  3. Hi all, I would like to take this opportunity to thank my contractor for his superb coordination. We have engaged Ho Bee as our contractor. As we are budget-constrainted, we got 3 contractors in total. Ho Bee is incharge of the tiling, ceiling and piping works. We have another contractor for carpentry and 1 more for electrical. Even though we had 3 contractors, we are not really doing the coordination work. Patrick from Ho Bee is very professional and he helped with all the coordination. He is also prompt with replies and doing his best to suit our needs and wants. Really appreciate his help. Also, during out lights shopping, we stepped into this shop called "Lights Zone Enterprise". There, we meet an old uncle. We call him Uncle Chua. He is abit long-winded, but he is very generous with the discounts and most importantly, he is a very detailed man. He plans the lights in ur house (very important for us as we got no ID) and also advices on different types of lights. He changed all our lights to GE lights and OSRAM lights at no additional charges. strongly recommend this shop for those who is looking for lights. Lastly, I would like to thank my boyfriend (hubby-to-be) for spending 3 weekends in our house knocking walls and consealing wires so that all our wires for the lighting points are consealed and mostly 2way switches.
  4. Hi coco_bibi, with regards to the overlaying of toilet wall and floor tiles... I think it is unfair to just gauge which is cheaper and which is more expensive... The main difference in prices is due to the tiles used... I feel, it is more impt to know what tiles are used and compared to the prices .... ceremic tiles are cheaper as compared to homogenous tiles...
  5. Hi, if u are looking for heater, you might want to check out multipoint.. It is like an instant heater ... but can used for multipoint ( as in 2 toilets n kitchen)... i am considering that too .... but as I havent tested it myself... I cannot comment much... very little info abt multipoint too..... however, a few salesman told me it is quite good... dunno why it is not popular...
  6. Today went to my unit.... and found my doorbell cover missing!!! Curse the iddiot who took my doorbell... BTW, I think it is not just my unit... my neighbour and some other floors also got doorbell missing...

  8. Liana79B, see from previous post that u cook a lot... u might want to consider Bellari Tornado hob.. go to the showroom take a look at the fire... u see le, i bet u will love it.. hehe btw, me n my hubby got the Tornado hob and a ROYALFIT sink from them.. I think it is quite worth it for the price.. was actually considering Franke sink, but it is too expensive ... I think this ROYALFIT sink is nicer too.. This is the sink http://www.bellari.net/sinkroyalfit.htm
  9. hehe pro n cons ..... granite scares of water, solid surface scares of heat... but Icylim is correct to say that for heavy cooking, granite is better... but then again, I do heavy cooking.. but i chose solid surface.. coz nicer and i felt there will be more water running around the kitchen, as compared to "hot pot".. Josephine, check ur PM
  10. Hi, Kitchen wall tiles can hack... btw, just heard from an uncle that PE approved doesnt meant HDB approved.. even if PE says can hack, also need to submit the document to HDB for approval.. only upon approval then can start hacking... initially i thought PE was HDB ppl... hehe guess i was wrong... to those who is ignorant like me... hope this info helps
  11. I have checked with HDB a lot of times and also with several IDs.. the reply is NO NO NO... however, someone from the forum did mention his/her house toilet can hack... so now, i was quite confused... but, personally, i still think cannot and i rather overlay then to face HDB fine...

  16. Hi Happy, I have to comment abit abt de***n profe***on. If you wanna get them, PLEASE PLEASE go n take a look at their workmanship b4 u decide. Their price no doubt is on the cheaper side... but their quality and workmanship is also on the lousier side... i am strongly against taking them... but then again.. it is ur call... this is just my personal opinion...
  17. hi babymaro2003, eyy.... u better ask him for a breakdown... also, take special note of the quality of the material used... sometimes they quote cheap, but the material really lousy.... at least go for average material.... no need super GOOD one.. unless of coz, if ur budget allows it...
  18. Hi babymaro2003, By right, they should... Get a better ID.. the person who said that is so irresponsible.. Dun pay them IF they dun change the tile!!!
