Breakfast counter Like the tiling on your breakfast counter. Makes it interesting. Your bathroom looks great too!

Hi guys, I'm interested to get a round dining table with 8 chairs. How do you decide the size to get , using the diameter calculation? The width of the chair is 50 cm. Let's say if I get a 40 cm chair width, will the size have to be scaled down proportionately? For those of you who have a round dining table at home, are you able to push all your chairs in? I find being able to push all the chairs in will look neater.

Mirror On Wall Next To Dining Table
summerflowers replied to mix361001's topic in Fengshui Consultation
I notice that yours is half height mirrors. Why not the entire wall? It looks grander. And is putting a console table in front of the mirror still ok? Wouldn't it block the effect that a person wants to achieve? -
If the bottom kitchen cabinets are all drawers, it will be easier for you to access your stuff that are located behind.

Hi Ahbiang, How much did you spend in all for the Lotus latex mattress and storage bed? What is the address of this so called Eclipse supplier? Thanks.

Mirror On Wall Next To Dining Table

If you already have a mirror next to your dining table, is it alright to put a long console table in front of this mirror? -
Is your kitchen going to be open concept?

Ok lor. I have seen our common area patched up here and there with paint. If they didn't paint the whole area, you can see the old and new paint on the same wall.
-
Errr.... Don't think you can change the colour, coz the common area belongs to HDB. You can only use back the same shade and colour, that means, the milky colour currently that is there.

Ea In The Far East Of Bukit Batok

Just went for our 1st appointment today. This is the original floor plan. The 1st owner had made some changes to the layout. The curve at the study area has been removed and a "straightened out" wall is built above the small opening to living room balcony instead. This opening is sealed up with glass bricks. The storeroom was lengthened to be 'flushed together' with the kitchen wall. The opening to the kitchen is moved further up to the slanted pillar on the middle left. I intend to shift the common toilet door from the service balcony to the living room instead. Any fengshui faux pas? -

Wow, need to vacuum regularly to maintain it's beauty. But don't you have to worry about compatibility issue with regards to the power voltage? Most North American, European countries uses 110V while Singapore uses 220V. -
Hi Brascal, Which model are you using now? Which means, is it fully latex or latex with pocketed spring or other combination? I'm interested in one too! TIA.

I saw this before and I like it too.

Repositioning the common toilet door is a great idea! It gives you more floor and wall space. At 11.6 m2, it's still quite a bit of space, unless you are putting an island in it. Look at IKEA for planning ideas for small kitchens.

Errr.... Can't they do their exhibitions at other locations for a refreshing change? It's a bore to go to the same place.

I prefer to separate the laundry from cooking. Keep the fumes away from the clothing. Are you able to expand into the living room instead? What's the size of your kitchen?

Waiting eagerly for our 1st appointment on 23 March 10. In the meantime, I have been reading up on decorating and renovation ideas. Below are stuffs that I like and my views: We have 2 balconies that we are considering to change into multi-fold doors instead of the current sliding door. Notice that there are rollers underneath the doors. We find this idea interesting. The doors can still be supported and yet there are no tracks on the floor. Neat! I like the idea of a built-in shelving in the shower area instead of the usual wire rack that are attached to the walls. As our MBR bathroom and common bathroom are next to each other, this shelves can be incorporated like lego stack-ups upon another, facing opposite directions. The towel holder is interesting but I wonder if the towels will dry up easily as they are placed this vertical way. This is a raised shower base. I think there are hardly any people in Singapore that uses this concept. I have done shopping asking around for these kinds of shower trays. Hardly anyone sells it and they have to be indented. Most families build kerbs or a step down shower area. This is a concept that most likely I will have to chuck away. This is another step-up shower base that is my favourite. Of course, the curve may not be practical in our HDB bathrooms. Notice the 3-stepped design at the border of the tray. That's the detail that I like too.

Hi You have a beautiful place. My aunt stays at Sunset Way too. Hers is facing the greenery , can hear the train occasionally. I agree that 98k is a lot of money. Maybe you want to try to get a 2nd opinion from another contractor? From your pics, your place looks very well done. Cabinets that have stains and yellowed can try to scrub out a little. You have a lot of storage, maybe save your carpentry for the future?

Can the moderators do something about it? Thanks.
