from my understanding, if you don't need the heater, off it. Reason is beause electricity will start running when heater is switched on.. not when u turn on the tap.

FYI only. 3G2W - $10 2G2W - $6 Double Socket Plug - $6 Water Heater - $12.50 Door Bell (the one u press outside) - $4 I realise the price can really differs a lot.
