  1. Another busy day to shop for our new house: Bought the below WMF stuff for my wife... so that she has no excuse for not cooking at home regularly 6 pc knife set with Kitchen helper WMF 30 pc set After that, we went to Lifestorey at Great World City to check out rug for living area.... but the price of rugs there is kinda out of our budget.. those 1.6mx2.3m on sales are minimum 560++.. but we cannot find the color we like. Rugs on regular price tag is 950 before GST..... My wife and I took another look at each other before leaving lifestorey Think we have to settle with HAMPEN rug from IKEA, which only costs 149 for 1.6mx2.3m size.
  2. Reno budget was 47K++.. but I add quite a lot items during the reno... so have to wait till the end to confirm the total damage. yes.. Homogeneous tiles for my floor.
  3. wah.. nice pendant light.. but it will be very troublesome to clean in the long run.. are you prepared before buying it? and it price tag seems also very beautiful... but it will be worthy if both you and your wife just love it.
  4. Day 25 (Continued) Kitchen Bed Room 2 (Future room for our girl) Bed Room 3 (Future room for our boy) But it is flooded with items delivered for our kichen and toilets.. but our son is quite happy with the color. MBR

Hansgrophe Raindance series requires higher water pressure according to the sales person in their showroom. I'm not sure whether TC can measure the water pressure for you. To play safe, I just skip raindance series and bought croma showerpipe, which requires lesser water pressure. Generally the water pressure at low to mid floor should be alright....
  7. Thanks, Ne0mesis bro. Our reno went quite smooth so far. ID just informed me that painting, lighting, grills and acid wash will be done by today. Carpentry will be delivered tomorrow and installation will start on next Monday. Probably we will visit our flat tonight to take some photos. Oh, yah.. my flat is at 4th floor.. quite low ... but it is opposite pasir ris town park, so the view is so so OK
  8. Agreed, we are also using coolserve for our current house aircon servicing. the best part is it is always the same technician to service our unit. so he understand all the history of my aircon, which saves a lot trouble for us to explain but i duno whether it is company policy or not.. maybe we are just lucky for the past 3 years

Mind to share the materials for the rug you bought? i'm also looking for rug for my living area... need to use it to "cover" the speaker wires of HTS. I was thinking of getting IKEA one, which costs about 179.... But I changed my mind after seeing your picture

  11. Day 18 We are quite pleased with the reno progress.. Ceiling work and plaster work have completed, floor tiles also completed for all except storeroom and MBR. ID has arranged an appointment to confirm the carpentry work with us on last Thursday, which is almost 1 weak ahead of the original schedule. Now we can say it is very likely to move into our new house before 7 month Below are the photos for reno progress update: Living & Balcony: Floor tiles with skirting have completed and floor protector is up also. The junks in the living room will be cleared by tomorrow according to ID. Kitchen: Kitchen floor tiles, base for kitchen cabinet, fridge and wash machine are up. Walls near kitchen entrance have also been plastered.

  13. Sort of... prepare in advance mah it is also partly due to my past experience with wireless router. very inconsistant when playing game or watching streaming movie online... so might as well setup the LAN network at home to solve it once and for all
  14. Similar Hansgrohe stuff? what did you buy ah? lol as for the balcony, sad to say i have no plan for it because we do not want to rebuild the sliding doors between balcony and living area.. maybe just another place for my kids to play their stuff...
  15. Hehe.. no wonder i never view any units with similar layout like yours... because my wife only wanted EA with block 500+
  16. Wow.. u bought your sofa from Lorenzo liao... From which outlet ah? I'm thinking of replacing my sofa.... shortlisted Lorenzo already.. but have to wait till end of this year to let my wallet have some breath LOL

Sofa is one tiring item to buy imo . I'll choose Lorenzo for leather sofa... as for Polyester sofa, they seems the same to me.. so i will just settle for IKEA or Courts. Plan your budget well before reno starts... I have to delay my sofa purchase because our budget for new house burst already
  18. Welcome to Pasir Ris lol.. I did not view any units with similar layout in my days of hunting EA in Pasir Ris. Which part of Pasir Ris is your unit? Btw, wish you have a smooth reno for your new EA
  19. The overall reno progress is quite OK IMO.. especially I add a few items last minute (LAN points for the whole house, change windows and grills, major change in kitchen cabinet design etc) ID is quite responsive and able to make ajustment to keep the schedule! Thumb up for her!
