  1. Finally, I completed my DIY wiring... 9 soild days from nothing to 27 3-pin sockets, 6 fans point and 37 lightings point! However, I give up my RJ-45 wiring as is too thick to go through those access holes. Material Used 1.5" PVC Casing - 58pc 1" PVC - 14pc 1.5mm wire - 7 rolls (Red/Black/Green) 2.5mm wire - 6 rolls (Red/Black/Green) Coaxial - 60m Telephone Cable - 30m and more....
  2. Plastering completed today and so electrical works commence!! This was my virgin attempt doing wiring work for the whole house and seriously, is not easy! I prepared 20 x 1.5" PVC casings and yet just enuff for my living room... Cowz! Under-estimated... So for the whole 2nd half of today, I relocated and migrated the old DB box to my new DB box and fix up pvc casing around my living room. Shack~~~
  3. Personally, I got 5 x 44" baby fans, 2 in living hall and 3 for bedrooms but to install. Current house, I'm using Elmark 48", diy-ed the installation, no complain on its performance. Both are using bracket, for Elmark, it uses 4 x 10mm metal wall plugs... So, my point here is, Elmark 48" already used 4 x 10mm metal wall plugs but for those hook type, fan size are 50" ~ 60" and yet used 2 x ??mm metal wall plugs, can it really subtain the weight stress?
  4. 3 more days, my reno coming to a mth. Wet work is completing, the only leftover is plastering the whole hse, which gonna to start this wed. My diy electrical starting this coming Sunday... Last week, 1 fine evening, I detected 1 homo tile "hollow" @ living area and of cos I reported to him. After 4 days, I realised he changed 3 homo tiles which he himself detected another 2 "hollow" (1 @ living area, 1 @ mbr). From his pro-active initative, I'm impressed. Up till now, I'm quite happy with my ID although on and off there are some hiccups here and there. So far, I didn't have any unpleasant encounter with him hence I would like to compliment him, Ming Jun from H.A Concept for his responsible attitude and also all his friendly workers with good workmanship. I also got to know, his wet work workers are his boss's relatives.
  5. Update on Windows... Was rushing with some projects, hence only drop-by a few minutes to take photo from outside... My a/c compressor was blocking the windows from opening, need to relocation it lower... Haiz... $$$ again. Living Room and Balcony MBR and 2 BRs

  9. Yesterday, I called my ID, attempt to cancel but he told me already febricating, cannot cancel and over the phone, he say quoted was $3,700 but actual was not more than $3,500. However last evening, I went up to my hse and did my own measurement.... LR - 4100 x 2100 = 8610000 sq mm => 92.677 sq ft MBR - 2400 x 1300 = 3120000 sq mm => 33.583 sq ft BR1 - 2100 x 1300 = 2730000 sq mm => 29.385 sq ft BR2 - 2100 x 1300 = 2730000 sq mm => 29.385 sq ft Kitchen - 2100 x 1300 = 2730000 sq mm => 29.385 sq ft Balcony - 3700 x 1300 = 4810000 sq mm => 51.774 sq ft Bal. Fixed Panel - 3700 x 600 = 2220000 sq mm => 23.896 sq ft Total: 26950000 sq mm => 290.085 sq ft ID Charged me $3,500 for all casement windows except balcony, whereas balcony alone, sliding with fix panel @ $896 but manage to get "free" upgrade to casement windows too. Reverse Calculation... For all casement windows except balcony > $3,500 / 214.415 sq ft = $16.32 / sq ft Balcony with fix panel alone > $896 / 75.67 sq ft = $11.84 / sq ft To summarise, in total, I'm paying $4,396 for 290.085 sq ft of casement windows + fixed panel @ balcony area + fix up casement air-con opening. Base on my measurement and calculation, am I correct? In this case, my windows are d@mn big...
