  1. What i heard from electronic store is that no wall mount is provided for 32" and below. Have to buy individually. For the console, ya it's custom-made..lol we wanted a place to put DVD players, remote controllers and handphones since we do not have bedside table. i would pm you the price...basically just a few pcs of wooden panels and laminates...LOL
  2. hihi, haha not really...instant heater can be used too. It's just that HDB provides hot and cold water inlet for new flats nowadays so that it's not much of a hassle to install storage heater. You can check with your contractor about this. You can check around renotalk or singapore brides for more info on this because i remember there's a thread about this kind of situation somewhere. Yup that's ice cube lighting...cheap and nice...sufficient enough for the walkway in my opinion. =)
  3. haha good luck in getting your rug =) luckily we manage to find this place for rugs...if not, my 2nd choice would be the rugs from lorenzo price ranging from $400 and above...so to me, i find it very worth it for that piece of rug. But come to think of it, i hope the carpet would not be torn apart by my baby crawling around pulling whatever she can...=P hope that the salesman's words are true...material is good and cannot be pulled out. =P
  4. haha seems like reno t-blog is crowded with a lot of peeps from Sengkang and Punggol. =P
  5. Hee...jiayou on your reno thread too. A lot of helpful people around here. Just search around this forum before purchasing any stuff or choosing ID if you are a layman like me. I search for all info on the internet before choosing my items but of course must be within budget..=P
  6. yup...she's very happy with the result. Burnt another hole in my pocket as i needed to buy another ultra slim bracket for the TV. but at least she's happy then that's good enough..LOL
  7. =) Here you are. The price is $33. You can check out at the website below. Buy and stick on our own. http://www.artukidding.com/wall-decals-classic-designs/
  8. Hee thanks! hopefully everything white would not be destroyed during housewarming by all the kids coming.. =P
  9. Hee thanks! for the carpet..we went to Jackson Design Hub at Tai Seng St. It's quite a big warehouse with a lot of carpets over there. Prices range from $80 - $250. (mine is a 2.3m by 1.6m for $190) which i think is quite a good buy for the quality. Cash/Nets and carry and they are only open on weekdays. Do take note of their lunch time...coz we went there around 12.30...no one was around and we had to walk for 15mins to get to the nearest kopitiam to eat before we came back. =)
  10. yup flush out should be better in terms of ventilation. But my wife wanted "flush in" for the effect...for first time impression...haha... all the ports still able to access as long as a tilting mount is used. Hee you can take a look at my new photos at my blog as the feature wall is finally done last Saturday. The carpenter manage to get the TV "flushed into" the wall.. =P
  11. Our Living Room: Finally Our Baby Room with Deco =) :
  12. NEW PHOTOS UP!!! Completed House Finally!! Front View of Divider from Entrance (with decal done by my wife): View of Divider from Living Room: Feature Wall finally done (after boxing up the panel): Front View (Yay! no more cables to be seen except the TV console =P): Side View (Totally Flushed In!!):
  13. FLUSH IN--TV built into the feature wall...from the side...unable to see the TV coming out. (need exact thickness of wall mount + TV in order to gauge the thickness of the feature wall needed in order to hide everything by the side) FLUSH OUT---TV just mount onto the feature wall....from the side...able to see the back of the TV.
  14. hee...at least you are able to accept it...my wife totally can't ...zzz...hee you can try see my updated photos next week...since my contractor is coming down tomorrow to box up the feature wall before i mount the TV again. Hopefully everything goes well...sighzz...if not...we would have to accept as it is then.
  15. Hee hope to see yours soon with the TV in it. well....my wife had high expectations of that feature wall...so i have to change the whole thing for her...even though it looks OK...=P
  16. Just to share my experience. For me, we tried to do flushed in as well...but the wall mount was too thick given free by samsung. And now, i can even see the mount by the side. You can check out my blog around the last few pages for my feature wall. The 2nd thing you might like to take note would be borders around the TV. Is there enough space for the person to mount the TV in it? or the fingers would be "kiap" by the borders when you try to mount it? haha hope you understand what i mean and hope yours would be problem free unlike mine. I have to box up my whole feature wall now and change to a ultra slim mount for samsung led. More money down the drain. P.S. Flushed in is nice. I'm doing it for first impression only when people come to here for house warming. haha few years down the road, i wouldn't care about the feature wall le. =P
  17. Hi 15May, Nice house you have! Just curious, is your TV going to be flushed in on the feature wall or is it going to be flushed out?
  18. haha yup...it's really comfy...hopefully everything is still in good shape after housewarming parties...=P anyone can advise on what i can use to clean off sofa stains like ink or food or drink stains?
  19. Pictures of our feature wall with TV...but we have to re-do the whole thing now as the effect is lousy. All wiring and the wall mount can be seen. Really regretted not taking super slim bracket for samsung so that i can just box up the hole behind the TV and mount on it.
  20. Photos of our simple toilets: (no changing of wall tiles..) Common Toilet: MBR Toilet: Tiles we used to overlay both toilets: (had no time to wash the floor yet...=P)
  21. You can check out my blog for my curtains...we tried to use biege for living room...light grey for study room...little bit of pink for my baby's room...well for master bedroom....we chose a darker colour because...the whole house was indeed too white...LOL...
  22. Hee remember to ask them to write down lowest price guarantee on the invoice if delivery is quite long like about 3 months...just in case the price drops. =P
  23. yoyo neighbour =) haha yes...it's because of the groove...sianz..Samsung tried to used the longest bolt they have to try to mount already but can't so need to increase the hole behind by about 2 inches in order to bring out the mount. You are right man...the tilting bracket that Samsung had given to me is too long...anyway it's free so i just take lo. But to make the panel, i'm asking my contractor to waive off the cost since he delayed my reno plus he told me there should be no problems with mounting...=P Thanks for your advice man... cya around!
  24. New added panel in MBR with the 32" LCD mounted....didn't ask my contractor to build another feature wall to hide the wirings since i've exceeded my budget..=P The glass arrived yesterday for the divider but didn't look as fantastic as in the 3D drawings...LOL....Guess we need to put some wall decals on it to decorate it. Front View: Back View: Sighz...TV in living room still not mounted yet as Samsung personnel mentioned they can't do it unless there's a panel behind for them to bring out the mount...so i seriously have no idea if it would still be flushed in by then...They would come again to mount the TV once contractor finishes the wooden panel to hold the mount.
  25. Hee Thanks! Yours looks good as well =)
