefully my ID still can HO before 7month...
