Hi Pete, regarding your post #217 on TV being set too high, what about master bedroom LED TVs? Where the "seats" are actually your Queen/King sized bed? Does this same rule apply? My LCD TV will have to be placed really low if base on this rule. The eye angle (while lying in bed with a pillow/bolster propped behind you) will be different when seated in upright position, am I right?

Hi hansgrohe users, I wanna ask you how u find the Quickclean (anti-limescale) technology from hansgrohe. Is it easy to clean their products? My china manufactured chrome taps and shower equipment now has lots of water patches, rust and greenish patches that are very difficult to remove. Thinking of changing them to hansgrohe but not sure how effective are their quickclean technology. Are water marks n rust easily removable on hansgrohe products without proper upkeep? Also, is the anti microbial coating on their steel frame any good? Is it easy to clean?

Hi all, my and my wifey goondu go and buy a vitroceramic hob from Mayer. Mayer Vitroceramic Hob : http://www.mayer.sg/www/storefront/Product...p;Brand=Ariston What I did not realise is that vitroceramic hob like these uses 30Amp. Just heard from another vendor is that HDB maximum amp is only 15. If we use this, the whole building might trip. We also heard that we can't turn on more than 1 heater to max power or else will melt the cables... Is this true? We are staying at Pinnacle. Anyone knows if this hob can be use in our flat or not?

My new house at Pinnacle Duxton has a straight concrete beam in the master bedroom that extends from one end all the way to the other. Based on my FSM, he claims my sleeping direction die die must sleep in the direction where my head will be under the beam... So now i'm cracking my head on how to cover up the beam completely so as to avoid sleeping under it. I also have a small window under the beam, which the FSM stated die die cannot seal up, as that is the where fortune flows in (so install a full feature wall to seal up that side of the wall is out of the question. I can only do a feature wall with customised bed frame/head which stops before the window area. But then, by doing this, the ceiling beam will only be covered halfway. The beam above the window will still not be covered Doing full false ceiling to cover everything also can't, as my FSM say false ceiling under the bed will lower the height causing claustraphobic effects Is there any other suggestions from guys here? Headache man...

Loan Shark Flats
weak_pig replied to kovankitty's topic in HDB New/Resale Flats, Executive Condominiums
one of the ways to resolve this loan shark issue, I would suggest the buyer purchase the house, leave it empty for 2-3 yrs. You can keep your boxes and stuff inside. You can always stay with parents during those period. During these 2-3 yrs, let the loan shark make their runs on it and after 3 yrs, you can either move in, or better yet, sell the house away for a tidy profit. I'm sure the loan sharks will have given up after so long -
Hi, can anyone double check my calculation below and let me know if it is correct? My intention : Borrow Reno Loan (regardless of loan period) and then pay the Bank back in full after 3-4 months (will be selling current house thus will have cash once current house is sold), thus I can only borrow money based on the Variable Reno Loan Interest Rate (as Flat Rate Package does not allow me to repay early) Reno Loan Amt to borrow - $20k Loan Period - 1 Year (12 Mths) Variable Loan Interest Rate (based on RHB Flat rate) - 5.25% Reno Loan Amt with Interest - ($20k x 5.25%) + $20k = $21050 Reno Loan Repayment Amt Monthly = $21050 / 12mths = $1754.16 Upfront 1-time Processing Fee (1%) = $20k x 1% = $200 Penalty for Early Repayment (2% of Loan Amt) = $21050 x 2% = $421 Thus, my Grand Total is: Reno Loan with Int = $21050 Processing Fee = $200 Penalty Fee = $421 Total = $21671 Is the above correct?
